The Mathematical Case For We Made Mitt Lose (Updated)Submitted by Smudge Pot on Wed, 11/07/2012 - 00:47
Of course we know it's about the electoral college vote but the popular vote is still just a thrilling pagent isn't it? And I always look forward to the unpopular vote counts to see how us peons did in relation to other peons of various stripes and flavours.
In this one we have a bunch of RP write ins which may or may not be counted and may or may not reported even if they are so with such a VERY VERY TIGHT popular vote race, the question seems to be:
For ever GJ vote tabulated, how many RP write-ins do you figure are out there?
We may never get real data so guesswork might be our only method. However at this time, if we figure for every GJ lever pulled there's a RP write-in...
I think we might just be able to take credit for sending Mittens home in a car top carrier. And wouldn't that be just dandy?
- So here we are at 2:00AM MST and about 113 million votes came in for the demicans. About 30% of the nation. Hmmmmm....that definitely seems to continue the overall down trend of voting in general. The general public continues to become more apathetic and disillusioned with the status quo.
- About 16.9 million people voted non-demican. That indicates more people are simultaneously coming out of apathy.
- About 5700 creative souls didn't cast a vote for president on their ballot so "none of the above" might be a trend to watch.
The real fun starts when write ins are (or aren't) counted. My gut still tells me for every GJ vote there's an RP write in so the true strength of the non-demican vote might be up around 1.8 million.
If we include all "liberty candidates" plus my multiplier for write ins, the "liberty vote" might be someplace around 2 million.
This isn't exponential growth, this is quantum leap.
