I Hope Ron Paul Endorses Mitt Romney: America Needs A New Quarterback

Gulp...no, I'm not drinking the Kool-Aid, I'm just thinking out loud.

If Obama wins, the MSM will blame Ron Paul and his supporters for their lack of support for Romney. You know it, I know it, anyone who's been paying serious attention for the last 6 years knows it.

The MSM can't wait to throw Ron Paul under Obama's bus.

One week to go and Ron Paul has a lot of power in his hands right now. If he endorsed Mitt Romney in these last remaining days, that could be and should be enough to send Obama & Co. packing.

If Ron Paul endorses Romney, and Romney wins...Ron Paul will be considered a hero in the eyes of republican America. Bodes well for Rand's future....

Will he do it? Should he do it? I think he should, for the sake of his legacy, Rand Paul's future within the republican party, and for the overall good of America. Obama must not win, period. He and his cabinet are all hardcore communists. That is the bottom line.

If Obama wins, we all know what the media will say...they hate Ron Paul so much, and they hate us too - the lines have already been written, just waiting to say, "Ron Paul and his flock's lack of support for Governor Romney seals the deal for Obama."

We all know who they will blame if Obama wins. The MSM will lay the blame at the feet of the Liberty movement, to discredit us in the eyes of the American people.

If I were Ron Paul, I'd say something like this:

"While I do not agree with Mitt Romney on many issues, his foreign policy in particular, I do agree with the fact that I think he would be a better Commander in Chief than our current president. Mitt Romney would be a better leader for America."

America has two choices in 2012: A veteran president who has performed below average for four consecutive years, can't score an economic touchdown to save his soul, and constantly relies upon his defense to bail him out...or a veteran businessman who has already proven that he has the skill set to score big economic points.

Some may find this offensive, but I have to admit it...Romney knows business. He didn't just inherit a fortune and sit on it. He grew his wealth, and didn't squander it like 50% of lottery winners do within five years, or Mike Tyson, or the endless list of athletes that made hundreds of millions and blew it all...Romney knows a thing or two about how to manage money.

He also has much more in common with Ron Paul than Obama.

If I'm not mistaken, the Paul family often stayed with the Romney family over the course of the campaign.

And before you downvote the ever living bejesus out of me, please consider the following article from February of this year.

For Romney and Paul, a strategic alliance between establishment and outsider

RENO, NEV. — "The remaining candidates in the winnowed Republican presidential field are attacking one another with abandon, each day bringing fresh headlines of accusations and outrage.

But Mitt Romney and Ron Paul haven’t laid a hand on each other.

They never do.

Despite deep differences on a range of issues, Romney and Paul became friends in 2008, the last time both ran for president. So did their wives, Ann Romney and Carol Paul. The former Massachusetts governor compliments the Texas congressman during debates, praising Paul’s religious faith during the last one, in Jacksonville, Fla. Immediately afterward, as is often the case, the Pauls and the Romneys gravitated toward one another to say hello.

The Romney-Paul alliance is more than a curious connection. It is a strategic partnership: for Paul, an opportunity to gain a seat at the table if his long-shot bid for the presidency fails; for Romney, a chance to gain support from one of the most vibrant subgroups within the Republican Party."

----------full article linked above.

Obama is a very bad president. He needs to be defeated. There is no possible way Romney could be any worse. And there's something in my gut that is telling me Mitt Romney is the best man between the two we have to choose from.

I wish we had more choices, but we don't.

We already know what Obama brings to the American table. Foodstamps, debt, and more dependence upon the government.

I honestly think that Mitt Romney wants to bring real food to the American table. Jobs, wealth, money, and independence.

It's time for Obama to ride the political pine. He needs to get yanked.

Put in the, "rookie," and let's see what he can do.

We either stay on our current path, or we change direction.

There is still time to change the road we are on.

No. Never again to vote for any Republican

My wife and I will write in Ron Paul for President knowing that the votes will be tossed or not counted. Guess what state does things like that? Answer: M A I N E --- the state that cheated Ron Paul and Ron Paul supporters. I would rather throw my vote away here in Maine than vote for any Republican cheater. Politically, Maine sucks big time. Politically speaking: Maine needs an anemia to flush out all the diseased repblican cheaters.

