I know it’s a large amount to commit to donate, but I just want to see what the poll results would be if 23,000+ would commit to donating $1000+.

Edit on 1/15: I’m bringing this thread back from the dead with the upcoming MLK moneybomb on the horizon with the possibility of some people willing to consider maxing out. This is basically it. It’s ALL IN time! The max each person can donate for the PRIMARY elections is $2300 total.
1000 x $1000 every hour for $1 Million an hour would be amazing. Or at least get $1 Million in the first hour (12:00 -1:00 AM ET) would be nice to see. A Million Dollar jump in the first hour might get some people to push all in.

A basic problem
When you bump up the requested donation by a factor of 10 the number of people actually willing to part with the money goes down by more than a factor of 10. Remember that last August there was a pledge to donate $1000 dollars if 10,000 other people would. As I recall less than 500 people signed the pledge.
I am already maxed out. If you can afford to give $1000 or more, just do it.

Daily Paul needs to KEEP THIS ON THE FRONT PAGE EVERYDAY to countdown the 23,000 donors.
With over 100,000 people in meetup groups there are at least 23,000 people that will be able to give $1,000.

Most people may not be able to afford this level of contribution, but for those who can, please remember that each member of your household may contribute 2300, as long as they do so willingly and with their own money.
For a married couple, for example, you can contribue 2300x2 = 4600.
My opinion: Why wait for the next "money bomb"? Dr. Paul needs every penny we can muster ASAP.

I'll donate the full amount of any government rebate too. What a joke of a stimulus package....extended unemployment and food stamps....yepper, makes people jump up and get to work.
I called my senator and offered up a much better plan, 2 as a matter of fact....
1 - immediately halt to all taxes on overtime, over 40/hr/wk, for rest of the year and
2 - loan the 150 billion to "we the people" and let us raise up an electric high speed mass transportation system across america....we'll pay them back in 5 years with the money made from selling tokens and after that "we the people" split all profits just like they do oil profits in Alaska.....
Airports are overcrowded....we need high speed electric trains....which will create a need for new power plants, coal and nuclear....depending where you live.

But I don't think I count since I was planning on donating $1,000.00 regardless. Even if I was 100% convinced Paul could not win, I would still do it because I'm thinking more in the terms of long term investment. I don't expect the 4600 from my wife and I to be a get rich quick scheme or a "flip" for a quick buck. For us it's about our kids having a country.

All of you talking about the media blackout should be all over this. To make this happen (and it IS POSSIBLE) would be forcing the media to speak of it. There is NO WAY they could ignore it. Even if it turns out to be half the amount. Use the letter below, If you don't like the letter write another one. But don't whine and say nobody tried hard enough when we lose. I did, it's just that no one else felt like it. We can't possibly be so lazy as to find it too much work to forward a letter to a meetup group most of us are already a member of... or can we?

First and foremost, I am asking you for your assistance in making this a reality. You will have only one simple task to do. You must forward this letter to ONE other meetup group. Preferably one somewhere else in the US., however, any group other than the ones you received it from will do. This isn't asking much from anyone who is sitting in front of a computer right now. Just a couple clicks.
This is an absolutely achievable idea. Our meetup members now number 1100 people away from 100,000. (98,900). I am sure out of 100,000 people, we can find 23,000 that can and will donate $1000. This would set up the Paul campaign with 23 Million dollars. This small amount of donors is absolutely achievable, we simply have to get the word out. If the word doesn't go out, we cannot make it happen. Please do not register if you have already donated the $1000. It will do no good in achieving the seperate goal of $23,000,000 to the campaign. This is scheduled to happen on the 21st. It is the same as the MLK moneybomb day.
