Well, I can hardly blame

Well, I can hardly blame Obama for the jobs lost from early January 2009. From June 2009 to today, he's added around 3.6 million jobs. In that same time span, about 10 million added to food stamps, so about a 3x ratio.

Moreover, Bush added about 15 million to food stamps (from 2001 to 2008; Id argue that you can give him the first part of 2009 as well), and that was with a booming economy for most of his term.

Recall....

...that Obama was a US Senator before he became President. He voted for TARP, and contributed to the entire complex of policies that led to the crisis in the first place. His personal responsibility does not begin in January 2009. And, anyway, we all know that had he been in office as POTUS prior to '09, his policies would not have been substantially different from Bush's. His "I inherited a mess" argument amounts to sheer historical accident.

This is true, but this is not

This is true, but this is not the point that the article is making.

The article is using very selective facts to make a false case against Obama.

Obama

claims to have created 4.5 Million jobs under his Presidency.

So according to this 75x number that means that 337.5 million people have been added to the food stamp rolls. That's roughly the entire population of the US.

Even if Obama has overstated his job growth by 4x, that still means that 84 million have gone onto food stamps.

Wow.

I don't necessarily believe it.

But wow...
