If Romney wins, the Liberty Movement is basically finished.

My belief is that no TRUE Ron Paul supporter could lower themself to the level of voting for Romney.

I voted for Gary Johnson, but I feel a Romney victory will be the absolute worst thing for the liberty movement.

Why?

1. It will show that we never DID really matter and
2. The RNC/GOP can cheat without any negative consequence.

If Romney wins, we and our cause will have been neutralized to the point of extinction.

On the other hand, if he loses by the margin of votes for alternate options (Ron Paul write-ins, 3rd Party Liberty Candidates or simply abstaining), it will PROVE our point.

It will be a great victory for the Liberty Movement.

I think they even hate us more than the Dems

Romney and the other Neocons would prefer to lose to a democrat than ever see anyone who cares about the constitution or liberty in a position of power.

Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.

Disagree -- it'll show that

Disagree -- it'll show that the GOP made a huge mistake nominating a big government fascist.

If Romney loses, and the

If Romney loses, and the G.O.P. are able to prove or even lie that Dr. Paul supporters are the cause or even partly to blame does this not set back the liberty movement?
They will spin the base into hating us so much we will not be able to takeover anything.
Isn't this as plausible as your assumption that if Romney wins the liberty movement is dead?
I'm not suggesting to vote for Romney but if he loses we will most likely get the blame as well as the Libertarian Party.

Yes, you are right. If Ron Paul supporters are blamed

for a Romney loss, it is a huge blow to the future of the liberty movement.

Remember, we are in this for the LONG Haul.

Na, would be a set back though.

We have the momentum and the demographic advantage, Romney winning would be a minor set back. At the same time it opens new opportunities. Just don't give up, get involved and preach the message.

it ain't gonna stop me from making youtube video's about auditing the federal reserve sound money liberty and educating others about the federal reserve http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pGUY-DjVf7I im a tirelyness minority as well as all of you other people are : ) keep spreading the good word liberty is within us all : )

Albert Camus — 'The only way to deal with an unfree world is to become so absolutely free that your very existence is an act of rebellion.'

No its not. We actually have more firepower.

Attend your local TEAGOP/evangelical meeting and ask them what their GOP winner plan is for you.

Every time that Romney goes against the Constitution, limited government, backs the Fed, etc.... Go to those people and say, Hey what's going on here, he's just like Obama. What did you people do to me?

You get the picture. Hold their feet to the fire more than Obama's. We know O was bull. Hammer R home.

It wouldn't be the end of the Liberty Movement...

...but it would definitely be a set-back.

"Alas! I believe in the virtue of birds. And it only takes a feather for me to die laughing."

You are correct

People view Obama as a socialist and Romney as a capitalist, even though they are both warfare-welfare statists.

And since the economy will worsen no matter who's in charge, it's better for Obama to win so that socialism gets a bad rap and not capitalism.

It is very narrowminded

to think that our only course for achieving liberty in this country is by winning the presidency. Although it certainly would help, it is by far not the only means to continue to fight for our God given rights. In fact, change is much more easily achieved on the local and state levels and that is where the real battle will continue (with or without you) and is how we are going to get our country back.

Amen.

Amen.

It might be dead to you, but

It might be dead to you, but I doubt everyone else in the liberty movement is just going to throw their arms up and say "fuck it."

If Romney wins, it's our chance to criticize him mercilessly during his reign and gain more disenfranchised Republicans to the cause.

No true Paul supporter would ever say liberty mov is finished

Dude! Regardless who wins, we will go on. We have to. Romney will be no real change so we will continue the fight to restore liberty to this country.

The liberty movement won't be totally finished but...

...it will be a huge setback.

I know how politics goes.

It's a real fickle game.

There are not many Ron Pauls in this world who can fire up a movement the way he did.

He is a once in a lifetime candidate.

The GOP/RNC knows this and are drooling at the mouth waiting for him (and us) to go away.

Spearheading that is the right wing media filled with anti-liberty Ron-Paul-hating types like Rush Limbaugh, Mark Levin, Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity, Bill O'Reilly, John Gibson, Laura Ingraham, Dick Morris, Bill Kristol etc.

"We have allowed our nation to be over-taxed, over-regulated, and overrun by bureaucrats. The founders would be ashamed of us for what we are putting up with."
-Ron Paul

Maybe the movement needs to

Maybe the movement needs to grow to accept people who are real non-compromise-rs, but don't have nice hair.

Also, during the American Revolution, there were a whole bunch of good leaders. So it isn't always a once in a lifetime, one guy sort of thing.

I think the movement is looking in the wrong direction. I also think until it stops attacking the base of the population or accepting such attacks as ok - ie Christians, it won't go anywhere.

And if you know God, that may very well be why Ron Paul lost. The Israels received 40 years in the wilderness because they weren't ready. A movement in a country that God has founded and which gave Him the glory has zero chance of working if it tries to take that glory away from Him.

And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor.

Perseverence means going on with what you've got.

Things are tough now, and it's definitely going to get much, much worse from here. The key is to keep the faith! Stay true. Be the light to the nation, because things are going to get dark, and you have to shine for the abandoned and confused masses when the time comes.

A Romney administration will make things worse, and people will forget that Prince Riebus called Gary Johnson a non-factor. They will only think of their empty bellies and cold floors.

Keep the faith. Stay republican. Keep learning and teaching. There is nothing that a Romney or Obama win will do to slow this revolution, because it's a philosophical revolution. I finally understand what Ron Paul's been saying all these years. The news is indeed very good. Keep your chin up!

Michael Nystrom's fists can punch through FUD.
