The born again, reuniting, welcome back, election is over, time to get back to business thread.

Hey team,

By now most of have aired our laundry, made our pitch and campaigned for what we thought was right. We are in the final hours of voting and before you know it it will all be in the books.

We duked it out and did some blood letting but now the battle is over, at least on who to vote for in the 2012 presidential election.

So now we embark on a new dawn. Let us all put the uglies behind us and join together in the fight for liberty on common ground.

Many of us admire the passion and heart of our members that wanted to persuade folks into the Gary Johnson camp. We also admire the folks that wanted no one but Ron Paul. There's even admiration for others that fiercely fought for other liberty candidates. In the end we all have a common goal and should put pride aside and embrace each other for what brought us together in the first place

One thing we can all agree on is we are passionate , have huge hearts and are some of the toughest fighters for principle in the world. We all want to be free and glow with the fire of liberty!

Now that its over for all practical purposes we have much work to do.

Will you join me in reaching a hand out to bond our efforts and put the elections behind us.

We are all brothers and sisters now and we will need all of you to continue this Campaign for Liberty .

now just walk away like nothing happened? all the shit johnson people called paul supporters, "cult"--courtesy of jetguy, "unethical to still write in paul", "ron paul writer-in'er should leave" just pretend nothing happened? i get the urge to say fuck you no

if you say 'i was just being a queen' that's even worse.. because i don't deal with queens

be ready to stand by your word when you open your fucking mouth

Right on!

Right on man! Let's take this thing local and keep an eye to the national. By 2016 we have to be ready. We need to proselytize our neighbors, our friends with the logic and kindness of a r3VOLution! Talk sense and do it with a smile and every day until 2016 we'll bring people around. Save up some money if possible to give in the races of good candidates and encourage good candidates to come forward in every race everywhere!

Real change must come from the ground up, not from bankster controlled elections.

I know we've all had some spats on here, but I'm excited for all of that to end and for us to get ready for the next batch of Liberty candidates.

Did anyone win local races here for State or local legislatures?? We won some great seats in the US House.

I'm pretty excited for all the infighting to end.

You people can't seriously still believe elections are legitimate and relevant!

Do you have suggestions or only barbs? If so, let's hear them.

+88 Votes for C4L.

+1, you wrote = "we can all agree on is we are passionate , have huge hearts and are some of the toughest fighters for principle in the world." There is no no doubt Ron Paul stood his ground, remained steady, was not sold out, stuck with the Principles of Liberty.
best wishes to you & your brothers & sisters in the Campaign..

Amen Brother!

Anyone who has truly swallowed the red pill should know that quitting is not an option.

But neither is the Four Year locust strategy of waking up to make some noise during the presidential campaign and then going back to sleep. That is a recipe for disaster and irrelevancy.

The Virtual Conspiracy

I just wanted to say - don't

I just wanted to say - don't get tricked by the old divide and conquer tactic. The powers that be have driven a wedge into the liberty movement by creating this false big L and little l libertarian dichotomy. There is no dichotomy. We are all LIBERTARIANS, and regardless of who you voted for yesterday, today is the beginning of a whole new struggle. Ron Paul was instrumental in reviving the libertarian spirits, but this movement was never about one person, and going forward we won't be able to rally behind Ron anyway. This is actually a good thing. We need to move away from focusing on personalities and focus on the message instead.

Really...Born Again?

Born again or Fooled again?

good question :)

How Much More

Now that Obama has won the election, how much more damage can he do in the next 4 years? Come 2016, I fear the locks will be on the gates by then and it will be difficult or too late to reverse the damage he will do.

To date he has done 139 Executive Orders, and I have no doubt this win will go to his head and his attitude will be to do what ever he wants.

I just don't feel good about this at all. Yes lets beat our drums and charge forward for the good of all, but I think ill winds are blowing everyone's way now.

I think the same would've happened had Romney got in.

We've got lots of work to do. We have 2014 to think of for House/Senate races, and lots of local work to do infiltrating the local GOP until then.

It may not look good, but at least we have a path to follow and ways we can all work.

Eric Hoffer

that make your passion grow even further to restore liberty? I never really understood this mind set from RP supporters, If you are that concerned with what Obama can do in 4 years why not push Liberty as far down as you can, while you still can.

The People want change just as much as we do, Sadly they believed the incumbent was far better change than the change provided by Neo-Cons. Their days are counted and now real change in the GOP MUST be heard.

I for one see this as great news, Now if things do turn ugly we can blame Big Government instead of The Free Market which is what would have happened under a Mitt Romney administration.

Bless you my friend!

You are so cool, GREAT post!

Looking forward

I think a good name for all of us DPers to watch and look into is Walter Jones House Rep from NC district 3. I think here is a man who has a good track record and is a friend to liberty. For those of you who are not familiar with him I suggest you look him up http://jones.house.gov/issues

Of course there will be many eyes on Rand as well. I have not given up on Rand but he has lost my trust. I do not know what his ultimate plan is or what his real motives are. I hope they are with liberty but I cannot be sure and will be cautious. I did not like some of the votes he had cast and I was disappointed that he never went after Romney and ended up supporting him.

guarantee fiscal cliff, I am buying more silver tomorrow

I'll be running here in Hawaii next time around :-)

NO MORE LIES. Ron Paul 2012.

I think the next step is to spin the election results. We need to make it clear that Mitt Romney lost because he was unelectable. You can't win anymore if you're an imperialistic religious extremist, which is how Romney's opponents view him. The only way for Republicans to not lose control permanently is to embrace our cause.

The next step is a fierce battle with the lame duck Congress.

Then we need to focus on building grassroots networks. My area doesn't have anything. I've no way of getting involved at all. I'm sure there are plenty of other liberty dead zones and isolated libertarians. We need to get rid of these dead zones. We need to get existing networks improved. With them, we need to get our people elected to city councils, and state legislatures. Once they are there, they can run higher office.

With the second sentence but maybe not the first. Depends on the definition of "spin".

I've no way of getting involved

Yes you do. Start your own groups. I am in SC and I found several people who believe like I do and we created our own small group. My group is growing and hopefully will expand in the next 4 years under the oppression of a true police state. Good luck to you.

I MIGHT move to find better work

I'm looking for a better job in places outside of my area so I may be moving in the near future, though I may still stick around I find something around here. I don't want to start a new group if I'm not going to be around for long.

A Message of Unity is Great - But Let's Also Be Realistic and

truthful. The election and re-election of Barack Obama signifies not only a demographic change in America but confirms a change in the political philosophy of the American general populace. Obama's re-election means the trend for America's long-term outlook is toward socialism. What that means to people who supported Ron Paul, like me, is that Paul's limited government will never be a political reality until such time that our in-debted goernment, propped up by the Fed, has a monetary collapse and/or some type of real revoltion. Libertarians will always be fringe and never be a significant part of the populace. And that folks is the straight talk. Tough message, but start with the truth and make decisions from that basis. We can all now look toward increasing government intrusion and controlled industries and markets. Just jump on the wagon and see where it goes or consider other places to live. And for the life of me, I can think of no other country worth consideration of immigrating to. Good luck, God Bless and it has been fun.
