Cannibal' Cop Plotted to Eat 100 Women: Feds

A New York City police officer who allegedly planned to kidnap, cook and eat as many 100 women has been arrested following a joint NYPD and FBI investigation.

Gilberto Valle III, of Forest Hills, Queens, was charged with one count of conspiracy to commit kidnapping, according to a federal criminal complaint, as well was using the National Crime Information Center database to access unauthorized data.

What?!

What?!

When we try to pick out anything by itself, we find it hitched to everything else in the Universe.

I consider myself to be fairly open-minded...

but I *really* never understood the whole human cannibalism thing, outside of last resort survival (and even then...). Is there some sort of power or sexual component to it? I really don't 'get' it.

Like DeMolay pointed out; who else is using these databases, and to what ends? I always just sorta figured LEOs did that sort of thing anyhow, but what concerns me is that more and more cops seem to be either 1) mixing their work and personal matters (which can't be helped, to an extent), and/or 2) emotionally unstable 19-20 year old rookies who're pissed off at nobody in particular.

But eh, par for the course, right?

A signature used to be here!

WTF? Something is not right here.

The 'mainstream' media reported on a story about cannibalism, but did not blame it on LSD or bath salts?

Unbelievable.

Warning to everyone out there....

if you still have a "Eat Me" bumper sticker on your car, you may want to consider removing it.

The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe. If you try it, you will be lonely often, and sometimes frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself.

Why didn't the guy do his

Why didn't the guy do his crime on his own? Maybe he was just one of those weirdos who role play fantasies on online forums? It just seems like if he was really into carrying it out he would have done so on his own. On the other hand if he actually had amassed information on potential victims that is pretty good evidence he planned to act.

Thank you,I find this very interesting for legal reasons.

I heard this earlier today and was thinking this could be a blessing in disguise as to the "Expert witness" credibility of every officer of the law. Now it could be argued that "He only wanted to pull me over to eat me". I hope more of this dishonesty of law enforcement is exposed for the true "Real" agenda that it is. It must come to light at some point that they are not all to be considered as expert witnesses because they are not all honest and infallible. This may very well set a precedence towards credibility.

If I disappear from a discussion please forgive me. My 24-7 business requires me to split mid-sentence to serve them. I am not ducking out, I will be back later to catch up.

The fact he used data bases compiled by law enforcers is.....

......of great concern. What else are they being used for? More importantly, who exactly is using these data bases for their own purposes?

I really appreciate your take about "expert witnesses". Thanks for posting.

Fact.

Now we have to be concerned about those that actually have access to the database. Have they been cleared through a phyc eval? Where did they come from and did they have problems at their last employment? I have met a few that never should have been allowed into the law enforcement profession let alone on the street as an individual.
