Last Day To Help Gary Johnson Beat Romney/Obama in Local Online Poll...Disclaimer: I'll Be Writing In Dr. Paul Tomorrow

Update: Johnson was once winning and had 53%, he's now down to 31% and losing to Romney who has 36%...

http://www.saukvalley.com/ (Poll is in bottom right hand corner)

The first "letter to the editor" I ever wrote to my local newspaper was earlier this year, voicing my concern with a poll they had at the time excluding Dr. Paul from a presidential poll (he was still in the race at the time)...Since then, I've written a few pro-liberty "letters to the editor" and joined in the conversations on their message boards...This is the first time I have ever seen Gary Johnson's name from my local newspaper, and even better, they actually include him (and Jill Stein) in a presidential poll...Only 2 days left to vote.

Poll results will be seen by approximately 60,000 people in the local paper tomorrow morning.

If you already voted, feel free to vote again!!

My mail in ballot has

Ron Paul and Andrew Napolitano as write ins for California.

Good deal..

I'll be writing in Dr. Paul in the morning and my son will be writing in Dr. Paul at school in the morning in their "mock" election...Doesn't mean you can't vote in an online poll for Gov. Johnson though to make sure Romney Loses :-)

If you've already voted once (or even twice) over the last week, feel free to vote again!!

For the last 3 days there's been a handful of fanatic Romney supporters in my area voting like 20 times a day in this poll to ensure Romney wins...PLEASE do not let him win!!

Not a very reliable poll if

Not a very reliable poll if you can vote more than once.

Blessings )o(

If you'd like to go explain that to the Romney supporters

then go right ahead. It's not a very reliable poll if THEY vote more than once either, and they do, so I fail to see the reasoning for NOT voting again. I'm not too concerned with the reliability at this point, just a ROMNEY LOSS. If you don't want to help, that's cool. Thanks for telling me something I already knew though.

AS of 1,234

AS of 1,234 participants
Candidate | Percentage | Votes
Obama 21% (253–265)
Romney 29% (352–364)
Johnson 46% (562–573)
Stein 2% (19–30)
Will Not Be Voting 3% (31–43)

Now with 2,294 participants
Candidate | Percentage | Votes | New Votes | % of new votes
Obama 27% (608–630) [343–377] 32.4%–35.6%
Romney 35% (792–814) [428–462] 40.4%–43.6%
Johnson 33% (746–768) [173–206] 16.3%–19.4%
Stein 2% (35-57) [5-38] 0.5%–3.6%
Will Not Be Voting 3% (58–80) [15–49] 1.4%–4.6%

According to this poll, there will be a 97% turnout? Doubtful.

But this does look like Johnson will outperform expectations, and Romney will win Illinois.

Somehow, I doubt all of that.

And I'm sure anyone not supporting Johnson will just think Johnson people are spamming the poll. (note, you can't vote more than once in a session from the same IP address. I don't know if you only get one vote per IP though)

Oh well, still a good showing. At least we might get someone to think a little bit.

Johnson down from 53% to

41% :-(...and Romney climbing :-O...Anyone up for round 2? If you've already voted, feel free to vote again....I know of at least a handful of people in my area who are sitting at home voting in this poll like 20 different times a day for Romney, so don't feel bad for voting more than once :-)

Still at 41%

for GJ

Just voted but I have a feeling

the poll numbers will not be presented in the newspaper the way they actually end.

Here is at least some proof:
Obama (Democratic) 19%

Romney (Republican) 25%

Johnson (Libertarian) 51%

Stein (Green) 2%

I don't plan to vote 3%

Who wants to bet that Johnson is not mentioned in the newspaper and they only compare O'bigmouth and Mittens?

Finally pissed off enough to spread the word of Dr. Paul

Whether I made a mistake or not by passing this on to my family and friends in this area in Illinois, they are now watching this poll. That can't be all bad.

Many of my family are from this area. I posted this on facebook. I'm afraid I've skewed the poll with some of my family voting for Obama or Romney. Gary Johnson is down to 49%. I'm so sorry.

So it looks like GJ will win in a landslide next week, as expected.

I was hoping that would

I was hoping that would happen when I reported what I did. We know what to do.

If ignorance is bliss, Washington DC must be heaven.

I know this polls numbers are skewed as we are involved,

But it sure is good to see Johnson at 46%. =)

Up to 50% now

Good to see Paulites working together again.

=) indeed...

These local reader polls typically have around 700-800 votes after a 7 day period...This poll's been up for only a day and it has almost 600 votes..If nothing else, this should send a clear message to this media company that including liberty in their news (polls) certainly boosts their online traffic, and probably even boost print sales (more money for them I would imagine, one way or another)

This company is "Shaw Media"...After a little investigating, I found that one of the Shaw family members (that is still with the company), in the 80's, donated thousands of dollars to Ronald Reagan, and even Ron Paul...

Thanks to everyone who has voted, and as I said in a previous comment...If nothing else, the fact this editorial board just endorsed Romney last week(with plenty of backlash), but now they actually include Gov. Johnson (and Dr. Stein) in this poll proves that people are listening, and thank you for helping.
