If Romney wins, the Liberty Movement is basically finished.

My belief is that no TRUE Ron Paul supporter could lower themself to the level of voting for Romney.

I voted for Gary Johnson, but I feel a Romney victory will be the absolute worst thing for the liberty movement.

Why?

1. It will show that we never DID really matter and
2. The RNC/GOP can cheat without any negative consequence.

If Romney wins, we and our cause will have been neutralized to the point of extinction.

On the other hand, if he loses by the margin of votes for alternate options (Ron Paul write-ins, 3rd Party Liberty Candidates or simply abstaining), it will PROVE our point.

It will be a great victory for the Liberty Movement.

Now we can seize control of

Now we can seize control of the Party rather than be purged from it.

Ventura 2012

This has been the gamble for

This has been the gamble for awhile now.

Plus, I suspect some wolves in sheep clothing have some explaining to do about supporting the "satan is jesus's brother" candidate.

And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor.

Obama won.

They are just stretching out the suspence.

I bet you're an old person.

Don't let your middle-aged depression get in the way of our youthful vigor

Liberty|Death

RNC stands for Rotten Nasty Cheaters

I'm done with them.

THEY did it - NOT ME.

I played by all their rules required to become a delegate.

All the time, effort and money for naught.

AND Not a WORD from Romney about all the cheating. Meaning he sanctioned it.

Sorry, but I'm not a SAP or a SHEEP which I would be by staying in the GOP and trying to pretend to be one of them just so that MAYBE Rand could have a shot someday.

Even if that were to happen, either they would cheat him out too or it would mean he had compromised enough of hie principles to get that far.

So keep dreaming the the RNC/GOP is the way back to liberty.

I'm simply not that optimistic.

"We have allowed our nation to be over-taxed, over-regulated, and overrun by bureaucrats. The founders would be ashamed of us for what we are putting up with."
-Ron Paul

I would love to see GJ's vote total cost Romney the election

However, a few points:

1) We'd still be stuck w/ Obama as our president
2) TPTB probably don't give a crap about us. They know we'd never vote for their candidates so they probably don't care about trying to "win us over"
3) Isn't voting rigged by Diebold (or whatever it's called these days) anyway?
4) 4 years from now we might not be voting for president anyway. America might be part of the NWO.

Wining by cheating is losing.

It doesn't matter which loser wins, live free.

If you see something, say something, the government is listening.
Silence isn't golden, it's yellow.

Yes, I agree with this...

Yes, I agree with this... that's why I sent an absentee ballot in for Obama and will make up for my vote by donating to Rand Paul as soon as he says he's running in 2016.

A Romney win will be devastating for us....

I'm not giving up

if either lackey wins. How about you?

It's time! Rand Paul 2016!

"Truth, Justice, and the American Way!"

Liberty is a Gift From our Creator

It's our entire purpose for being and will never die. It's the opportunity for every Individual to CHOSE between good and evil.

May God bless the Liberty movement!

I disagree

No matter how small the liberty movement is labeled to be, it will only grow stronger in the coming years. After Romney begins implementing the same policies that Obama has for the past four years: ignoring the national debt, involving America in more global conflicts, and wreaking havoc on our civil liberties, so many Romney supporters will wish that they would have had the courage to support a true, constitutional conservative like Ron Paul.

Personally, I know 4 members of my family and several friends that now deeply regret voting for Obama in 2008. I believe that the same feelings will come back to haunt Romney supporters.

Feel free to reuse any resources/ideas that I post on the DailyPaul on other networking sites.

NO!

If we continue to play nice with the RINO GOP and kiss enough ass, Romney and the GOP HAVE to let Rand have his turn in their party! Right... right.... Right? Then WHAT THE HELL are we going along with all of the BS for! Oh, right, the power "to agree to agree, and be silent when we disagree" because Obama/Hillary, (insert name here) would be terrible and set this country back to the stone age!

Whatever dude!

Rights NOT asserted, are eviscerated! You can NOT serve two masters, you either stand up FOR Ron Paul's principles, or you consent to becoming another brick in the wall...

Make your choice...

Wrong

Ron Paul is a Republican and how many years did it take him to finally be heard far and wide?
Something is finished only when you, personally, decide it's finished. Ron Paul never quit, never acquiesced under the weight of the machine he actually participated in, and I - and hundreds like me - never will, either.
What I note is that you voted for gj and what I keep seeing from gj voters is this riduculous despair because of fear that your PARTY might not get the magic 5% you're all hoping for. I have no sympathy for those like you who put PARTY over principles.
And please do not lump me in with you pathetic gj lackeys who somehow think liberty dies with a gj defeat.
Ron Paul LIVES!

If Tyranny and Oppression come to this land, it will be in the guise of fighting a foreign enemy.
James Madison

His campaign quit on him...

And he never controlled the people who went after the grassroots and split his camp in two.

One can only forgive so much, until it becomes an abusive relationship. Even RP must be held accountable.

