His voice's awesome. My father was watching it with me and he said "Dang, he sounds REALLY Southern" (and we're both Dixens too!) Remember, we don't have an accent, y'all do. ;)
I thought Virgil was excellent (and funny).

    Virgil Goode 2012! :D

a "Constitutionalist" that's ok with prohibition is fail.

on a funny note, he does remind me of Andrew Jackson.

    I noticed Johnson didn't

I noticed Johnson didn't bring up Kony....And Goode said he'd let the states handle it.

    Now that's more like it!

I enjoyed this debate ... and the witty comments posted here as color commentary!

This was easier to watch than the crucibles Dr. Paul endured during the last two most recent primary cycles.

I only cringed a couple of times tonight compared to every time one of Dr. Paul's opponents spoke during the last two Republican primary cycles.

    Watched it and enjoyed

Voting Gary 1 and Rocky 2.
I didn't know much about Rocky before today.
I really didn't like an answer or two from him, but I did like a couple other things.
Jill had a couple good points, and then some stuff I really didn't agree with.
Didn't see eye to eye with Virgil.

What I got from tonight's debate:

-- Jill Stein: "The weather should be the same every day, forever."
-- Rocky Whatshisname: "College should be free for everyone, for their whole lives, forever."
-- Virgil Goode: "Git yur dad blanged imgrunt frind offin' mah lahn, or'n he gits one raht tween them bran eyes uh his!"
-- Gary Johnson: "Where is Obomney? I wanna piece of him!!!"

    must ... stop ... laughing ... !

Vince, your impression of Virgil has me laughing still ... I mean watering-eyes-laughing!

That said, I respect the man more after tonight ... he won't get my vote, but I respect a man who tells you as he sees it.

    Bustin ribs here Vince

    Gary Johnson

Gary Johnson had quite an impressive presence at this debate, especially considering he was "the sickest he's ever been" - he mentioned it in the pre-debate show - hope he gets well soon. He could tear Obama and Romney apart in a debate - it's too bad they were too chicken to show up.

The others were up and down but I thought did a pretty good job - I don't agree with any of them 100% but I agree with all 4 of them more than either Obama or Romney. It's a shame most Americans don't pay attention.

    I donated... Definitely worth

    I donated... Definitely worth it.

So, will there be a post-debate roundtable discussion by

Ben Swann, et al ? Where can I watch it?

    Nice Debate!

Goode (get it?) debate! I just wish there had been more focus on marriage and abortion -maybe if the time had been longer.

    Virgil Goode 2012! :D

PS: Anyone know when we are able to vote for the next debate? Whenever I try to navigate freeandequal, it gives me a database error. :/

    Marriage and abortion are

Marriage and abortion are both technically not functions of the Federal government. Why do you think they are?

What was that stipulation near the end?

Did they say that only two of these candidates would go on to the second debate in Washington D.C pending the votes at freeandequal.org? I wasn't aware that today's debate was going to be an elimination round.

Feel free to reuse any resources/ideas that I post on the DailyPaul on other networking sites.

i took it as this debate was

i took it as this debate was so successful. They are going to do a second debate and this poll was a way to let the grassroots decide who is in it. a win for liberty either way.

    Ron Paul 2016

    So refreshing to see a

So refreshing to see a presidential debate with real questions that address some of the real issues that we are facing. Gary has my vote.

Great real debate for a change

Discussed real issues. Look forward to the next one.

Gary Johnson reassured me that he is the best choice

Gary Johnson was head and shoulders above the other candidates in this debate.

We all want progress, but if you're on the wrong road, progress means doing an about-turn and walking back to the right road; in that case, the man who turns back soonest is the most progressive.

    -C. S. Lewis

    I have always...

...leaned toward the underdog, but DAMN! Gary Johnson came out swinging. He said in the pre-debate interview that he was the sickest he has ever been in his life. For a man to stand and be counted regardless of his own health, underdog my butt. This man is a front runner if ever I've seen one. I will be more than happy to "waste my vote" and by doing so, save my political soul. Thank you Mr. Johnson, thank you.
