Why it is impossible for any Ron Paul supporter to vote for Mitt Romney

With just a few days before the election, it is now becoming apparent that some in the GOP are trying to woo the Ron Paul supporters to forgive and forget about the treatment that Ron Paul received during his run for the Presidency of the United States.

Even if we wanted to vote for Romney at this point, we can't. To do so will only encourage the GOP to sabotage any future candidates that the Libertarian Republicans put forth. If you go in there and pull that lever for Romney, your message will be heard loud and clear, "it's OK to cheat us, we will vote for you anyway."

Is that the message you want to send to the GOP, that any liberty candidate can have his delegates stolen from him and have the dirtiest of pool played against him and we will just forgive and forget and go off and vote for the lessor of two evils? We got to send a message to the GOP that they can not win without us and if they choose to treat any future candidate of ours with such blatant disrespect, that we will see to it their candidate will lose. Failure to do this is basically encouraging the GOP to cheat liberty candidates again and again.

If you don't agree with the way they treated Dr. Paul and you vote for Romney, then you encourage the GOP to cheat in the next election again. Don't forgive and don't forget what these cheaters have done to "OUR" Presidential Candidate.

Remember the way they treated the delegates from Maine. Don't do it folks, just don't do it.

Today is where the men get seperated from the boys

The GOP is counting on you voting for Mitt today. You all said that you were upset the way Ron Paul was treated during the election. You said you would never forget it and you would never forgive the GOP. So why are many of you going to get up this morning and vote for Mitt Romney?

Why are you going to ruin our chances of getting a liberty candidate into the white house in 4 years? You need to fish or cut bait today and I for one am going to vote for a Third Party Candidate. Remember this, if we are so far gone that one election will destroy this Country then our Country is already to far gone to save so when you get to the poll today and pull that lever, remember what you are teaching the GOP. You are teaching them to cheat, lie, steal, slander any liberty candidate and you will still vote for their man. Not me, I will stand for something far more important than some lying shill who has been bought off by the Banksters.

Stand tall with me today and don't vote for one of the the two lesser devils today. Vote for a man that you believe is honest and moral. Vote for that person who stands for liberty and not some stupid Party that has destroyed our way of life.

Here's a reason to vote Romney...destroy Abrahamic grip on Earth

With mitt comes the acceptance of Mormonism. The acceptance of Mormonism dilutes the integrity of all Abrahamic religions...which has the world in a violent, financial, bloodline-based stranglehold.

With the dilution of Abrahamic religions, better spiritual systems rise up. Ones that better prevent oligarchial oppression.

I know that the democrats seem fairly anti-god at times, but that's only to appeal to a certain audience. Otherwise, they are pro-Abrahamic religions all the way.

And I know Ron paul is Christian. But Paul supporters are not the cultist sheep that Johnson people claim we are.

I didn't think that this was a story written by Rand Paul.

I guessed right. Rand should read this if he takes some time away from his Romney campaigning.

Thanks for writing his original story.

Because both Romney and Obama are textbook Fascists?

