I Hope Ron Paul Endorses Mitt Romney: America Needs A New QuarterbackSubmitted by zooamerica on Tue, 10/30/2012 - 20:29
Gulp...no, I'm not drinking the Kool-Aid, I'm just thinking out loud.
If Obama wins, the MSM will blame Ron Paul and his supporters for their lack of support for Romney. You know it, I know it, anyone who's been paying serious attention for the last 6 years knows it.
The MSM can't wait to throw Ron Paul under Obama's bus.
One week to go and Ron Paul has a lot of power in his hands right now. If he endorsed Mitt Romney in these last remaining days, that could be and should be enough to send Obama & Co. packing.
If Ron Paul endorses Romney, and Romney wins...Ron Paul will be considered a hero in the eyes of republican America. Bodes well for Rand's future....
Will he do it? Should he do it? I think he should, for the sake of his legacy, Rand Paul's future within the republican party, and for the overall good of America. Obama must not win, period. He and his cabinet are all hardcore communists. That is the bottom line.
If Obama wins, we all know what the media will say...they hate Ron Paul so much, and they hate us too - the lines have already been written, just waiting to say, "Ron Paul and his flock's lack of support for Governor Romney seals the deal for Obama."
We all know who they will blame if Obama wins. The MSM will lay the blame at the feet of the Liberty movement, to discredit us in the eyes of the American people.
If I were Ron Paul, I'd say something like this:
"While I do not agree with Mitt Romney on many issues, his foreign policy in particular, I do agree with the fact that I think he would be a better Commander in Chief than our current president. Mitt Romney would be a better leader for America."
America has two choices in 2012: A veteran president who has performed below average for four consecutive years, can't score an economic touchdown to save his soul, and constantly relies upon his defense to bail him out...or a veteran businessman who has already proven that he has the skill set to score big economic points.
Some may find this offensive, but I have to admit it...Romney knows business. He didn't just inherit a fortune and sit on it. He grew his wealth, and didn't squander it like 50% of lottery winners do within five years, or Mike Tyson, or the endless list of athletes that made hundreds of millions and blew it all...Romney knows a thing or two about how to manage money.
He also has much more in common with Ron Paul than Obama.
If I'm not mistaken, the Paul family often stayed with the Romney family over the course of the campaign.
And before you downvote the ever living bejesus out of me, please consider the following article from February of this year.
For Romney and Paul, a strategic alliance between establishment and outsider
RENO, NEV. — "The remaining candidates in the winnowed Republican presidential field are attacking one another with abandon, each day bringing fresh headlines of accusations and outrage.
But Mitt Romney and Ron Paul haven’t laid a hand on each other.
They never do.
Despite deep differences on a range of issues, Romney and Paul became friends in 2008, the last time both ran for president. So did their wives, Ann Romney and Carol Paul. The former Massachusetts governor compliments the Texas congressman during debates, praising Paul’s religious faith during the last one, in Jacksonville, Fla. Immediately afterward, as is often the case, the Pauls and the Romneys gravitated toward one another to say hello.
The Romney-Paul alliance is more than a curious connection. It is a strategic partnership: for Paul, an opportunity to gain a seat at the table if his long-shot bid for the presidency fails; for Romney, a chance to gain support from one of the most vibrant subgroups within the Republican Party."

Obama is a very bad president. He needs to be defeated. There is no possible way Romney could be any worse. And there's something in my gut that is telling me Mitt Romney is the best man between the two we have to choose from.
I wish we had more choices, but we don't.
We already know what Obama brings to the American table. Foodstamps, debt, and more dependence upon the government.
I honestly think that Mitt Romney wants to bring real food to the American table. Jobs, wealth, money, and independence.
It's time for Obama to ride the political pine. He needs to get yanked.
Put in the, "rookie," and let's see what he can do.
We either stay on our current path, or we change direction.
There is still time to change the road we are on.
