Poll: Romney 49, Obama 48
Rasmussen has Romney at 49%, Obama trailing by 1, and 2% for everybody else (Libertarian, Green, etc.)

Poll: Dead heat in battleground states
Politico/GW University poll shows 47% apiece for Romney and Obama in the battleground states. Interestingly, Romney grabs independents at 47 percent to 32 percent, a change from 2008 when Obama was strong with independents.

A failure to break 50% usually means trouble for the incumbent, but this race could go any which way.

First Results from NH: Tie
Continuing with the tie theme, the first results from the first town to vote in NH, Dixville-Notch: President Obama 5, Gov. Romney, Virgil Goode 0, Gary Johnson 0.

This is the first time that Dixville-Notch has voted a tie; is this a harbinger of things to come?

Third Parties: A Waste of Time?
Libertarian professor Randy Barnett says in the WSJ that third parties are a waste in the first-past-the-post system. Rather, libertarians should work to move the two existing parties toward liberty views.

Meanwhile, the Libertarian and Constitution parties have earned enough votes in past elections in Missouri to register candidates on par with the GOP and the Democrats. Third-party votes could reach 6% in Missouri this year.

What effect do you think third-party votes have on the election(s) this year?

Third Parties Poll 1.5%, Could Decide Election
Third parties are polling 1.5% in Ohio, and could decide the election. Caveat: Johnson is polling 0.9%. Added to Romney's 48.6%, it still doesn't match Obama's 49.8%.

Anti-Obamacare Propositions Mostly Pass
Thinkprogress whines about anti-Obamacare propositions on the ballot on Election Day: "Wyoming’s Amendment A, Florida’s Amendment 1, Alabama’s Amendment 6, and Montana’s Measure LR-122 would all prohibit state residents and employers from being forced to purchase insurance or participate in any externally-imposed health care system.

In Missouri, Proposition E seeks to prevent the state from instituting its own health insurance exchange."

Ha Ha, they noticed!

CNN
Just on the Cooper show at 3:25 AM Central time.
Big wigs from Republican party being interviewed by Cooper. When questioned about the Republican party loss, what could they do about it.

"We had a lot of Ron Paul people join us and ...........We can't cheat or ignore them........ That's where are future is."

YIPPIE they noticed!

Anyone who knows how, can you get a film of it?

Deekey

Notable

Guiliani was on last night and stated that the Republican Party has to become socially libertarian.

6,002,000 votes

Thats what Gary Johnson needed to get the 5% threshold for public funding.

Instead he got 1,139,562 votes, just 19% of what he needed.

How did we miss those other 4,860,000 voters?

Last night, when it really seemed Romney might win,

I told my neighbour:

"I'm happy Obama's losing, and I'm sad Romney's gonna win."

Then "miraculously" Obama won. So now I'm like:

"I'm happy Romney lost, and I'm sad Obama won." lol

Hey this is some funny stuff

Hey this is some funny stuff right here. RP-for-life

Freedom

not to encourage obama's sociopathological tendencies but..

im glad Mitt lost... after what he did to RP I hope the party implodes and we rise from the ashes!!!!

A true flower can not blossom without sunlight and a true man can not live without love.

I love watching these Neo-Cons predict Romney's win

And then complain when he loses. This is fun to watch. lol

It's official

California is full of mentally challenged people! Prop 30 passed! I can't afford anymore taxes in this god forsaken state! I'm either going to movie to New Hampshire, Colorado, or Washington. I love the east coast, especially Boston, Massichusetts, but I don't know if I can afford to live their either.

GOP dirty tricks

It is good to see all the GOP/RNC dirty tricks during the primaries produce NOTHING. I am not an Obummer supporter, but it is nice to know that all those shenanigans during the Caucus/Primaries did not help the Romulan.
Might be the best thing for LIBERTY to have Obummer until 2016.
Good Riddance to Romney, from a Ron Paul supporter.
Maybe this will be the slap in the face many "die hard" republicans need to see that they supported the wrong candidate.
You all should had supported The Good Doctor, Ron Paul.
Ron Paul 2016, Let's Roll.

Sean Hannity Can't Figure Out What Happened! Ha!

So he spent his three hours talking to his "intelligent" advisers that were more confused than he was!

Both Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity avoided the mention of Ron Paul effects.