I assume you've seen when he's been asked about the endorsement? He is obviously tired of being asked! The answer is no.

Sorry, logic of 1st statement prevented me from reading further

"If Obama wins, the MSM will blame Ron Paul and his supporters..."

And that's supposed to be a bad thing? Yeah for us if that does happen!!!! That would be awesome if the MSM exposes their own hypocrisy regarding legitimacy of Ron Paul and the liberty movement. It sure would make for some entertaining grassroots videos to help further the cause.

I hope this DOES happen just as you described.

If men are good, you don't need government; if men are evil or ambivalent, you don't dare have one.

"Sorry, logic of 1st statement prevented me from reading further"

We don't need a new

We don't need a new quarterback. We need a new play book.

If Obama wins, the MSM will

If Obama wins, the MSM will blame Ron Paul and his supporters for their lack of support for Romney. You know it, I know it, anyone who's been paying serious attention for the last 6 years knows it.

If Romney wins we're less relevant; its pretty obvious we're not voting for him if he wins the Republicans know they can keep fucking us over and still win elections (albiet, its a little bit harder for them to do so).

I think he should [endorse Romney], for the sake of his legacy

His legacy is as follows...
Believed strongly that liberty and non-violence were the right causes: never compromised.

Why the hell would you want him to back a warmongering asshat and tarnish his reputation!?

You Sound

Just like the dumbass neo-con OLD people I know that got us in the screwed up mess we are in by keeping their stupid heads buried in the sand and who are incapable of critical thinking. They can't hold a reasonable conversation and if you start making sense to them they change the subject or just pretend they don't hear what you are saying and can only spout BS like, "I am going to vote for whoever because they are republican." Can't downvote this stupid article enough!

Gotta take the long view.

Gotta take the long view. I'll vote for neither, but I'll root for O on Tuesday.

Both O and Rom are awful. Both will screw us, but Rom will do so while spewing rhetoric that actually sounds good to us. Two problems with that; one, it's infuriating to those of us who see through it, and two, it confuses those who don't and leads to them associating liberty rhetoric with getting screwed. That's really, really bad for our movement.

Four more years of O isn't going to be the end of the world. That's hyperbole, the tool GOP partisans use to fool the ignorant. Four more years of O spewing socialist rhetoric while screwing us will surely lead to more folks looking our way for solutions. They'll dismiss the ideas of liberty, though, if the rhetoric is associated with the guy they know is screwing them.

I must be willing to give up what I am in order to become what I will be. Albert Einstein

If Ron Paul endorses Romney

If Ron Paul endorses Romney he instantly ceases to be Ron Paul. Do you not get that?
I for one will be elated if the media places the blame of Romney's hard fought loss on us.

Sorry but you're a sheep.

In order to formulate a solution one must first diagnose the problem. You are a sheep.

1) Turn off TV.
2) Source your information. Do not believe everything you hear.
3) Leave the TV off.
4) Eliminate fluoride from your diet (aka "kool-aid"). This makes you docile, easily manipulated and very susceptible to suggestion. (Otherwise known as - stuff that sheep do.)

There's a bunch more steps... let me know when you're done with these... if you finish remember LEAVE THE TV OFF.

I can't wait to be blamed for this criminal's loss.

At least with Obama you don't have WWIII. Romney will bomb Iran first chance he gets and then China and Russia will be bombing America. Both countries already said bombing Iran is basically an act of war on them. So by extension: IRAN ALREADY IS A NUCLEAR POWER - GET IT?

Then America will bomb China and Russia... then we'll all be dead... and Romney and staff will be snug as a bug with all the resources they stole from the people in a plush underground bunker.

I'll take socialism over WWIII any day.. at least with socialism we are still alive to restore liberty.

I say the hell with the MSM.

I say the hell with the MSM. I wrote-in Ron Paul and if they blame us for Mitten's loss, I couldn't care less. When this all hits the fan, at least I'll have my dignity still.

Stupid fucking idiots

Who speak in football analogies and boxing terminology to trigger our implanted "stereotypes" can go to fucking hell. Retards. Do you think ANYONE on the Daily Paul will be activated by your moronic football analogy??? Go back to troll school you fool.

NO MORE LIES. Ron Paul 2012.