Dr. Lawrence Britt has examined the fascist regimes of Hitler (Germany), Mussolini (Italy), Franco (Spain), Suharto (Indonesia) and several Latin American regimes. Britt found 14 defining characteristics common to each:
1. Powerful and Continuing Nationalism - Fascist regimes tend to make constant use of patriotic mottos, slogans, symbols, songs, and other paraphernalia. Flags are seen everywhere, as are flag symbols on clothing and in public displays.
2. Disdain for the Recognition of Human Rights - Because of fear of enemies and the need for security, the people in fascist regimes are persuaded that human rights can be ignored in certain cases because of "need." The people tend to look the other way or even approve of torture, summary executions, assassinations, long incarcerations of prisoners, etc.
3. Identification of Enemies/Scapegoats as a Unifying Cause - The people are rallied into a unifying patriotic frenzy over the need to eliminate a perceived common threat or foe: racial , ethnic or religious minorities; liberals; communists; socialists, terrorists, etc.
4. Supremacy of the Military - Even when there are widespread domestic problems, the military is given a disproportionate amount of government funding, and the domestic agenda is neglected. Soldiers and military service are glamorized.
5. Rampant Sexism - The governments of fascist nations tend to be almost exclusively male-dominated. Under fascist regimes, traditional gender roles are made more rigid. Divorce, abortion and homosexuality are suppressed and the state is represented as the ultimate guardian of the family institution.
6. Controlled Mass Media - Sometimes to media is directly controlled by the government, but in other cases, the media is indirectly controlled by government regulation, or sympathetic media spokespeople and executives. Censorship, especially in war time, is very common.
7. Obsession with National Security - Fear is used as a motivational tool by the government over the masses.
8. Religion and Government are Intertwined - Governments in fascist nations tend to use the most common religion in the nation as a tool to manipulate public opinion. Religious rhetoric and terminology is common from government leaders, even when the major tenets of the religion are diametrically opposed
to the government's policies or actions.
9. Corporate Power is Protected - The industrial and business aristocracy of a fascist nation often are the ones who put the government leaders into power, creating a mutually beneficial business/government relationship and power elite.
10. Labor Power is Suppressed - Because the organizing power of labor is the only real threat to a fascist government, labor unions are either eliminated entirely, or are severely suppressed.
11. Disdain for Intellectuals and the Arts - Fascist nations tend to promote and tolerate open hostility to higher education, and academia. It is not uncommon for professors and other academics to be censored or even arrested. Free expression in the arts and letters is openly attacked.
12. Obsession with Crime and Punishment - Under fascist regimes, the police are given almost limitless power to enforce laws. The people are often willing to overlook police abuses and even forego civil liberties in the name of patriotism. There is often a national police force with virtually unlimited power in fascist nations.
13. Rampant Cronyism and Corruption - Fascist regimes almost always are governed by groups of friends and associates who appoint each other to government positions and use governmental power and authority to protect their friends from accountability. It is not uncommon in fascist regimes for national resources and even treasures to be appropriated or even outright stolen by government leaders.
14. Fraudulent Elections - Sometimes elections in fascist nations are a complete sham. Other times elections are manipulated by smear campaigns against or even assassination of opposition candidates, use of legislation to control voting numbers or political district boundaries, and manipulation of the media. Fascist nations also typically use their judiciaries to manipulate or control elections.

How about an article about how it is "impossible"

for Paul people to vote Obama? Always the double standard...

Thank you for your heart felt comments

In my humble opinion there is a big difference in voting for Obama over Romney. The difference is, we are not trying to take over the Democratic Party but we are trying to make in roads in the Republican Party.

Does any of us feel that there is one iota difference between Obama and Romney? I for one do not believe there is. They are both bought and paid for by Wall Street and the men who print our money.

These villains, and they are indeed villains are oblivious to our wants and wishes. But that should not stop us from standing up and voting for the man who will best show the Republican Party that with decisions comes consequences.

I would tell the Republican party that we are on a quest and we have our itinerary wrote down and we realize that not all of us are going to make it into the new promise land but "our children" should be the beneficiaries of our perseverance into restoring liberty. Our liberty was not taken away from us in one election. It took time for these Banksters and crooked thieves in Washington to steal our freedoms away from us.

It will take more than one election for us to regain our freedom. I see that the establishment is already trying to put themselves in a position to make the decision on who will get in the 3rd Party debates.

I distrust any MSM Period so forgive me when my stomach turns when I hear some nit wit talking about Global Warming and he is running for the POTUS. We got to get better candidates and we can do that by sticking to the Republican Party and not leave it. They want us gone but we need to hang in there "like a tick in a dogs ear" or "a hair in a biscuit." We don't need to go anywhere but we can't at this point vote for Romney because of what they did in Tampa. Remember the Maine delegates and fight for them just like they fought for us.

If you vote for Romney, you just as well get ready for a bigger farce next time but the only difference there will be is you will have only yourself to blame. Don't blame them when you are the one Ringing the Bell .

We need to get more people into the leadership positions in the Republican Party and when they tell us that we are not welcome there we need to laugh and let them know we are not going anywhere. We are in this for the long haul so tighten down your flaps and get ready for some rough weather because us Paul Republicans are here to stay and if anyone is going anywhere it is going to be them not us.

I didnt mean to sound nasty

I just wanted to say how limited the criticism of the easiest target, Obama, is now here.

An Amazing Argument!

That I would have overlooked. You are exactly correct. "it's OK to cheat us, we will vote for you anyway."

I voted Ron Paul two days ago but your comments may be important to all those who have not yet voted.

On foreign policy alone, I

On foreign policy alone, I don't think anyone can vote for Obama or Romney.

Think about it. If you vote for Romney because you selfishly want to keep medicare or want a tax cut, you're also kind of saying, "I don't care about the thousands of innocents he is going to kill. As long as I get what I WANT". That is a very dangerous way of thinking.

Same with Obama. He may be better on issues like gay marriage, but by voting him you are basically saying that as long as he does certain things, it is OK if people die because of the drone strikes/kill lists/secret assassinations.

Exactly, very well written!!!

