Jeb Bush 2016?

I've heard more than a few GOP pundits float Jeb Bush's name as a potential 2016 presidential nominee. Joe Scarborough (Morning Joe), for whom I have some respect for - WRT his political wisdom at least - has been pushing Jeb for a couple of years now.

I'm a realist - been following politics for more than 40 years now - and I think I have a pulse on what is possible and what is not, but maybe I've lost my touch, so I'm curious. Does ANYBODY here think someone with the last name of BUSH has ANY chance of gaining the presidency in 2016?

I don't care if they guy walks around with a noticeable halo above his head. If his surname is Bush, he's done. Am I wrong?

Whether it is Hillary or George P. Bush, or Jeb Bush

in 2016 the special interest groups will win again. How do we fight against the media, the wealthy elite, and rigged voting machines? How do you create an HONEST playing field?

No, No, No

Way!!!! What about Jeb Bush's policies makes you think he would be any different than his father or grandfather or great grandfather, and we all know what a disaster for this country they all were. I can not say NO strongly enough to Jeb Bush!

Why are so many here saying

Why are so many here saying things like this and downvoting? Y'all should READ the post. He didn't say JEB would be different; he is simply asking if JEB COULD win from a political science point of view.

depends on obama's performance over the next 4 years

if obama makes things worse and unemployment goes down further than people might think we were better of with a Bush. I think chances are highly against a Bush name though. people have an incredible short memory though and an ignorant level that surprises me every election. it depends if we start educating the masses or let them get led to the slaughter.

No, I don't think someone named Bush can win

at least not any time in the next 20 years. He could easily get the nomination though, if TPTB decide he is the guy.

This may be one time I agree with Jesse Jackson

When he said "Stay out the Bushes" LOL

Our best bet, I feel, is

Our best bet, I feel, is Andrew Napolitano/Rand Paul. Would pay to see the Judge in the debates. Anyone else is not as marketable and I dont see Rand as presidential material yet. My humble opin ion.

I was just thinking that myself

In that order. Rand has some making up to do, but he could make a good wing man and even President some day. I would trust Napolitano to give our soldiers orders. He seems to understand liberty and justice, and let him veto anything he sees fit.

Rand is deeply mortgaged

Not lost, quite, but mortgaged. After his preconvention endorsement of Slick Willard AND his failure to oppose sanctions on the Iranian market, he's got some 'splainin' to do!

I think they'll try their best to get Bush nominated

And they know VERY well that he'll lose.

It's all about keeping the biggest scumbag puppet in the positions that matter. Who else can they trust to stand in front of the cameras and pretend to run for President?

It's kinda like the Democrats and Hillary Clinton.

She's fully committed to evil. It doesn't matter who or what she is, just as long as she keeps throwing scraps to the covetous mob they're in the clear, President, head of the world bank, the sky is the limit when you're loyal to slavers and criminals.

Her skills don't matter. What she thinks doesn't matter. The only thing that matters is loyalty and discretion.

It's the hallmark of any criminal organization; do what you're told and keep your mouth shut.

I think it's been too long since we've had a president named

Chris Indeedski!

Daily Paul cured my abibliophobia.

Yeah, the Bush name is still toxic.

If he gets nominated, it simply means the GOP wants to throw the election again.

"Make the lie big, make it simple, keep saying it, and eventually they will believe it." -- Joseph Goebbels

Just leave it to the dumb-ass GOP to run a Bush again.

If they want to lose again - nominate Bush.

As if 2 Bush presidents haven't ruined our country enough.

BOTH of them should be charged with war crimes.

May we NEVER elect an ex-CIA head to the office of the president again.

We might as well have predicted 9/11 back when the 1st Bush won.

Is this a Troll post?

We don't need more Bush's at the White House! It's already hard enough to see what's going on in there.

Why are so many here saying

Why are so many here saying things like this and downvoting? Y'all should READ the post instead of skimming: Bush...2016...*DOWNVOTE YOU NEOCON TROLL* He is simply asking if JEB COULD win from a political science point of view; he nowhere in the post said he wants JEB to win. Perhaps YOU are the troll trying to create infighting based on inaccurate info.

Bush endorsement might have tanked Romney

Bush and Romney go way way back and are even neighbors in a caribbean island mansion block it is said. Bush are powerful behind the scenes in the GOP especially during the RNC the commentators said. I think it is a bad omen and hung over Mitt's head.

Courage is not simply one of the virtues, but the form of every virtue at the testing point.
C. S. Lewis

GOP, how in the hell would

GOP, how in the hell would Jeb Bush help to solve your shrinking tent problem? Honestly? How can anyone fall for this non-sense?

You mean another Bush won't

You mean another Bush won't energize the youth vote? I'll take Charles Krauthammer's word that he will. Whose up for a little USA chant?

The stinch of the war criminal Boosh is still lingering. We still have many shoes yet left to drop. The name Bush is toast for at least another 20 years. Hillary VS Rand Paul in 2016.

Hillary will be hard to beat

Hillary will be hard to beat if she runs. Lets hope she just retires.

How many times can they retread that tire? Must be some machine. Can you picture it, another Bush and another Clinton rolled out on the showroom floor.

Tire Retread & Repair Information Bureau. A look at retreads.

For man or woman, retreading is safe & economical. Jeb & Hillary are cold separately. Batteries not included.

The Voice of Retreading

Myth: There aren’t any standards that control the quality and safety of retreaded tires.

Fact: Yes, there are. Passenger, light pick-up, and 4x4 tires are retreaded according to standards established by the U.S. Department of Transportation and carry a code number (**) on the sidewall indicating where and when the tire was retreaded. Due in part to the standards established by the truck tire retread industry, the U.S. Department of Transportation has not developed regulations for manufacturing retreaded truck tires. The overall quality of retreaded truck tires has increased dramatically in recent years with the introduction of advanced technology, including the use of computers in manufacturing and non-destructive tire testing.

Myth: Rubber on the road comes from retreaded tires.

Fact: The rubber pieces you see on the road come from both new and retreaded tires in equal proportions to their usage on roads. Multiple Federal and State studies have proven this fact and that most of the rubber on the road comes from truck tires and is caused mainly by underinflation, overloading, and tire abuse.

Myth: Retreaded tires are not as safe as new tires.

Fact: Retreaded tires as just as safe as new tires. Adjustment percentages of retreaded tires are about the same as new tires. Statistics compiled by the U.S. Department of Transportation show that nearly all tires involved in any tire related accidents are underinflated or bald. Properly maintained tires, whether new or retreaded, do not cause accidents. Retreaded tires are used safely everyday by ambulances, fire engines, school buses, and aircraft.

What would the Founders do?

Yes, you are

The PTB love the Bushes. The lapdog media would treat any Bush candidate with respect and convince the couch potatos that Mr. Bush is a frontrunner. Then The GOP would steal straw poll, primary and caucus votes for him and the RNC would change the rules if they had to in order to nominate him. Then, Diebold would rig the voting machines in his favor. Hey presto, another president Bush!

My hopes for 2016 Candidates ; ) I think we'd be much better off with any of the above.

Ron Paul, personal choice but would take a Charles Goyette. Just want to see Jesse and Super man duke it out.

My take:

Neocons, establishment, mccain republicans... they would go for it.

bush sr. (who openly endorsed new world order), then bush w, not once, but TWICE.

I know a couple of guys at work who "hate obama" and have printouts hanging on their walls of bush w. with a big grin saying "miss me yet?"

But the GOP wouldn't be stupid enough to nominate him, would they? (Oh, I forgot, they're the GOP.)
