Doug Wead: Rand Paul 2016

For Republicans, there is a silver lining to the re-election of Barack Obama. The door is now open for real change in 2016. The recently adopted Romney Rules at the RNC, which would have locked out any true democratic participation and guaranteed eight more years of GOP establishment, top-down, Brahman-style, domination, are now moot. The gate is open...

Is that the best answer you have got? Seriously?

Is that the best answer you have got? Seriously? I joined the Daily Paul not the Daily Rand. Rand just happens to be a divisive subject. Check Michael's comments, you know - the site owner or maybe you are accusing him of being a troll? Grow up!

Constantly replying to any pro Rand comment with a derogatory or superfluous remark is trolling. You are intentionally trying to get a rise out of people. That's the definition of troll.

Since you just joined not long ago I can tell you Daily Paul doesn't stand for Ron Paul. It's about Peace, (Au)Gold, and Liberty. It even says so in your browser tab.

So yes for your stupidity all I have to say is. Stop trolling.

So.. let me get this straight

So.. let me get this straight. The owner of this site and myself are trolls for saying Rand Paul is divisive? You in the meantime are intelligently proving my point.

Don't feed the troll folks

I made that mistake.

You really are a sad person.

You really are a sad person. People are allowed to say things like choosing principles above politics and calling out people for being divisive you know. Now look at my posts and try and find anything hateful about Rand. Maybe it's you feeding the trolls? I'm saying steer clear of the Rand stuff, it really is tiring!

I fully expect a number of Rand bashers....

... to remain active on the Daily Paul into the indefinite future.
After all there is still the "danger" that we might actually take control of the Republican Party, elect more good congressman and U.S. senators, and actually field a viable presidential candidate in 2016.

But our opposition (and their witting or unwitting puppets within our midst) are going to do everything in their power to get us to schism into a thousand powerless splinter groups.

Anyone who relentlessly demands ideological purity and a godlike consistency in our liberty candidates and leaders is either incredibly naive or a mole.

Anyone who keeps dredging up the same tired grievances about Rand or has a hissy fit every time he cooperates with any establishment politician should cause our antennae to quiver.

People who continue to bash Rand, Jack Hunter, and Doug Wead (especially if they insist that we all join in on the bashing) are definitely going on MY watch list.

The Virtual Conspiracy

WE don't care...

Rand is already finished. That's just stating the obvious. If you don't understand why, ask Mitt Romney what happened when HE messed with us...

Put Me On Your Watch List Too!

Anyone who could have been that disloyal to his own father does not have my respect.

And to 1) Announce it on the Sean Hannity Show......after Hannity had been so discounting of Ron Paul his father, was totally unacceptable

2) His timing was, IMHO, put the breaks on the momentum when. Ron Paul was surging.

3) Anyone who would do that to their own father can not and will never get my vote.........what do you think he would do to us. It shows a total lack of character. Something most of us here are fed up with.

Finally, who are you to start a "Watch List?" Is that not exactly the tyrannical stance that we are fighting aginst.

You can take your damn watch list and stuff it as far as I am concerened.

Then put me on your watch

Then put me on your watch list and check this site owner's comments. 'Ron Paul has united us and Rand Paul has divided us', Michael's words, not mine. This is the Daily Paul, go and invent the Daily Rand if you must but don't accuse others because they have principles you don't adhere to!

watch list?

what are you the TSA?

when this become the daily rand i'm outta here me.

Davy, Jake and Reenie..

Thanks for making it easy.
Maybe this will never be the Daily Rand. Maybe that's just as well. It might be time for a different format using collaborative filtering ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Collaborative_filtering ) that would keep us all out of each others hair and make for a more constructive forum.

The Virtual Conspiracy

Watch lists? Collaboritive

Watch lists? Collaboritive filtering? Sure sounds like a nice constructive little website you are hankering after. Good luck with it spacehabitats, pop back here anytime to give us an update on your little slice of heaven!

Let the tyrants be tyrants...

But DAMN every one who acts like this and treats people like this, using RON PAUL'S name to do so!

That goes for anyone and everyone who deserves to hear it!

