Gonna be funny a few days after the election to come here and see all the Ron Paul write-in

people from most states saying "THEY DIDN'T EVEN REPORT MY VOTE IN THE NEWSPAPER!"

They will say "I did what everybody said to do and wrote in Ron Paul's name - but its not even reported in the news! I can't believe I got slighted AGAIN! Why did I even bother?"

And those of us who vote for Gary Johnson (which WILL be reported) will say "I told you so. You sure made a big mark that people will notice and that says something to the world..... NOT!

WHEN DID YOU LAST READ A NEWSPAPER with write-in tallies and a listing was given of ALL the write-in-votes according to who was written in?

On very rare occassion write-ins are counted and announced for very small races like school board. In exceptional cases small elections are actually WON by write-in candidates.

But when was the last time that you saw write-is counted and announced as to whom they were for in a Presidential election?

And why is that? Because people write in Pat Paulson, Donald Duck, The Tooth Fairy - people write all sorts of crazy things. And to actually announce "We had 30 votes for Mickey Mouse." would only encourage such foolish write-ins in the future.

So they MIGHT announce "We had x number of write-ins", but they will never tell us who they were for.

So why does anybody think that Ron Paul write-ins will be counted and announced?

It has never happened before and its not going to happen now.

Maybe because the press and government have been so fair with us in the past? (OF COURSE I'm kidding.)

Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution, inevitable.

The voting machines...

will flip GJ votes to Romney and GJ will get 4.9%. Just short of what is needed for ballot access and matching funds in 2016. And the GJ crowd will have been successful in their goal of destroying the RP takeover of the Republican party.

Roger Stone was brought in to back Gary Johnson to destroy the RP insurgency in the Republican Party which was approaching critical mass for a takeover...

That's proably what we have with someone like jetguy

This thread is an obvious bait.

I Agree...Totally

...and the worst thing that could happen to the RP message would be a well funded GJ four years of campaigning. Jmo.

ron paul write in

i can't wait till the republican party blames me for romneys loss in pa. they should not of cheated and broke there own rules and prove they didn't want us it's going to be priceless

My write in.

I like using Mail-In ballots because at least there is a paper trail.

Mail in's and absentee and

Mail in's and absentee and provisional ballot's is one of the biggest ways they cheat at the local level. Corrupt officials toss those votes to elect their criminal buddies.

They cheat in more ways than we can probably count

you may be right.

That is why it is important for everyone to try and be an election judge and work towards being someone who manages and tests the machines or handles provisional and mail-in ballots.

I don't give a crap if it is reported

I really don't care if it is reported or not. I will know how I voted and that is what is important to me. I have to live with myself after election day. The only thing that I can do, and not regret later, is write in Ron Paul.

These Anti-Paul Johnsonite infiltrators really are desperate.

If you honestly believe that they won't count write-ins for Ron Paul but WILL count votes for Tim Johnson, you really are an idiot.

I can't wait until all the anti-liberty, anti-Paul people are gone from this website. This place has been ruined.

So why is

Pro-3rd party anti-liberty and anti-Paul?

Well the real question is

'Why' do you think pro-3rd party support is anti-liberty and anti-Paul.
What political gain is there to be had, and by whom.
At this point, I see RP'ers effectively cancelling out their own impetus by fragmenting in opposite directions.

We don't know exactly why.. they may be Roger Stone

people? They may be RNC and DNC thugs?

Very interesting question! :)

And Now "They" Are Also

...some who adhered to that "not new fallen snow" ball traveling down (and I mean down) a pre-planned trajectory. Good people who know the government and both parties are corrupt and elections are rigged. People who will fall for any hope.

Here is the "good news"...this is part of the education process. The Ron Paul message...not the man...requires us all to dig deep through the smokescreens and debris in order to understand the message and those who are out to destroy it, have faith through self-education in it, commit to its truth and, then, spread the message.

That snowball message is being gradually carried by the very hot wind that seeks to melt it and send it on a new path to obliteration. It won't succeed. Why? Because some of us are asking ourselves, "What in the world is going on?" The answers are out there.

Of course nobody will count votes for Tim Johnson. They would be

foolish write-ins just like those written in for Ron Paul. Only foolish Helen4theBilofrights is going to vote for Tim Johnson.

But GARY JOHNSON - who is an actual candidate in 48 states and therefore fully eligible to be on the printed BALLOTS? His votes will certainly be counted.

Wait till after the elction and see what the difference between a silly fantasy write-in campaign and an actual recognized candidate is.

Obama and Romney's votes will be counted too. I'm not voting 4

them, either.

Being counted isn't sufficient to get my vote. However, in CA my vote will be counted (although I cast it before I knew that for sure), and it will in ME, and NH and IA and other states. People can push for a count after the fact and it may or may not happen. But a bunch of candidates will have votes counted most places, they just aren't candidates I want.

This idea that we have to like YOUR candidate who just overlaps on a few outcomes with Ron but doesn't have the principled consistency to count on every time on what outcome they will reach, is really peculiar.

