Gary Kasparov Sounds Like Ron Paul

Gary Kasparov, former World Chess Champion, was interviewed by 60 Minutes on his political activity against Russian President Vladimir Putin:

He sounds like the Russian version of Ron Paul, arguing for a return to freedom and calling Russia a police state. Listen at about 6:40 where it is mentioned that a law enacted to "fight terrorism" was used in an attempt to silence Kasparov with an accusation of extremist comments against political figures. Of course, our federal government has assured us that the Patriot Act would never be used like that against ordinary U.S. citizens, so there is no need for concern.

I agree!
I saw this piece and thought the same thing when I saw it. But what strikes me as ironic is that we Americans have always sat around hoping and praying that the young in those countries like Russia, Iran, China, ect would rise up and overthrow their governments. And the irony is we have looked abroad for this to happen when in reality we ourselves are in the same boat. And then you look here and you see the young grasping and taking Ron Pauls message and supporting him full force. Doesn't that make you wonder?
