I am retiring from the Daily Paul (for now)

I think that as of late I have become more and more disenchanted with the liberty movement. I see regular posters on here basically insult vast swaths of viewers by insulting the path of their choice. My choice is not to vote. Now, I am magically a Romney supporter.

We used to hear in the beginning that the Gary Johnson people were being persecuted, but now, I think it is the opposite. The LP guys are also very demeaning and insulting if you do not follow their chosen golden blueprint.

It saddens me also that there is so much disinfo/cointelpro going on here it is disgusting. Tom Woods has also called out various cointelpro like monetary theories/theorists who have diluted the End the Fed movement.

So, where am I going from here. I am going to live in reality and spread the message. I realize what I have in my hands is something of value. We are having a 'special election meeting' at our Church, this is the first time ever since it was established in 1860. I will make sure that someone with an understanding of liberty is there to help Christians realize agoristic approaches to solve the fight against Obamacare (which is making us pay for abortifations).

My contributions and what I write are also becoming less and less relevant. I doubt anyone wants to hear views from my Christian perspective. The last real post I had with feeling was when I defended Granger who I admire as she has more fortitude than I do.

I am also sure there are many on here who are glad about this as well. I will sink back into the background. Take care.

We will be back in 2016, and not for Johnson either.

You and I have tussled a few times with the theism/atheism debate.

Although I vehemently disagree with your beliefs, I respect you for fighting your fight.

Until next time,

I know how you feel!

I'm with you my friend! I hope you enjoy some well needed rest! A Christian perspective is much needed in these days...not the preachy type, but just the good old plain truth. It really puts in to perspective the current events of today!! So...it should come as no surprise as to what is happening in the world...for those that know something about the Bible and God's ways. Take care and be blessed! Still hope to see you around here now and then :)

Fear knocked on my door and Faith answered!

Money talks. Its quite

Money talks. Its quite entertaining to witness the head Gary Johnson campaigner being worshiped by fellow campaigners. I don't know who they think they are fooling.

My current theory is that Ron Paul is paying Gary Johnson campaigners to harass Ron Paul fans so they will hate Gary Johnson and write in Ron Paul. Its working very well.

If it were anyone but Ron Paul, I could believe that! Good one, FL!

We'll miss you :(

The pro-GJ posts should be gone after he loses on election day. I hope you'll come back then.

DP = Hotel California

I've found out you can check out anytime you'd like, but you can never REALLY leave. It's kind of like having a "home" base that (Nystrom willing) you can count on.

Leave the DP, but once you've taken that Liberty Pill...there's no turning back. Best wishes, Patriot!

I wish you would not retire.

I think you add a tremendous amount of value to the DP community with your perspective. I certainly look forward to reading your posts and your responses.

Please do not get discouraged by LPers. The LP is a complete contradiction and utterly hypocritical. They are "pro-freedom" but if you disagree with them, you become an enemy traitor. They require total hegemony, not unlike any other political party.

The fact is that the LP is less than 1% of registered voters nationwide and they obtain barely more than 1% of any national vote.

In other words, they do not exist. They merit nothing more than to be completely ignored. Don't be discouraged by them.

Personally, I think DP needs your unique perspective. Please don't leave. (Maybe just reprioritize your time a little bit.)

Good luck getting your career in gear

Don't be a stranger.

With liberty and justice for all...who can afford it.

We're on the same team....

Libertarians are only offering an established platform to help fight for liberty. A vote for GJ doesn't have to be a vote for him rather a message to wake-up the GOP with an official count of how many Ron Paul supporters they lost this election and possible future elections if they don't change. Nothing changes without competition.

I can assure you if the GOP became 80% of what Libertarians are, the majority of Libertarians would support the GOP over the Democrats.

Personally, if C4L took over the LP and made it their own, I would support it.

Don't be so liberty-minded you have to have everything exactly the way you want it that you refuse to consider another option toward the direction you want to go.

With 5%, the Libertarian Party can have the next Ron Paul ready for 2016. If Romney wins, it will be 2020 before another Ron Paul opportunity comes about. At least make it a viable option by helping get to 5% to establish ballots in every state and inclusion for presidential debates. Without it, RP Republicans will have a lot of work cut out for themselves.