I Want Ron Paul

....to continue speaking all over the country by invitation (and there will be more and more invitations) and I want him to do so without anyone following him around, riding on his coattails, mixing the message and spending my money to do so.

Ron Paul never quit. Never compromised. Remains true to himself and the message. Long live the education revolution!!!

When things start crashing...people will say Ron Paul was right.

fonta

To clarify, the liberty movement within the GOP will be done...

...if Romney wins.

Look, they didn't embrace us - they wanted us OUT.

So if they win without us, what the hell can we tell them then???

We will have been effectively de-fanged.

Maybe another party with better ideologies and platform would be a good place for some of us to go.

But then it's an argument as to which party = further division.

We'll be scattered to the winds and the Romney idiots will gloat for years to come.

Can you imagine telling a republican you were a Ron Paul supporter the last 2 elections?

They'll LAUGH us out of the party.

But who wants to be involved in their corrupt, cheating party anyway?

I'm off to greener pastures - or apathetic ones.

"We have allowed our nation to be over-taxed, over-regulated, and overrun by bureaucrats. The founders would be ashamed of us for what we are putting up with."
-Ron Paul

The movement would not be

The movement would not be over but it would sure be set back 8 years as far as the republican party is concerned.

The OP is right partially.

The liberty movement is OVER IN THE GOP!
If Romney wins it proves they don't need us to win a general election. We can't let that happen!
Vote Obama in swing states if necessary. PUKE PUKE

Over? It will Ramp Up

and by the end of his term it will much much larger then the current movement -

The fuse of Liberty is Lit - and the Youth of America will run with it. It will continue to swell and grow!

So many of you supporters are Pansies with no fight in ya

"You Cannot Stop An Idea Whose Time Has Come"

It's not just Presidential

It's not just Presidential, State House & Senate, U.S. House & Senate, etc.

What will happen is that eventually the pain and suffering

will be sufficient to cause violent revolution or civil war. It is just a matter of time and the operation of the laws of nature. The only thing that will be finished is the peaceful stage of the revolution process.

"Bend over and grab your ankles" should be etched in stone at the entrance to every government building and every government office.

I seriously disagree with the premise of this a lot

of Ron's new supporters just won't vote in the election, imho.

Integrity means having to say things that people don't want to hear & especially to say things that the regime doesnt want to hear -RonPaul

Nope. Because there is a time bomb built in.

Frankly Bush/Obama have gotten us into so much trouble that NOBODY can get us out. (Ron Paul could - but he admits we would be subject to great pain at first.)

Romney WILL not succeed. And I don't say that simply because I do not like him. I say that because right now we are living on borrowed time. The problem IS unescapable.

The easiest way to sum it is this. Interest rates have got to go up eventually right? Or we wil simply keep borrowing, and we can't do that for a lot of reasons. when interest rates go up - we will have to pay more intrest on the debt we already have - soon we will be talking about trillions of dollars in interest alone - and thats more than we tax.

Whoever is elected in this cycle will be villified and damned - and the pendalum will swing HARD the other way. There is no alternative.

If its Romney we will swing into full fledged Socialism WHEN (not if) he fails.

But it won't be Romney. Obama is the winner. (Wait if you don't believe me).

And we are going to swing HARD, VERY HARD - into fascism (National Socialism or Naziism) because of it.

Interest = Time-Bomb

+1, very calculated & well said. Thanks for bringing into focus, =
" - soon we will be talking about trillions of dollars in interest alone - and thats more than we tax."

This ticking, or "Ratchet Effect" (ever increasing debt & pressure) is making things worse, = choking, controlling, or driving to war.

I agree with you completely.

A Hitler is on the horizon. Its what happens with a terrible collapse of economy and society. And it is completely unavoidable at this late stage.

Counting on the system power set up...

...to change power sounds stupid to me. Election = endorsement of power. It's the ideas that have to change the people, not the elections or elected leaders.

This is not bowing or sour grapes or ignoring reality, in my opinion. It is the reality. We're trying to reverse something bigger than slavery or women's domination or child abuse.

Currently consuming: Gatto: "Underground history of education..", FDR; Wii U; NEP Football

"Election = endorsement of power".

+1. your comment is very weighty.
POWER = Pimps Obsessed With Economic Rape.

"It's the ideas that have to change the people ~". Agreed, to the extent that the "Idea" Leads, = => to the Truth, that which is ancient, wise, universal, irrefutable, recorded, verifiable, i.e. No myth, rumor, legend or heresy.
When universal truth is found out then ideas should be set aside.
e.g. 2+2=4 is true. 2+2=5 or 6.5 are ideas, untrue.

Since I'm in OHIO, my hope would be that Romney

loses to Obuma in OHIO with a one point margin and Johnson getting high single digits. Would even better if the votes took all week to count. Talking heads would have to talk about the libertarian candidate/party.

The rEVOLution will have only just begun

In the GOP.. where we will do what we did as grassroots, except now as GOP.

Look forward to the new GOP, anti-war, ending the fed, restoring the republic....
