Ron Paul 2008 Presidential Campaign Opens Four Additional Offices in Illinois

January 14, 2008 2:42 pm EST

CHICAGO ― The Ron Paul 2008 Presidential Campaign Committee last week opened four additional offices in the state of Illinois. The new field offices - in Downers Grove, Bloomington, Edwardsville and Carbondale – will serve supporters mobilizing to reach voters in advance of the February 5 primary election. Ron Paul has delegate and alternate candidates on the Republican primary ballot in every congressional district in Illinois.

“Backing for Dr. Paul is widespread in Illinois,” remarked Dr. Joe Cesarone, Ron Paul 2008 Illinois campaign coordinator. “These offices will function as regional hubs, operating to maximize the dissemination of Ron Paul’s unique, resounding message of true limited government and individual freedom.
“Momentum for this campaign began building in Illinois early in 2007,” added Cesarone. “We’ve seen exponential growth in support since that time and anticipate a strong showing February 5.”

Ron Paul’s Illinois appeal was confirmed in August 2007, when he pulled a strong third, with 19 percent, at the Illinois Republican Party presidential straw poll in Springfield. The next month, he drew 1,500 to a Chicago rally.

I'm in Northern Illinois and

I'm in Northern Illinois and I only see signs for RP. NO OBAMA! We'll see as the primary gets closer, though.

Good for them

Good news !

I'm writing to you from the

I'm writing to you from the office in Edwardsville!

The only signs you see anywhere around here are for Ron Paul and a few local Democrat judges.

Things will go fairly well here.

Great!!!!! but....

Where is the Michigan offices? Why was Ron not at Paulapaloosa in Vegas? etc, etc, etc.

And ILLINOIS???? We DO realize that this is Barak Obama's HOME state, right? I'm not sure "independent" turn out there will come our way. But, hey, we have the offices to handle the rush, right?

A 50 state "strategy" where he is spread thin, finishes no better than 4th in every one and gets no delegates is hardly a recipe for sucess.

Yup, this post is negative. If there is a "method to the madness" that is our "official" campaign I have yet to see signs of it anywhere.

save your "flags".....

flags = blindfolds

from where I'm sitting, he has a decent strategy... is it possible that you're not aware of it because it would be stupid for HQ post it on a website that is available to his opponents?

~Live life to its fullest, with an open heart, open arms and most important... an open mind~

What strategy might you divine?

IMHO, if Ron get's shellacked in Michigan (4th or worse), he is absolutely going to need first or second in Nevada to have any credible chance of winning. As much as I hate it personally, MOMENTUM is key in this rapid-fire primary season. Going into Feb.5th without a win over any significant opponent is NOT a strategy for winning.

Now, if we want to agree that it is just as important in the grand scheme of things that the "message" gets out no matter what, I am totally with you. I will be campaigning for Dr. Paul until the national convention, or until he drops out. I will continue to educate myself and everyone I can talk to about the philosophy of Liberty fro the rest of my life. Unfortunately I feel that time is very short to save this country. This election would be a great time to pull out of our tailspin.

BUT....let's not get the two concepts confused. I think the "official" campaign is stuck in that exact same position, and from results so far, it is not working for THIS election.
