Marijuana Legal in Colorado!

Lots of energy coming up.

Today is a monumental and historic day as we see the Proposition 64 to legalize the usage of Marijuana by adults in the great State of Colorado passing! We put a lot of light on this to make sure they did not attempt to flip-flop the vote!

Here is the latest and possible final tally. Let's hope it does not change.

Percent Votes

Yes 52.41% 680,796

No 47.59% 618,218

Total Votes 1,299,014

Well, at least there are SOME intelligent voters left out there

Good job CO

Anyone got room in Colorado

For my RV?

these are the elections that

these are the elections that matter.

Congratulations Colorado and Washington!!!

Here in Oregon ours lost but it will pass the next time around after the state sees that its citizens and tourists are being lost to Washington. This is a historic day for freedom and some day people will look back in every state and laugh about the fact that marijuana was ever illegal.

By supporting I-502, Washington's naive voters were hoping for more freedom, but they'll soon find themselves harassed/accosted by police more frequently, but in a much more nightmarish way, because police can now stop bad drivers and detain them while blood tests are authorized/performed.

Now, after merely being suspected of DUI, people found with more than 5 nanograms of THC in their blood -- after time-consuming procedures -- they'll be charged with a DUI.

Where balance tests and breathalyzer tests were once the quick & common norm, police officers will soon push hard to make blood testing the most common norm, like they've made tazing innocent people seem common and normal.

Ladies and Gentleman

I can not begin to articulate the utter bliss I feel knowing That I have lived to see this day. Jack Herer, John Denver, John Lennon, Bob Marley and many, many others have tears in their eyes tonight and are singing in the old spirit of liberty, "Free at Last, Free at Last, Thank God Almighty, Free at Last!"

But there are 48 states to go.

For liberty!

Go Colorado AND Washington! May the brushfire spread...

This is going to make Obama

This is going to make Obama either look really bad or really good if/when he fights this. If AG attacks this, man, will this make Obama look terrible and give a huge helping hand to Rand Paul in 2016!

We'll see....

Well, he is still sending in

Well, he is still sending in his troops to California and that's for medical reasons. We shall see.

Good news for Liberty. :)

Good news for Liberty. :)

Happy Libertarian

The FEDs

will fight this. But, if in the meantime the law goes forward and other states see a massive drop in Colorado's crime rate, increased tax revenues, and a serious boom in tourism without the place turning in a replica of Height Asbury circa 1969, other states will be forced to follow suit. The dominoe effect.

Reduce the prison population? So pot's legal, raw milk is illegal?

I-502 to legalize marijuana is also passing in washington state. And raw milk is also legal here, it just has to be inspected, but you can find it on the shelves in Marlene's Grocery, where I shop. I'm sure it is also carried in other stores.

I've seem raw milk in Florida's Native Sun grocery stores.

It's labeled "for baby cows".

Very Happy I moved here.

More importantly...

This is not an isolated development. Legalization is going to pass in Washinton too. Also, an openly gay woman won the senate seat in Wisconsin. The first gay marriage ballot passed in another state. I think the country is becoming socially liberal.

And the Washington State!! Both now get to legalize marijuana! YAAAAAY!!!

forget the president

This is a HUGE win for liberty!!!

Don't tread on me bro

Does this also mean you can grow your own?

Anybody know?

The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe. If you try it, you will be lonely often, and sometimes frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself.

not sure about CO

but WA I-502 is only allowing 1 oz from state run liquor store, but medicinal users can still grow their own.

We still have state run liquor stores?

I did not know that. I am just really glad that 502 is passing. It's not that I want to run out and buy some, but it's a state's rights issue.

It's looking like Washington

will pass too with 56% currently.

off topic

but I remember when I was passing through Boulder as a vagrant and seeing dozens of kids smoking weed right on the steps of the courthouse, and this cop telling me where I could sleep to avoid getting in trouble. Wild place.

Broomfield sucks though.

On topic: good to see, but I wish people didn't feel the need to vote over issues like this...

Still, a step in the right direction IMO.