They attempted to use "in depth" "conservative" reasoning of their most "intelligently ignorant" advisers, that would in no way upset the CORPORATE conservative base blurring the Constitutional Base to include privileged Cartels so that they, well, all looked like the same thing ...and red white and blue "AMERICAN" ...as usual;

Where they get these people....Ha!

It appears "that they conveniently" don't have any concept of the "Virginia Declaration of Rights #4"; or why "State Born Exclusive Privileges" (i.e. Corporations, Unions and Special interests or undelegated state and federal bureaucracies) are not even suppose to exist in a free country or be part of the freedom of Contract as they corrupt them both.

Results

Democratic Presidential Candidate received '9' million less votes in 2012 as compared with 2008.

:D

p.s. Republican received 2 million less

donvino

That shows a solid chink in the Consensus issue for both of them

Especially since most of the votes both parties did secure, were simply "party line" ignorant "pull the handle for the team" "desperation votes".

9.4M LESS people voted in '12 than in '08

That would have been 7.2% of the 2012 National Popular Vote.

If they did vote in 2012, and voted for Gary Johnson, he would have won 8.1% of the National Popular Vote.

Take the number of fewer '08 to 2012 voters added to ALL the votes NOT for the 2 main Big parties is 11,287,147 that would have been 8.7% of the 2012 National Popular vote.

Its contacting those 11.2 Million people and telling them of the Liberty Movement thats gonna help us win in 2016.

looking for "conservative" pundits

during the election my plan was: if Romney wins, I'll buy the main left-leaning papers and get a good laugh, if Obama wins, I'll search for the "conservative" pundits videos that bashed or ignored Ron Paul after the "electable option" lost.

Obama won and I can't find anything on the web :-(

Nixon won in a 520 EV landslide in 1972

and resigned in disgrace less than 2 years later.

Fast & Furious, Benghazi are not going to go away. Its up to us too keep these investigations alive.

This race was Romney's to lose...

... and he did it !

Dear GOP

Don't blame me. I wrote in Ron Paul because you guys were too stupid to get behind the real winner and I'm not going to have blood on my hands by voting for the lesser or greater of two evils. I'm glad Mitt lost because I don't want the libs erroneously blaming "those free market guys" for all the problems that will undoubtedly continue to occur.

Hmm ... something I never thought of

You said:

"I'm not going to have blood on my hands by voting for the lesser or greater of two evils"

I never thought of the GREATER of two evils side of things.

Next time we get the "lesser of two evils" argument, maybe the response should be something like this:

Them: Well, you have to vote for the lesser of two evils.
Me: As long as you plan on voting for evil, why not vote for the greater of two evils?

Should drive home the point -- and make them admit they don't know what the hell they're talking about.

Haha.

So the PTB chose puppet #1

Big deal. We knew it would be one or the other. I thought it would be giant douche Romney, but they went with the turd sandwich. I was wrong, but it really makes no difference. People are NOT that stupid. Ron Paul would be president if not for the rigged system. So the next step should be working toward getting a legitimate voting system in place, which must include taking away the Diebold voting machines. Otherwise, we're just spinning our wheels here.

In the meantime, stock up on food, water & ammo because the hard times they are a comin'.

More Proof

that support for Romney was a mirage just like in the primaries. Make people think that others support Romney and hope everyone jumps on the band wagon. FAIL

Heard at the end of the campaign trail: Voters speak out.

"Obama? Yea. He broke his promises last time. He reneged on every one of his campaign promises... except one. Did he not buy his kids a dog?"

"Romney? You mean Flipper? ... Your kidding, right? He kept flipping all of his promises. For his campaign? Oh yea, that too. ... Wait a minute, you've got me confused. Shouldn't he get 1/2 credit?

Disclaimer: Mark Twain (1835-1910-To be continued) is unlicensed. His river pilot's license went delinquent in 1862. Caution advised. Daily Paul

4 % short of 5 %

Gary Johnson: 1,139,562 1.0%
Others (including write ins): ~175,000 0.1%

So the LP did not get the

5% they needed?

Does anyone know nationally how much our third party people did or how many write-in votes for Ron Paul occurred?

Bright spots?

In Washington State we voted to allow same sex marriage and to legilize cannabis use, so there are two instances where the people voted for more liberty and less government.

keeping marriage definitions

keeping marriage definitions within the government's realm is a terrible idea, makes me wonder how people ever survived without marriage licenses before, lol

human nature is so funny

I have said...

I have said for a long time that marriage is a religious institution and the governmetn should not play a part in it. Allowing same sex couples to marry is a step in the right direction.
