Post Election Daily Paul: The importance of the individual; what do you think?

I just saw this on Lew Rockwell--

http://lewrockwell.com/shaffer/shaffer262.html

I've always believed this, but I needed a reminder--

I think it applies to the way many of *us* are feeling today--

Am I breaking a rule by linking the entire blog?

Moderators, help me out here--please.

Is this better?

Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.

shamelessly bumping . . .

so others can see. There is a reason for *us* to continue to battle the collectivists--

it's hard to be awake; it's easier to dream--

It becomes

more appealing than ever after you have been witness to the redistribution of wealth and the mediocrity and worse that spawns. It is the individual with uncompromised ideas that causes a society to surge.

I believe compromise has it's place in a general platform, but not when it comes to a person having the courage of their conviction, pride and confidence in the product of their own mind. To compromise in that situation makes that idea less than their own.

I wonder if "stick to your guns" came from? Maybe the idea of the individual has always been there.