Wow. You will resist all efforts to make sense won't you?

And we wonder why they call us a senseless cult.

I do make sense, and it is my vote and name calling won't get

me to change it. You might want to search your soul why you have to name call and bully and charge people with being cults to try to get them to vote for your guy, and consider whether you are really going to make recruits in that fashion.

You're right. nobody is

You're right. nobody is going to count votes for 'Tim Johnson'

RP votes would all be counted and reported...

...if he were on the ballot and GJ votes would not be if he weren't. It has nothing to do with the establishment being more or less threatened by one or the other, it's the fact that votes for anyone on the ballot all get counted and reported, and write-ins often don't.

"Alas! I believe in the virtue of birds. And it only takes a feather for me to die laughing."

You are right

Garry Johnson's vote will be reported, and Ron Paul's wont be.
Which begs the question, why are the "establishment" not worried about GJ, but scared out of their witts by Dr Paul?
Who is GJ's puppet master?

Roger Stone...

the Republican's "black bag" man. Stone's motto is, “Admit nothing, deny everything, launch counterattack.” Stone proudly calls himself "the GOP hitman".

The Republican Party brings in Roger Stone to destroy the opposition. Roger Stone brought in Gary Johnson. The opposition in this case being the RP insurgency into the Republican Party which has scared the hell out of them.

"I remember going through the cafeteria line and telling every kid that Nixon was in favor of school on Saturdays," Stone says. "It was my first political trick."

Google him...

Once You Sort Through

...the layers, I'd say Koch Brothers laughing all the way to the bank.

Question is: Does GJ know or is he a pawn? I've asked myself that question and I honestly don't know, however:

-He did agree to the advisers (paid or not) on his campaign staff.

-Governer Gray recently said "I don't know, we haven't talked about it" when asked if this is all about a run in 2016. I find that hard to believe.

I am not against GJ per se...I am against what I think is happening.

Maybe not

Doesn't add up though. If there was a need for a LP candidate to run interference in the campaign, it was soon apparent the RP campaign was effectively sidelined, and with the release of the delegate strategy, a wake-up call and bad timing, they soon moved on that and shut the door, game over.

That's when the LP embraced the RP platform, and became a realistic threat to the GOP, hence the moves to get johnson off the ballot, and out of the debates. I think they thought the RP'ers were simply going to move across en mass and continue campaigning. So why, if the LP is in someones back pocket, didn't they use it. After the voting fiasco at both the R&D conventions, the performance of Obama, and the threat of mittens, there's going to be a sizeable backlash against both parties, and most of that has to go the way of the 3rd party candidates.

The polls have a narrow margin between them, but the GOP is just too confident. There's been no real debates, mittens shuts down his MSM ads, and no trump cards played. Other than an initial token gesture, there's been no real effort to woo the RP'ers back into the GOP, and quite frankly, neither of them seem overly bent on winning an election.
I think there's going to be a change on the hill in the next few days, bought and paid for.

When you look at Johnson, he is emanently qualified from a political, business and administration standpoint, and probably would have been a better choice for the GOP to have a walk-in win against Obama, but that wasn't the plan.
I don't think it's about the money, and just on that, anyone that wouldn't use federal funding to compete with the establishment, would be simply committed to by their rules, then change the system, the very thing they don't want to happen.

I think, as long as there was no sign of collusion between the various factions of the liberty movement, the status quo were confident of the outcome, or at least, the lack of any need to blatently manipulate the outcome.

The next election cycle is what it's about, and from where we stand right now, it looks like Mittens vs Clinton, with the doors locked at the GOP and the liberty movement still in the wilderness, unfunded, marginalised and ineffective.

rb25de...I Don't Know Either

...however, I have tried to figure out what "could" be going on. I am a troll for no party. I don't care for any of them at this point. However, I do care about the direction of the movement Ron Paul started and what will happen next.

There are many things I would correct in the following, primarily where I said Gary is pro-Israel (as he "attempted" to lighten some statements) later. I have read everything he has said and see much flip-flopping. I do not believe he will reach 5% and hope he does not. However, I see plenty of reasons that, knowingly or not to Gary, it might have been thought by the Republicans that if he could snare enough Ron Paul people plus disgruntled Democrats, especially pro gay marriage, legalizing pot, etc. that there just might be enough of a margin to justify a Romney win. Meanwhile the "liberty" movement outside the Repub and the one issue folks would be in a Fringe Marginalized Eccentrically Associated political FEMA camp for four years.

To me, it would be even worse if Gary got the 90 million. I am not a very popular poster and nobody paid any attention the first time; however, I am entitled to my opinion and wrote this:

I recognize that few agree ....however those are my thoughts.

Interesting read fonta

Thanks...I Wish You Would is difficult lately to try to decide what you think and get any feedback. There used to be so many teachers on the DP and they didn't call you names when they disagreed with you. In fact, they seemed to welcome the opportunity to share and throw out ideas in order to help people get clarity in their own thinking. I miss that.

I have no agenda. I just try to think for myself and welcome any intelligent critiques...that's how I learn and grow.
