NY Times: Iran Offers to Send Emergency Aid Team to Stricken New York

TEHRAN — Iranian rescuers and aid workers are on standby to fly to New York City to provide assistance to those affected by Hurricane Sandy, the head of Iran’s Red Crescent Organization said on Wednesday.

“We are ready to help the flood-stricken people of America,” Mahmud Mozaffar, who leads the organization, told the semiofficial Fars News Agency.

His men stand ready to board planes and fly to the United States to help out, assuming the American government accepts Iran’s offer, he said.

“If American authorities agree, we can send our rescuers with equipment and tools to American cities in the shortest period of time,” Mr. Mozaffar said.

Mark C. Toner, a spokesman for the State Department, said in an email message late Wednesday, “We have seen reports in the media, but at this time have received no official offer of assistance from the Iranian government or any Iranian entity.”

Why can't we trust them?

We can't trust Iran because we are on the offense. Everything they do or promise to do is suspect simply because we are the world's bully. We can't afford to trust anyone on that front.

The only way to change it so we are able to trust is to bring all our troops home and be a strong defense.

Offense - can't afford to trust
Defense - can trust because it doesn't matter if they lie.

The United States is able to blow our world into oblivion about 500 times. Any country that would attack us would be signing their death warrant, yet with our footprints around the world someone is going to attack us through desperation.

Remember our government is not run by the president, by congress or by the justice system. It is run by the FEDs and they care nothing for human life. They are only after power and a one world order.

And so it begins!

The response will be very interesting from folks on Staten Island and others.

Good move Iran!

And Israel Offers To ...

Continue to accept 3 billion dollars annually from the American people and give back, let's see: NOTHING!

Not only Israel begintowin

during 2010-2011 we also handed out $789 million to bribe the Palestinian Authority and to improve Palestinian infrastructure. (We seem to want to fund both sides of every war, disagreement, or controversy all over the globe...and of course nation build everywhere but in our own country)

The improvements included:
• renovation of 5 hospitals and 6 clinics;
• upgraded 23 schools;
• constructed 3 schools;
• constructed or rehabilitated 26 water systems;
• provided almost 127,000 persons with access to potable water; and
• constructed or replaced over 30 linear kilometers of wastewater pipes.

Of the almost $789 million in assistance provided by the United States to the West Bank and Gaza from ESF appropriations for fiscal years 2010 and 2011, USAID has obligated about $760 million through April 2012, or 96 percent of the appropriations, and expended about $555 million, or 70 percent.

USAID - A Front for Neocon Hedgemony

go213mph, I was curious about your response regarding USAID (U.S. Agency for International Development) so I looked up some of the links you posted in other comments you offered regarding USAID (thank you for doing that).

As it turns out USAID has been the recipient of much criticism since it was created by President Kennedy.

Although the agency's public face is depicted as "helping" other countries using the American people's money, its real purpose is the furtherance of U.S. foreign policy executed through the auspices of the U.S. State Department. In essence it acts as a front for U.S. Government political manipulation of other nation states and indoctrinate them through behavioral modification to ultimately surrender their sovereignty to our self-serving agenda.

Here are some examples:

In the country of Bolivia, President Bush used USAID to front money to alter the outcome of the political landscape in that country (see: http://www.progressive.org/mag_dangl0208 )

The same modus operandi was used to subvert Venezuelan national politics (see: http://venezuelanalysis.com/analysis/2600 )

This agency is one of the strong arms of American politics that still believes in imperialism and colonialism. It will use bribery, blackmail, graft and even murder when necessary to achieve its end: world domination (see: http://www.fff.org/comment/com0309q.asp

and http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2008/mar/25/afghanistan.inte...

and http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/money/world/iraq/2003-04-17-i...

and http://www.guardian.co.uk/business/2003/mar/31/iraq.usnews ).

However, some countries such as Russia, are catching on and rejecting USAID, fully aware of their real purpose (see: http://www.cnn.com/2012/09/19/world/europe/russia-usaid-expu... ).

As long as the American people continue to ignore the federal government's machinations, we will be in danger to those foreign factions that will try to force an end to our meddling in other country's affairs by any means possible, including terrorism.

B-b-but such a humanitarian gesture from the Iranians...

...might get in the way of people hearing the war drums beating in Washington D.C.

I have no reason

To believe the Iranians want to do anything but help.It Is an act of friendship if the story is true. Our government is to prideful and corrupt just to say thanks for the offer.

LOL

TIMES 3

"In the end, more than they wanted freedom, they wanted security. They wanted a comfortable life, and they lost it all -- security, comfort, and freedom. When ... the freedom they wished for was freedom from responsibility, then Athens ceased to be free."

Took me totally by surprise

And considering how corrupt our government is, I'd rather assume that the Iranians really are doing this out of the goodness of their heart more than out of a desire to pry extra information from a devastated region.

Cool.

Too Funny

Personally, I think it would be a real olive branch to accept, if it's above the board. Boy, the replublic-rats would have major fits over that, wouldn't they!

The communist rats in office cannot let this happen

It would almost be like giving Ron Paul air time during the debates!
Now, how would that look for them!

To the people of Iran:
We, the American people are praying for peace with you and all nations.

It's our corrupt government that causes not only all the suffering abroad, but even here in our own beloved America and upon its own people!

We thank you very much for your kind offer and compassion to help.
