Will there be Civil War in the GOP?
Submitted by DJP333 on Thu, 11/08/2012 - 00:28In an appearance on a popular talk radio program Wednesday, Former Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain added fuel to the fire of “civil war” talk going on in the GOP. Although it’s clear that if there is a war, he’s claiming to be on the side of the rebels.
Cain states, “I never thought that I would say this, and this is the first time publicly that I’ve said it: We need a third party to save this country. Not Ron Paul and the Ron Paulites. No. We need a legitimate third party to challenge the current system that we have, because I don’t believe that the Republican Party … has the ability to rebrand itself,”.

I hate to nit pick after enjoying such a piece, though you may want to change

I'm sure you meant 'might'. :)
Another term for preventive war is aggressive war- starting wars because someday somebody might do something to us. That is not part of the American tradition.

... it's all about the "branding." Thanks, Herm. The GOP just don't have that good ol' name recognition or catchy phrase.
We need another party that's got ... BRAND! Yeah, that's it!
But not those Ron Paul folks ... what with their principles ... and talk of liberty ... and facts and evidence to back up their opinions ... and certainly we can't hear any of that moral case for free markets or anti-unconstitutional acts of war that make people around the world hate on the red, white and blue.
Nah ... we just need a good brand! Yeah!
