Seems too early to limit ourselves to just one Patriot.

And yes, Rand is a Patriot and I would support him. But, there are other Patriots who deserve our support, imo. Justin Amash and Andrew Napolitano are names that immediately pop into my head, along with Rand Paul, if I think about 2016.

Bottom line for me is to focus on the MESSAGE and help support any and all Patriots who run for any office during the next four years.

All of this, of course, depends on whether we will still be a sovereign nation and able to support our Patriots, rather than a subjected nation under the United Nations.

Congressmen don't become President, Senators & Governors do.

Amash is great but he is a congressman.

Napolitano would make a great Supreme Court Justice or Attorney General.

Judges don't generally become President either.

Why not break that trend.

If the good Doctor endorses him, along with r3volution, I see Amash a major contender. He has no baggage. He is constitutionally sound. He would have the youth vote, as well as the vote of the true conservative.

We must be the change that we seek. We must never place limitations upon ourselves. Trend, ptb influence, has not worked out so well for us. Therefore, we must break old molds and start anew.

"What if the American people learn the truth" - Ron Paul

So, you're saying I shouldn't support Amash or

Napolitano, if either of them decides to run?

I Support Amash Being Amash

...continuing to speak out for liberty and stand tall with the principles that made us all detect "truth" like we had never heard it in Ron Paul.

I feel strongly that Amash has convictions and commitment, like Ron Paul, to continue to be a voice for liberty in the positions where he believes he can do the most for the cause. There are others.

Nonna, in another post you wisely reminded us stated that we have four years, the last two will most likely present potential candidates for the Senate, the House, local positions...and even President. We should and will continue to scrutinize these "potentials" ...watch them like hawks and, where we deem them worthy and honest, support them in everything they do for liberty.

By doing this...exposing the wrongs...and fighting for the rights...educating the young...supporting any efforts by Ron Paul and others to raise awareness...we are acknowledging the measuring stick, but also building the platform and support base for all "true" liberty candidates. This is critically important right now.

Overly much emphasis on this blog...at this time...of who should be President opens the door for criticism and DIVISION. Division we do not need. We need unity behind some very basic principles that are the backbone of liberty and we need to build local coalitions strengthening the base. After all, it is States who elect their Senators and Congressmen which indicates, to me, act and educate locally.

I LOVE Amash and the Judge and a precious handful of others. We can expect many to ride on the coattails of any enthusiastic movement and we need to call them out if they are usurpers. For the "good guys"...let no harm come to them from us.

Even as we do this, I believe firmly that we should stand behind and applaud liberty efforts by any Congessman or Senator over the next two or so years and attempt to avoid overly criticizing them because we do not agree with everything they are doing. If like a Rand, they are standing strongly behind any liberty principles, avoid attacking the messenger and applaud the message in this area.

Also, we should leave open the door for many to rethink positions they have taken in the past. Crises are coming and they are going to be severe. Many will have the opportunity to change their stripes. I, for one, will watch those who say they have had an epiphany like a hawk, but as one who has changed many opinions and positions through education and expanded awareness, I believe there are those in Congress or running for Congress who might also grow and question prior positions.

Let's not shoot ourselves in the foot!

fonta

Very Very well said fonta,

"What if the American people learn the truth" - Ron Paul

No, I think Amash needs to run for Governor or Senator first.

Even Ron Paul ran for US Senate in Texas before stepping up to run for president.

Rand was in high school at the time and stood in for his father at one of the debates against sitting US Senator Phil Graham.

I wish someone would post that video.

.

I must have missed that video where Rand said

he's running for president in 2016. I wish someone would post it so I could get behind him at this point in time.

Not mocking you. Just trying to get you to understand that we should be supporting ALL Patriots for any offices for which they choose to run, from the presidency on down. Your observation seems to be that we shouldn't have supported Ron Paul because he is a congressman, and therefore not qualified, for goodness sake!

I like Rand Paul. He gives hope for our future. I would have no problem supporting his bid for the presidency, IF he throws his hat into the ring. Don't put the cart in front of the horse, my friend.

I will vote

for who ever takes out country in the right direction, if there is more than one like that then I will vote for the one who is taking the country in the rightest direction. Rand so far has a voting record I agree with so he will have my vote unless someone better comes along.

A powerful Rand is not the answer

Restricting the power of EVERY president is.

http://www.dailypaul.com/262265/lots-of-people-here-are-talk...

I hope he runs...

...and if he does, I'll support him.

"Alas! I believe in the virtue of birds. And it only takes a feather for me to die laughing."

Rand is not the answer

Electing the "right" guy has never been the answer - especially at the Presidential level. If things are going to change, it will be from the bottom up. Ron was a once in a lifetime (once in several lifetimes, actually) chance. Moving on from here there is no reason to focus on the Presidency - certainly not with Rand.

No King but Jesus, no President but Ron Paul

Mr Spock

Logic would dictate that if things are going to change, the irate minority must affect the change that we seek.

Ron is once in a lifetime. However, Amash is Constitutionally sound, and has a voting record to back that up. Though we, the irate minority, must work at the local/state to defend and protect our personal Liberties, it is the president who sets the tone for the vast majority of lazy citizens.

Justin Amash is on the horizon.

hmm Ima need to see more from Rand

at this point its like transitioning from Frank Zappa to Dweezil.

I highly doubt I'll vote for Rand

I'll probably vote for a Liberty Candidate.

I Am...

...proudly with you.

We need to get an early start on 2016: Support Rand PAC 2016

Sure, but I don't think I've

Sure, but I don't think I've heard Rand say a single time that he has any aspirations to ever running for President. Maybe he plans on it, but I don't remember hearing anything about it from him.

eh.. who else do we have?

eh.. who else do we have?

Hell yeah

lets get our bumper stickers on our cars and our yard signs out now!!!! We need to start an on going money bomb until 2016 also for Rand, lets load it up.

Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom must. like men, undergo the fatigue of supporting it.-Thomas Paine

The R3volution requires action, not observation!!!!

That's The Spirit.

.

I wil consider it...

however, it seems Rand has already made some verbal mistake of referring to people in such a way as to allow opponents to make the racists charge. Rand stood by his word and endorsed the GOP nominee, so no matter what these RP wackos think, I know Rand is not an enemy to things his Father believed in. Thing is, can't we just support him through C4L? I think starting a website from scratch is very involved.

What? With Jesse Benton leading the charge?

Forgettaboutit! Let Rand stand by his man: Romney

Not for Rand

Rand endorsed Mitt. Considering what Mitt stands for I could never vote for Rand. He lost me. Some will say he didn't mean the endorsement, but did it to "play smart" and get on the inside. But that means he lied when he endorsed Mitt. And again, he lost me.

He kept his word

Rand kept his word to endorse the party nominee. He made a promise and he kept it, much like his father kept his word when he swore himself to the U.S. Constitution. Rand has also kept his oath of office, and not many politicians in recent history can say that.