If Obama wins, Libertarians are ready to support the next Ron Paul Republican in 2016, no problem. I wouldn't vote for GJ if Ron Paul was the Republican nominee.

We're not coming in at the last minute to scoop up votes for "our guy". We've been with Ron Paul from the day he announced he would run. If GJ stepped aside and RP took the LP nomination, the only feet stompin' I would do is toward the polls to vote for him.

Anything can happen, maybe the GOP will see the error of their ways without any competition or a message of lost support. More likely, they'll blame their errors on Democrats and change nothing.

Do what you have to do, but I think you're wasting an opportunity not a vote.

Politics can be passionate and emotional, C4L should know that more than anyone. Libertarians don't like being mocked and ignored by people they agree with on most issues either.

I am moved by many posts here

This decision was not easy. This is not a 'suicide note'. If I am going to do something, I want to give it my 100% best. I cannot at this moment give the Daily Paul my 100% best in terms of writing. I, also, realize that the Daily Paul is transitioning into a period that will need less and less of my analysis and more and more of my feedback. This is okay to me. Times change. We need to adjust to it. I am humble enough to realize when to change seats. I like busting out my opinions/analysis on things, and I have had some success here. This is evident by the show of support I am getting, but I feel like that can no longer be the case for me. My analysis is straight forward, and I have made my case for this rocky interim period.

I am also in the process of becoming something I knew I was called to be. Not everyone on here can understand this, but know that this Mission is the most important mission to me. This Mission is also our mission in liberty. Peace in our time. I am working for this with my hardest efforts.

Also, many people on here I used to follow are no longer around or posting as much anymore. This saddens me, but I will not give up on the Daily Paul. Like I said, 2016 will be the phoenix rising from the ashes. I did my time this election. I founded a YAL chapter with a friend, which now has its successors so I am super happy about that. I blogged and commented on here. I held some liberty people accountable, to the point where they responded to me! All of this because of Michael and the crew at the DP... Amazing.

I also have higher things to worry about and study. Ron Paul, Lew Rockwell, Tom Woods, Michael Nystrom and so many others have helped me see the path to take much more clearly than before. I want to thank them. It is also weird that Michael considers me a friend! What a great thing to have.

May the LORD bless you and keep you
May the LORD make His face shed light upon you and be gracious unto you
May the LORD lift up His face unto you and give you peace

BurningS, may you be abundantly blessed in whatever

projects you are about to be immersed in! I do believe that as long as your mind/body/soul are guided & nurtured with love for excellence & virtue, you will be connected with the deep currents of the RonPaul r3VOLution.

Good luck and looking forward to seeing you at our next battle grounds. . . well rested, wiser & stronger :-)

Burning S;;;You Know What I Think

...of you from a post several weeks ago. Hope you do stick around as yours is a sincere voice of reason.

As for me, I have retired and wish everyone well. Prayers for all who defend liberty.

That's the logical thing to do...

get together with your group of friends that beleive in talking snakes and that the world is flat to try and figure things out. As the ole saying goes "you pray for me, and I'll THINK for you!"

wow you should write wedding speeches

that is a great send off to a solid member here

you know liberty does mean being able to believe as you choose right or did that get lost in your thinking for others statement somehow?

My comments were unnecessary.

Sometimes I just type what I'm thinking without thinkin first. My Apologies.

I wonder if that is why you chose the screen name?

You might go fast in all you do and dig the apologies because many just rant and run.

I am giving you props for that indeed.

To: BurningsiriusΩ™

Thank you for defending my position on Romney and the GOP even though you are not voting Romney.

Of course, I am not glad about your early retirement just before the election, which Romney will be appointed president and Ron Paul RepubliCANs can work to restore the republic, and begin with lists of unconstitutional promises Romney made during his campain and debates, not just what happened at the RNC. Keep Ryan and promore Rand.. we 've got work to do.. ((((((((BurningsiriusΩ™ ))))))))

May God Bless you constandly and abundantly

I'm with you on the GOP....

