Abortion: Was Richard Mourdock out of line?

Abortion is a difficult issue ideologically and philosophically for many libertarian leaning folks, however, if one believes that life begins at conception, can we philosophically distinguish between a child conceived by rape or otherwise?

I don't get it.

For me, although one is obviously local, they are both foreign policy if we're talking about what people other than ourselves do.

I'm all for respecting a pro-life person's right to keep their baby but even if they killed their baby i'm not going to get involved. If they try come and harm my babies then that's a different matter.

How about we stay out of other people's lives just like we stay out of other people's countries?

Can we agree to disagree?

Perhaps your libertarian self might be more comfortable not making moral or medical decisions for anyone but yourself? And if not, how about we just find something else to agree on?
