Final Decision

I will probably vote for Gary Johnson. But I've seen his fiscal record floating around -- you guys know which stuff I'm talking about. Now I'm not sure. What do you guys think? Might be going with Ron Paul now.

for the down votes.I bumped you up because you are actually looking and researching Gary record.I fell upon Bill Still the other candidate running against him.Bill was trying to tell the Lib.Party about him and warning but no one listened and kept shutting him out.

Bill Still confronted Gary.(Fed and big banks)

Then Bill Still was telling us how they are taking over the Lib.Party

Now really check out the company this man keeps and who he has worked for.(Roger Stone)

To me, in my opinion ,its just like how the neo conservatives taking over the tea party movement.Which in turn Chuck Baldwin try warning us back then.

Would that be the same Bill Still

who thinks Ron Paul's economic ideas are naive, the one who thinks fiat currency would be fine if it were just tightly regulated, and the one who was backed by the author of that article cited by the OP that starts out endorsing one of Bernanke's favorite bogus assumptions?

Naive like this?

"Restrict Federal Reserve policy to maintaining price stability"

Gary Johnson thinks fiat is fine, as long as it is regulated better ("reformed" as he says)

Exactly. If this movement is

Exactly. If this movement is to survive without Paul, the hardcore people here need to be proactive in making sure we don't get co-opted like the Tea Party. Just do your due diligence!

+1 BINGO!

Congress still needs 267 Ron Paul's to be elected ... not more compromised conservative constitutionalists who are still BIG GOVERNMENT and will accomplish nothing more than keeping their overall approval rating well below 20%!!!

We can use the Libertarian Party as a vehicle, we can use the Republican Party as a vehicle to GET ELECTED - but dammit, it's about TRUST; and a guy with a record of compromise, who still lies, and is simply in the opposing party is what the co-opted tea party has SETTLED FOR ...

We're not settling for anything short of a TOTAL OVERHAUL of parent government, whereby the governed(who are FORCED to "obey" the laws they break; and possess ALL the ideas, ALL the creativity, ALL the productivity, ALL the morality, ALL the reasons NOT to trust cookie-cutter politicians) are EXCITED and ENGAGED in a revolutionary fervor AGAINST the status-quo and the MSM that dulls the conditioned mind and rationalizes away their CRIMES against every citizen who WANTS to do right but can't under the current us-versus-them opportunistic, self-serving, divisive system(and ponzi-scheme) - our goal, THROW OFF the TYRANNY!

The tea party's goal - vote Republican! What a loser move!

Take EACH INDIVIDUAL, and their record, and their rhetoric, and accomplishments one at a time....beware of the spirit of party!

hmm

It must be pointed out that the author of this article Karl Denninger is a neo-con Mitt Romney supporter and the article is total BS.

Romney team is terrified of losing by a huge margin.
RR ticket coming in 3rd place in some states like New Mexico would be sweet.

Read this article

That was posted less than a month ago. He doesn't like Obamney or Johnson.

Shocking!

In defense of GJ, LL calls OP a neocon Romney supporter! lol

What are tyou talking about?

Karl Denninger is DP member Vots?
I did not attack the DP poster Vots!
I said that about Karl Denninger who wrote the article NOT the DP poster who posted it here for us.

Don't worry, no offense taken

Don't worry, no offense taken over here. I welcome any healthy discussion about this stuff. I feel too many people have latched on to Gary Johnson blindly, and think it's dangerous to do such a thing. I've made it no secret here that I think he's the best of all the candidates.

But I've noticed on the DP that you can't even criticize Gary Johnson without getting flooded with negativity. And not being able to point/counter-point on future candidates is dangerous for this movement.

I'm just encouraging the Gary Johnson supporters to remember what got us here...not to leap with faith...but look beforehand and make sure.

In the future, all it takes is an infiltrator that gets a Gary Johnson-like love fest, and backed by people determine to co-opt this movement, and down it goes.

;)

Haha

My bad, so used to you doing that on every lukewarm/cold Gj post. I apologize.

Do you have any proof that Karl supports Romney?

Oh my, looks like you were right.. Here's an article where he supports Romney seemingly wholeheartedly.

Well I didn't come on here

Well I didn't come on here going "Johnson sucks, yada yada yada". Of all the people still running, he's the best. But for people like me who were undecided between writing in Ron Paul and voting Johnson, looking at his record helped me decide.

Just making sure everything is thrown out on the table.

I didn't either.

Believe it or not I found out who he was by checking his record BECAUSE I WAS interested in him as an option. It didn't take long to change my mind but of course, I'm a Ron Paul purist and take this stuff way too seriously.

What right do I have to want someone who is actually a Libertarian in more than words.

I'm probably voting for him

I'm probably voting for him or writing in the Doc. But I always found it odd that he says he "may have" vetoed more legislation than all other governors combined.

It's like dude, either you did or you didn't, what's with the "may have" business.

He did veto a lot of bills.

He did veto a lot of bills. But he didn't veto bills to really shrink the government. Welfare, medicare, pensions, etc. all rose beyond inflation and population numbers every year he was in office.

And it should really come as no big surprise

that he vetoed a lot of bills - the legislature WAS majority Democrat, after all.
