Alex Castellanos (CNN) just said the Ron Paul movement is the future of the GOP

CNN's Republican strategist Alex Castellanos pretty much just told Anderson Cooper that Ron Paul's ideas and his young supporters are the future of the Republican Party! He also said Republicans need to embrace limited government across the board, not just when it benefits Republicans. Did anyone get the video?

Yeah

I just saw Rudy saying some BS about how the GOP needs to be more moderate/libertarian, which i agree but still

no Castellanose

We need to depower these guys

It seems like everytime they say one positive thing about liberty movement everyone goes wild. The media doesn't care and now that the election is over they're conceding Ron Paul was right and liberty is the future. Fuck them, stop watching MSM and depower those damn liars. As far as I am concerned, anything they say has zero credibility. If I have to watch "news", I'll stick to Ben Swann. Probably the only media personality who can call himself a journalist and keep a straight face. Keep up the fight in your city and state elections.

Yup, nothings gonna change

Yup, nothings gonna change with the media... they may change strategies from time to time, but they still want the same thing.. FOR AMERICANS TO BE IGNORANT OF THE TRUTH. Do not underestimate the power of the media. We need to pull American's away from the msm.

Can the highjacked tea party conform to liberty?

Hmm, time will tell. The Paul R3volution is the future!!! They were too stupid to figure it out, a little late for now.

TEA Party Hope

I've always considered myself sort of both TEA Party and Ron Paul R3volution ever since I learned about Dr. Paul. I hadn't ever been exposed to liberty movement people/ideas really, and when the TEA Party started it was making a lot of sense (and attracted both Democrats and Republicans, by the way).

Hopefully enough TEA Party people can wake up in time for next Congressional cycle. Lots of state governments in play too and could be a real win for liberty.

Theyre going to play a shell

Theyre going to play a shell game where they give us trickle down economics packaged as "libertarian" while they keep their warmongering and civil liberties assaults.

Ventura 2012

Could very well be

They could stretch out their control for another 4 or 8 years offering us a bone or two. They would prefer for their zombies to keep things balanced but, if needs be, they will try to pacify the liberty movement by whispering sweet things in our ear.

Which is why we need the old GOP folks on our side

Tea Party types could be persuaded against NDAA, and support declaring war in congress while Obama is currently president.

They also support constitutionalism and federalism. In fact more Americans than ever will support state and local power once Obamacare gets real. Now is THE TIME to build a coalition to significantly change the balance of power in our society against the federal government.

In time TSA, Agenda 21, endless war, endless tax, capricious regulations, all that can be actually fought and attacked. These are things Americans generally don't like. The GOP likes these things.

We can kill the GOP, and turn the 2 party system from liberal/conservative to liberty/statist. Then liberty will win out of sheer economic reality.

I've proposed a new political party that people could create and join INSTEAD of the GOP:

Actually the war is an issue

Actually the war is an issue we cannot compromise on because it makes it open season as far as deficit spending and the bill of rights. It is the #1 issue.

Ventura 2012

We can compromise on the

We can compromise on the constitution.

No NDAA, No drones, something better than Gitmo (without it having to be a NY City kangaroo civil trial).

Only go to war with a congressional declaration.

The GOP WON'T support these policies but a large chunk of GOP voters would.

And, in fact, the halls of congress is a much better place to debate war vs. peace than online forums.

They can try to go to war but if we all agree there must be a declaration then the debate will become very public.

You're assuming

that winning elections gives us the right to rule.

I'm assuming that the

I'm assuming that the constitution is the law of the land and elections give us the right to operate according to that law.

Basically, turn the power of the federal government against itself: use the constitution to dismantle federal power.

There's no other way to go towards a freer world. Any pending collapse is likely planned for by those in power and they will expand their power out of it. The people themselves are mostly fooled.

So while there's still a debate, and a constitution, we must take advantage and fight back.

Ron Paul saw fit to fight back from within the GOP. Now we take a step back, we reject the establishment, but fight from within the constitution. That fight is still there.

The important thing is that former establishment voters are ready to reject the old system as well.

He did indeed

He said Republicans would have to be fiscally conservative and libertarian on everything else, as Ron Paul represented, adding that this is where the youth segment is.

The two segments with Alex Castellano from tonight were posted immediately here http://ac360.blogs.cnn.com/

except that after listening to both of them I can't find the parts where he said this about Ron Paul, maybe they cut that section out before posting the videos.

Thanks. It's funny how they

Thanks. It's funny how they say fiscally conservative and libertarian on everything else. What they really mean is fiscally libertarian and socially libertarian. So it's libertarian on everything, haha. Oh well, we don't have to get bogged down in terminology.

Guilliani Video

Guilliani saying the GOP should be like him;
http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/politics/2012/11/07/ac-intv...

Someone should ask Guilliani, how is this any different than Romney? Romney did not RUN on a social conservative platform. He's ignoring the damaging effects of an interventionist foreign policy conflict with the message of REDUCING GOVERNMENT SPENDING. God he's dense!

Reading list

Guilliani has clearly not done his assigned reading.

It's also worth noting that

It's also worth noting that neither Romney nor Ryan were good fiscal conservatives. Republicans seem to forget about all of the fiscal spending they have done from bailouts, to education, to war, to medical care, etc. As well as their lose monetary policy evidenced by their appointment of Ben Bernanke.

and with patience.
I see the Young standing thier ground, and I actually feel like we struck a blow against the establishment. The wind today was cold, but, the sun felt warm and good, and so do I. We will win this it is inevitable.

If we trust

the same old political hacks to see the light and change we would be fools. The only thing the party will change is the rhetoric...they won't change a thing. We need to defeat them....somehow.

And then Cooper has Rudy

And then Cooper has Rudy Guliani on and he says his ideal Republican Party would be fiscally conservative and socially libertarian He goes on to say that kind of candidate would have won by 4%. Did we not try to tell these guys that? Better late than never I guess. And Rudy, we'd like a fiscally conservative party as well, no more parading a 26 year budget balancer who championed the wallstreet bailouts as fiscally conservative, okay?
