Could Ted Cruz be in trouble?

If you are from a battleground states you probalbly forgot what it's like to watch TV or radio without a campaign ad. Or drive around the neighborhood and try to count all the Obamney signs to see who is ahead .

But here in Texas a non-battleground state there is no election going on at all.No Yard signs, no bumper stickers nothing.

Four years ago I saw McCain and Palin bumper stickers everywhere. They're is only one political ad going on here. I know we are not a battleground state but this is ridiculous. The Republicans are supposed to win this state in a landslide yet there is hardly any excitement anywhere.

This could be especially troublesome for the carpetbagging attorney from DC who and one day showed up and nobody knew and got Ron Paul's endorsement {well Jesse Bentons}. Then joined tea party super pack.

There were a lot of raw feelings after this year's primary between the tea party and the Bush establishment cronies down here. When he beat their candidate

I also heard that Cruz got his butt handed to him by a seasoned experienced Democrat during the debate down here.

Texas has already voted two and half million votes and because the Republican enthusiasm is down so much this year. I wouldn't be surprised if the Democrat and Republicans are running 50/50.

If this is true and if more red states are running 50/50 right now like Texas then Romney is in serious serious trouble and so is Cruz.

I will give you more evidence that Romney could be losing real bad in red states. Republican Senatorial candidates are losing in 3 RED states. Arizona, Missouri and Indiana.

If I am wrong then I'm prepared to eat crow. But I still see the Republicans losing this election really bad.

I would like to hear from more of you in the non-battleground states to ask you if you have seen any evidence that any presidential campaign is going on at all thanks.

I watched a Cruz/Sadler debate

Someone said Cruz cane across as a dick--I completely agree. From what I saw and heard, he's evasive, divisive and particularly slimy. More representative of a typical politician than of any uniquely consistent ideology. That said, it's Texas, and I think the Republican win handily despite the lack of enthusiasm.

Here in Bush/Conaway/oil country, I don't recall seeing many yard signs or bumper stickers before the convention. When I got back from Tampa, I saw a smattering of them but nothing to indicate any real show of support. However, Ron Paul signs have been planted here in Midland before and since. Just goes to show that the status quo "conservative" base wasn't ready to go all in for their guy until the final selection, but lovers of liberty chomp at the bit to flaunt the message.

"The rich man writes the book of laws the poor man must defend, but the highest laws are written on the hearts of honest men."

There are Romney signs everywhere..

You're just not looking in the right spots haha. I have a part time job working at a golf course. All the houses that sit on it are million dollar homes with big fat Romney signs. Or, take a little trip to South lake TX and you'll see every home there has Romney signs.

In Texas you could nominate a turd

call it a Republican, and it would win. I voted for John Jay Myers even though i supported Cruz during the primary. He rubbed me the wrong way during the debates and acted like a dick, but he will most likely be my senator.

Cruz will win BIG.

Cruz will win BIG.

Texas has more Fox watchers

Texas has more Fox watchers per capita than any other state. I don't think Ted is in trouble, though I voted against him and his Democrat opponent.

you really arent judging an election according to bumper stickers youve seen, are you??
Texas is RED! Bumper stickers not needed.
On the local level Reds will cross party lines, and have been doing so in a few cases but for the national races most are voting straight R.

Ive been standing at a polling location for 50hrs a week for 2 weeks.
TRUST ME, the REDS have it locked up.
The Local Tea Parties have endorsed some local dems, and are the king makers.
the local rinos hate the tea party. in fact dems are defending us, for the most part!! why wouldnt they? the tea parties are cleaning up the local elections and most definitely will support a DEM if they are fiscally conservative and pay homage to our Constitution.

"OH NO! He has a SON?" Neoconservatives and Liberals EVERYWHERE!

Rand Paul 2016

no I am not

And I dont think Cruz will lose . Im just saying that I just dont see the republican enthusiasm that I saw 4 years ago and was wondering if this is also going on in any other states?

Well if the Dems win it all because of Romney/Bush... Then...

RAND PAUL 2016 will be the answer.

Great observations Lance! Thanks for the post.
