What if we were to get non-voters to vote?

Think about it. The majority of register voters do not vote. So what if we can convince them that instead of wasting their vote by not voting, might was well go and vote for a third party.

The exceptions are those who refuse to participate anymore. I can respect their decision. Most however, aren't voting because they have pretty much given up on being heard.

So why not make a party of it? Order some Pizza and beer and perhaps watch a game afterwards (if there's one on, I'm not a huge fan of sports, but I know a lot are). Hang out, enjoy yourselves, knowing full well that you showed the two dominant parties that you are willing to NOT vote for them.

Maybe it's not such a good idea, but I've always had a feeling that maybe, if we can get the majority of register voters who don't vote to vote, perhaps we can actually make a difference in the polls.

This is the question that every campaign asks themselves. Unfortunately, it is extremely hard to get nonvoters to vote. Obama was successful at this in 2008, which is a major reason why he won.

I'm glad you posted this, I was thinking this earlier today

and wonder what would happen if the RP networks across the nation united the grass roots to do this. Thanks!