Many GOP

knew Ron Paul wouldn't endorse the GOP Candidate. That makes a big difference to people. Doesn't make what they did right.

Voting Romney is better than letting Obama win.

You're absolutely right.

The majority of the people that voted for Ron Paul in the primary will vote for Mitt Romney. There are really only two states that Mitt Romney might lose because of bitter and/or purist Ron Paul supporters and that's New Hampshire and Iowa.

Ventura 2012

If you don't live in a swing state, it really doesn't matter who

you vote for. The campaigns totally ignore the other states because they already know how they will turn out. If you don't live in a swing state, you might as well vote for a third party. No harm comes to anyone and it will maybe help get other parties in the debates in the future.

Since really all men/ women are fallen creatures then we don't

need to vote for the lesser of two evils , but we actually CAN vote for the LEAST OFSIX OR MORE EVILS.

With all due respect, I will no longer be a voting prostitute for Constitution rejecting harlots.

Constitution rejecting harlots anymore."

Agreed, except, I will

Agreed, except, I will forgive, right after I vote for Gary Johnson, and I will forget, right after we elect Rand Paul, or Justin Amash!

I thought it's cause we don't have arms.

Otherwise it's entirely possible.

There is nothing strange about having a bar of soap in your right pocket, it's just what's happening.

If my need to be RIGHT is greater than my desire for TRUTH, then I will not recognize it when it arrives ~ Libertybelle

Nope, it's not impossible.

I donate to, campaigned for, and voted Ron Paul in the Republican primary. I personally know individuals who did the same and we're voting for Mitt Romney.

8 months as a member!

You have the right to vote for whomever you want. I find you suspect that you would come out like this in support of Mitt Romney knowing full well all that has transpired. Where were you last election. Are you just a plant by the GOP. You see with your track record and history I don't buy into the I supported and voted for Ron Paul. Anyone can say that and not have to prove it. To me the proof is the fact that you would jump ship for the traitor Mitt Romney and cast your vote for him after all he has done with his campaign. I get that Obama is a bad president. What I don't get is how anyone that supported Ron Paul could prostitute themselves and vote for Mitt. To me that is contrary to what Ron Paul stands for. If Ron supported Mitt then maybe that would be different but he hasn't and I question your integrity. Let this be a lesson to all that have been members for a short period of time. If you vote for Mitt then there will be questions on your integrity. At least Ron Paul has integrity and that is the most important characteristic of the man. I would rather under vote for President then support Mitt. If we can elect a majority of Republicans to the Senate and the Congress we would actually cancel any agenda that Obama could muster. To me that is the best way out of this sticky situation.

So you guys are willing to

So you guys are willing to vote for a liberal then? As long as its a GOP sanctioned liberal?

From a classically liberal political perspective,

about 90% of the presidents we've had since Theodore Roosevelt have been modernly liberal or Progressive liberal. If I only voted for classical liberal candidates, I would do like a lot of people here on the DP do and hardly ever vote or encourage anybody else to vote. As a result, the same cycle would continue another hundred years or however long it takes for Progressive liberals and modern liberals to run this country into the ground and effectively rewrite the Constitution from the Supreme Court. That may happen anyway, but, when it comes to the office of the president, I'm going to vote for the candidate who will at least postpone the seeming inevitable.

So you've basically bought

So you've basically bought into the idea that we only have two options: evil vs slightly less evil.

And for some reason you want to continue this cycle as long as possible, instead of allowing for a correction?

I'm a realist, not a dreamer.

In REALITY, the United States has always been, is and always will be a TWO-PARTY nation. You want to allow for a correction? The only way to do it is to influence and/or become one of the two major parties. Until then, hopefully within the next two decades, I'll take the lesser of two evils every time.

Every face on Mt. Rushmore

Every face on Mt. Rushmore was once a third party candidate.

But, NONE of them won as third party candidates.

George Washington wasn't a part of any party. But, had he not been the first, he would have had to run under the banner of one of two major parties. Thomas Jefferson was never a third party candidate. The Democratic-Republicans and the Federalists were the first duopoly. When Abe Lincoln was elected in 1860, the Republican Party had already effectively supplanted the Whigs as the second major party in the two-party system. Even Theodore Roosevelt with his populist fame wasn't able to overcome the two-party system and really only split the Republican vote, giving us one of the worst presidents in U.S. history - Wilson.

He IS a liberal

Why would that be surprising.

That's my point. Its

That's my point. Its mindblowing that so-called RP supporters can vote for said liberal.

People will say anything on the internet.

I believe about 1% of it.
