Doug Wead: Rand Paul 2016

For Republicans, there is a silver lining to the re-election of Barack Obama. The door is now open for real change in 2016. The recently adopted Romney Rules at the RNC, which would have locked out any true democratic participation and guaranteed eight more years of GOP establishment, top-down, Brahman-style, domination, are now moot. The gate is open...

you'll be voting for Rand Paul in 2016. guaranteed.

As you'll be on the Daily

As you'll be on the Daily Rand by then, you'll never know will you?

But he's right, you know Rand

But he's right, you know Rand is the most liberty minded Senator and if he runs in 2016 with a good shot of winning, you know you'll vote for him. Just saying, you're kind of being divisive with your post, right?

You have just proved the point of my original post.

So if Rand Paul had a good

So if Rand Paul had a good chance of becoming President in 2016, knowing the stances he has now, you still wouldn't vote for him?

Wouldn't you like to vote for

Wouldn't you like to vote for someone who does not sell-out on his principles i.e. Ron Paul? Rand is a politician who will say anything to get your vote, if indeed he is even bothered about your vote -there is the difference.

But look at how he votes:

But look at how he votes: http://votesmart.org/candidate/key-votes/117285/rand-paul

I know the endorsment pissed you - and many others - off but you can't deny that his voting record (which really counts) is very good. Lol I mean look how KY's other Senator voted:

Great! Choose compromise over

Great! Choose compromise over principles, that will get you far as a politician. Go Rand! So no, it isn't just a case of being pissed off!

So then how he votes means

So then how he votes means nothing to you? Dude, you're not thinking logically about this.

Rand has alienated the social

Rand has alienated the social libertarians with his idiotic comments like his "joke" that Obama's views on marriage are "totally gay." He has hitched his star to the worst jingoistic elements in the GOP.

Come on man, who hasn't said

Come on man, who hasn't said something was "gay" before. That doesn't mean that Rand hates gays or that he would stop states from allowing gay marriage. Answer me this - would you rather have Rand in the Senate or not? And if not, please explain how the Senate would be better off without him.

Brand Paulers

rationalizing betraying their conscience like Romney supporters, the transformation is complete.

Stop Rationalizing

what Rand feels about gays or what he does not feel about gays. You don't know and when you rationalize like your post just did .......you are telling rational lies!

FDR stated that in politics "there are no coincidences!"

Rand knew exactly what he was doing when he made that statement......something his father would not have done.

It wasn't just a joke. He

It wasn't just a joke. He then added some evangelical boilerplate that heterosexual marriage was the foundation of western civilization of something....total pandering. Now....Rand can still redeem himself but he needs to break from these folks (who justly got hammered last night) and break from the Israel firsters like his pals Hannity and Beck. I'm not holding my breath.

I'm in.

Free market capitalism isn't right for America because it works better. It's right because it's free (and it works better).