... but not on Romney.

But that's my PERSONAL opinion. I'm not trying to convince you (or anyone else) either way. I'm writing in Ron Paul and my vote will not be counted in my state. And that's fine with me.

Romney is not a choice

So I need to look at Romney as a choice and deal with it in a positive and constructive manner keeping the goal, restoring the republic at the front and bottom line.

Thanks for the posts.

Good luck I have enjoyed reading your viewpoints and you have made a few good ones here.

Lord Acton, Lord Chief Justice of England, 1875 - "The issue which has swept down the centuries and which will have to be fought sooner or later is the People v. The Banks."

This Election

Is out of our hands now... But The Gary Johnson mania will die down after the election, where he probably won't get 5%.

vote Locally, and Educate people.

"Truth is Treason in an Empire that lies" - Ron Paul

Educate the masses, and win in the end.

One minor edit.

Probably wont get 2%.

He would be lucky to get over 1%. I haven't seen any Libertarian Candidates get over 1.2% in Presidential Elections

"Truth is Treason in an Empire that lies" - Ron Paul

Educate the masses, and win in the end.

Protest votes

It seems to me that the sum of protest votes (those for Ron Paul, Gary Johnson, or other non Obamneys) will be significant next month. Unfortunately, it will not defeat the 2 party system. But perhaps it will serve to wake a few more patriots.

The battle for liberty is not over yet.

not a Romney supporter but it

not a Romney supporter but it would be nice for the elitist scums of the earth to see your tally, even only your one tally show up for Johnson, or as a Ron Paul write in. Please don't waste your chance to give the middle finger to anti Liberty douchebags.. Let those jerks know that they don't own you. Not voting is what they are counting on.

Proverbs 11:30 KJV

The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.

I've done what I could[ http://www.dailypaul.com/257529/us-army-characterizes-people... ], or, felt INDIVIDUALLY compelled to do for the "movement" while it's FOCUS was on the ONLY true Christian Statesman with his hat in the ring since 2007 - he is no longer in the race; and, the political malaise is still as nauseating as ever.

Politics: Poly - meaning many; and tics - meaning blood sucking creatures

I need to put together/finalize my presentation, present our founders adherence to the General Principles of Christianity(because they studied it out, understood world history, church history, and lived it as best they could in this wicked and perverse world in their day too) and win souls to Christ at the same time make Christians who are inactive feel uncomfortable.

Christians are to be the SALT of the earth; salt preserves - Ron Paul, Christian ethics, Statesmanship, instructing us to "add virtue and excellence" in our public and private life; but salt also IRRITATES, and that is what I have seemed to be doing as of late here on the Daily Paul too.

If we are part of Christ's TRUE church(not the outward professing church VOID of the Holy Spirit of God; NOT born-again by His Spirit); then we have a different mission during our pilgrimmage here...and I need to get on with that.

Matthew 28:19 "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit"

^^Kat's "Obnoxious Christian" Recipe

5 Cans of Tight Ass
3 Cups of Arrogance
2 Cups of mommy issues
1 Pair of Bass Shoes
3 Heaping TBSP. of denial

Mix everything together and add a pair of khaki pants. Hold all humor and herbs, especially marijuana and bake until stiff

you're worth taking to task for ALL the DP to see...

...go ahead, take your best shot, and explain what you KNOW about Christianity to everyone here...I'll play...

Really? How supportive

He is a Theology student and at what point did you think that this would help?. Just put it in layman's terms and tell him he will be missed as the great orator he is. Why is it we tend to make life more complicated than it really is. I have yet to figure out the complications that arise and are not needed. Explain please?

If I disappear from a discussion please forgive me. My 24-7 business requires me to split mid-sentence to serve them. I am not ducking out, I will be back later to catch up.

Are you sure you don't want to vote for a random third party just to add to the numbers? Many do not vote, but they have been ignored. By voting a third party, you actually add to the number that say that we care enough to not vote for the two dominant parties.

I still respect people's choices if they're moral and informed ones. I'm assuming that's why you are not voting so there's no real complaint from me.