Nobody in 2016.

Nullify D.C. forever.

This is why it was such a good move for Rand Paul to endorse

Romney. It was pure genius. We will be glad he did come 2016. Wake up and smell the coffee peeps.

Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom must. like men, undergo the fatigue of supporting it.-Thomas Paine

The R3volution requires action, not observation!!!!

How so?

How so? By endorsing the flip-flopper he displayed a lack of principles and lost the moral high ground. He showed that political grandstanding and partisan politics are more important to him than standing up for what's right. He proved that the apple can indeed land far way from the tree.

Dr. No has left the building.

We lost nothing

We lost nothing and gained a LOT. We lost nothing because Romney still lost. Rand took a gamble and it paid off. He gains influence and we gain in roads, while sacrificing nothing.

His endorsement secures the prevention of a gotcha moment by the establishment and some of you are hating on him because his strategy worked? Seriously? He may have just single handedly prevented a Rubio / Ryan ticket.

He criticized Romney for his faults

He didn't go out and tow the line for Romney 100% - he criticized him on important points...

The apple fell right beside the tree dude.

No The Apple did not

fall beside the tree!

Name one really important issue he criticized Romney on?

Did you see Ron Paul endorse Romney? Did you see Ron Paul campaign for Romney?

What you trying to do here double speak. Up is down, war is peace......your post shows shades of 1984 and sadly you are not even aware of it!

oh yeah

he was "dismayed" about something mittens said, but not a peep about his horrible foreign policy,
and he actively campaigned for him.

others endorsed too, but campaigning! give me a break.

Hope Rand Paul changes his tune...

Right now I'd vote for Justin Amash, Tom Woods, Peter Schiff, Andrew Napolitano, or Gary Johnson again for president in 2016 before I'd vote for Rand Paul.

We all want progress, but if you're on the wrong road, progress means doing an about-turn and walking back to the right road; in that case, the man who turns back soonest is the most progressive.

I can agree with almost all your candidate picks except

Mr. 1% Johnson Matt. He's a scoundrel. And I would take any of your picks over Rand.

This article was on Gary Johnsons official 2012 campaign website.

The Pragmatic Libertarian

As we pleaded for it to be removed what was done?It was put it on his facebook page complete with the word racist that was a hyperlink to this "newsletter expose" on Ron Paul. http://www.tnr.com/article/politics/angry-white-man

How soon you people forget.

RPF Article

And that was after Ron Paul endorsed Gary in 2011 before Ron entered the race. Gary has never apologized for this to my knowledge and I think it really hurt Ron that he would stoop that low to try to make himself appear a better candidate than Ron and providing links to the famed "racist newsletters" on his campaign website.

And that I surmise is why Jesse Benton stated unequivocally that Ron will not endorse him.

Just How Libertarian is Gary Johnson? (interview with Bob Wenzel)

November 6th 2012 I voted for Dr.Ron Paul
"We must remember, elections are short-term efforts. Revolutions are long-term projects." ~ Ron Paul

Rand for Senate 2016

Does Kentucky have the same rule as TX? We need to keep Rand in the Senate where he can continue to put checks and balances on bad legislation and slow the loss of our Liberty.

We need good, smart people to run for local, state and federal office so we can continue to change the RNC and the Republican Party. We need to continue our work at the lowest levels of the party and fill the state legislatures and congress with supporters of Liberty and the rule of law.

The new RNC rules will freeze out both us and RAND from the 2016 convention.

did you not...

read the article? the first paragraph?

Nope, sorry Doug. There was

Nope, sorry Doug. There was only EVER one man and his name is RON Paul. As the owner of this site has already stated, Ron Paul united us, Rand Paul divides us. END OF!!!

I'm not sure where I stand on Rand yet

but, Ron Paul is not going to be the leader of this movement forever. Eventually there will have to be someone else. Rand may or may not be a good choice, but it won't be Ron Paul.

don't be an ageist

Not saying anything about 2016

I'm responding to this statement:

"There was only EVER one man and his name is RON Paul."

Eventually, he's not going to be able to lead this movement.
