Let's help Payton

Hey friends here at the Daily Paul,

A good friend of mine has a special needs daughter that is 4 years old, and they are presently not in a financial position to purchase some needed medical equipment for her, specifically a RIfton Pace Gait Trainer ( http://www.rifton.com/products/mobility/pacergaittrainers/K5... ) and a Drive Medical Pediatric Tilt-In-Space Wheelchair ( http://www.amazon.com/Drive-Medical-Pediatric-Tilt-In-Space-... ).

We have created a ChipIn page to try and raise the amount they need to purchase these two items, and seeing as how this is the Daily Paul, and, because I know what we are capable of when it comes to supporting a cause, I would love to see people donate. It doesnt' matter if it is $1 or $100 or more or anything in between. The goal here is to get this little girl her gear.

Let's help this little girl out. The total needed is only $2500 and we have already collected $230 last time I checked.

Sure, this has nothing to do with Politics, but it does have to do do with helping people just because we can. I dropped a $50 on this earlier today, and will be donating more soon. I plan on, in the course of the next week, donating at least a total of $200 myself Let's get this little girl what she needs. Here is the link, please go donate.

Another Update:

$1085 raised so far.
Gait Trainer was found online and purchased at significant savings
Found a wheelchair online and when I inquired about it the people that own it donated it.

Next up: some orthopedic leg braces and a pink paint job for the Tilt-In-Space wheelchair.

Fuckin' Aye people are awesome...There is still time to help, we need to gather up another $1415 to hit the goal, all of which will be used for her medical equipment and care.

We are now up to $875 of the $2500 needed for this equipment. I don't see who the donors are because I didn't create the ChipIn page, but if you have donated, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

If you haven't, please do, these are my friends, and I would be happy to put you in touch with them directly if you are apprehensive.

UPDATE: We are now 1/3 of the way to out goal of $2500. We have currently collected $830 towards Paytons wheelchair and gait trainer. I don't know at this time if anyone here has donated, but if you have, I want to thank you for your generous donation.

I'm an atheist, and I am unable to enter a Church for reasons I care not to discuss. In fact, where I live, I probably couldn't even locate a Church. We have already collected $230 (including my $50 donation) as of the last time I checked. :) It will happen...
