Why it is strategically correct to cast a write-in vote for Ron PaulSubmitted by Dr.K.Research on Sun, 11/04/2012 - 19:43
The temptation to cast a vote in protest for Gary Johnson or other liberty candidates is understandable.. People felt a sense of abandonment with the RP campaign as well as a degree of betrayal. Not from Dr. Paul but, rather, from the system surrounding him.
In that sense of betrayal, or even defeat, people do react. It could even be the “Go to #$%@” reaction.
There is also the issue of attempting to cast a strategic vote: the so-called ABBO vote.
All of these strategies are of no consequence. That is because the winner of the Presidential election is pre-determined. It is merely a coronation. In this case the regime seemingly favors Obama, so, surely, he will be the recipient of that coronation.
After all, Romney will SAY anything the TPTB demand, but Obama has DONE everything they have ordained. Only a monstrous landslide (difficult to rig) in favor of Romney could possibly reverse the tide, and the few votes that RP'ers might cast could not make that difference. Regardless, the machines are apparently dumping Romney votes into Obama. Apparently, the die has been cast.
The Write-In vote is an entirely different strategy. It is not a means to win a specific 2012 election. Rather, it is a protest against the entire system based upon computerized, rigged elections. It is the means to take the power back into the people's hands. This is through advancing our inalienable, first amendment rights of casting a protest vote, while documenting it through our own testimony.
The goal is simple: to eliminate all election rigging by seeking the purging and destruction of electronic voting machines, the kinds which are used to systematically rig Presidential elections and much more.
Ireland put its machines into the crushers. We CAN do the same.
That write-in vote is far more powerful than many people realize. Plus, it is the initiation of a new trend: to put the power back in the peoples’ hands, so they can achieve their own destiny, so they are no longer under the control of hostile forces, which seek nothing but their harm.
Write-In votes are the beginning of that powerful wave of authority: the people’s authority versus the ‘authority’ of the autocratic few. These votes send a powerful message that in due time the existing system, the one used to cheat the people, will be eliminated. It is a message to either join the wave of the people's indignation or suffer defeat—the defeat of upholding and maintaining tyranny against the rights and norms of the people.
Let the world see our numbers, which are massive. Of all strategies, not voting, voting against Obama, voting against Romney, voting libertarian, only the write-in methodology shows the real scope of our power. Only this proves our numbers. All the other options merely dilute those numbers, allowing our detractors to divide us further and further.
ABBO is meaningless. A 3% rig, as was done in 2000 against Gore and, furthermore, in 2004 against Kerry is all that is needed to achieve the opposite of that ‘strategy.’ So, don’t waste your vote within the rigged system. Vote backed by affidavit. Join WriteInRevolution.com.
UPDATE: Whether Dr. Paul supports or does not support this is also irrelevant. The good doctor has all along said that this is our revolution and that the destiny is in our hands. Even so, he did say that this, specifically, WriteInRevolution.com, is a "worthwhile and welcomed" effort. He knows all about the cheating, and so does Mrs. Paul.
Remember, it was Dr. Paul himself who said, when he was approached by delegates on the floor at Tampa about being successfully nominated to the convention that, "They won't let you do that."
Regarding the so-called 5% of the vote, ultimately gaining a major status for the Libertarian Party, is this really a reason for voting? Can anyone confirm that the 5% would achieve the desired results, as claimed by the Johnson campaign? Each state has different laws about the percentage of votes necessary for major party status, for instance, in Colorado the vote count must exceed 10%. Can anyone confirm this strategy as real? No one voted for Ron Paul without carefully scrutinizing his positions, and again and again, his words, statements, and actions EARNED our votes. This claim by Johnson must be proven before it is used as motivation for voters.