Funny but this tool got you to say the F word man... multiple times. I believe it got the desired response. Also triggered anger, resentment...perhaps a desire to start civil unrest etc...

Think about it?

We stay peaceful - we win.

You cant see the solution because you don't know what the problem is.

I've said it before and I'll say it again...

To the Mitt Romney campaign:

Give me a reason to vote for you. I would consider it a symbolic gesture if you would simply extend an olive branch to Ron Paul and ask him publicly to be your personal Constitutional advisor - you know, someone who will shackle you to that precious document, being you don't seem to know what it says. Also, ask him to be your treasury secretary. I mean, most talk show hosts and politicians alike said they liked Ron Paul's fiscal policy, but just not his foreign policy.

You cheated him at the RNC, and unless you give me a reason to vote for you, I will not go with Glenn Beck's advice:

"We know where Obama stands. We don't know where Romney stands on a lot of issues, and that's why we need him in office."

Otherwise, I hope to give Gary Johnson the 5% he's asking for.

Good luck!

Glenn actually said that? What an idiot! Is he really that stupid or was that for the sheep? Sometimes I can't tell whether Glenn is playing dumb or just actually IS dumb.

I smell Troll feces

that or you've been listening to neo-con talk radio and Fox News...

"I am Troll fighter, number one"

You didn't just drink the kool-aid....

....... you're swimming in it!!

This post is utter rubbish, you are truly gullible if you believe half the words written here.

"If Tyranny and Oppression come to this land, it will be in the guise of fighting a foreign enemy." -- James Madison

Firstly, Romney is horrible

Firstly, Romney is horrible on foreign policy, more war, more blood.. more trade war with china.. he is totally bought by the military industrial complex.

So if romney does not get elected, its a good thing.. and secondly, if they think ron paul was the reason for their loss, then finally they might pay more attention to us, and change their policy.

Write in ron Pual. .. or vote garry.. what ever works for you.. make this neocon loose big time. and teach them a lesson

Troll . . .

Romney troll.

Why did I change? What gave

Why did I change? What gave me hope in Romney? It was the first debate that did it. I just about fell off my rocker when Romney started to talk about Fast & Furious...I couldn't believe it. I started pounding the sofa with my fist.

And even before the Fast and Furious talk, for the first time in my life I actually thought Romney was being genuine. I'm so used to hearing him speak out of both sides of his mouth, but for once he was candid. The body language said it all, Romney actually seemed comfortable in his own skin.

Then came a serious discussion about foreign policy....Ron Paul's biggest problem. I asked myself and my friends why Ron Paul's foreign policy was shunned by so many. Why not give peace a chance? Because it's idealistic, not realistic when the Russians and Chinese seek to control and dominate the 21st century and beyond.

I've come to a conclusion...the West has been fighting against the East ever since World War I, and the current wars going on in the Middle East are just a continuation of the same conflict.

Eastern Communism vs. Western Capitalism....the banks are always happy to fund both sides.

I think it is quite obvious how president Obama is an eastern communist. It's also quite obvious to see how Mitt Romney represents the western capitalist.

Mitt Romney does talk out of both sides of his mouth. But which side does he really believe in? Romney minces words to please the political audience. Obama doesn't mince words. He thinks redistribution of wealth is a good thing, straight up.

There is a difference, don't let RT fool you.

Never be afraid to ask simple questions.

You do realize that these

You do realize that these 'debates' are nothing more than an expensive puppet show right? That the hands firmly plated up their back sides are from the same entity?
Seriously, spit out that blue pill and turn off the TV or troll elsewhere.

Don't let Romney fool you

He doesn't care about Fast and Furious, same as 90% of the other republicans. He is just looking for the biggest stick to bash over Obama's head.

Dude... you drank the kool-aid, you just didn't realize it.

Still think it's a game eh?

P.S. I didn't down vote this post.

ruck fomney

No chance it will happen. Also, RP will not be blamed. Msm tries very hard to ignore the movement.

PS: terrible sports analogy and also fcuk obmaa

Don't worry if Ron Paul gets

Don't worry if Ron Paul gets the credit for romney's loss. We should shout at the top of our lungs that we are the reason that romney lost and tell them the same thing is going to happen every year until they change their foreign policy, audit the fed, repeal the NDAA, and start running fair conventions.
