A Realistic Look at this Election: Status Quo Wins and What to Do
I will keep this short and simple as there isn't much to argue with.
We all know that a third party candidate will not win in 2012, or more important, a candidate who understands and supports the message of liberty will not be president.
One of two people will win. The Democratic Tyrants or the Republican Tyrants. The only difference is that there is not a serious faction of people in the Democratic Party who understand or support liberty, nor do I know of any particular individual who can do so with a high probability of success in spreading the message and growing the cause. The Democratic Party does not purport to actually stand for freedom, property rights, voluntary interaction, and so on.
If I am wrong ... please correct me. Your input is welcome as it helps further this discussion.
So speaking particularly of this election, our choices are narrowed down to :
Status Quo with a chance to run a serious Liberty candidate in 8 years
Status Quo with a chance to run a serious Liberty candidate in 4 years
It would seem to me that if we are going to get status quo, knowing that both candidates are identical, opting for a chance sooner rather than later makes more sense.
This excludes all the hysteria about this being the most important election of all history and all that nonsense. If that is nonsense from the left and right, it is nonsense coming from anywhere else as well.
What do you think?
