UN aims to override sovereign nations and their citizens rights to own firearms.

UN Arms Trade Treaty Gaining Ground As Globalists Scheme to Disarm the World

The UN General Assembly’s First Committee on Disarmament Meeting held this week decided that their plans for finalizing the Arms Trade Treaty (ATT) will culminate in March 2013. Supporting the ATT are countries like China, France, Germany, the UK and the US.
One hundred and seven countries across the world signed onto the resolution.

In June, Hillary Clinton, US Secretary of State has announced that the Obama administration is working with the United Nations (UN) to approve, through the US Congress; the ATT. Clinton affirmed that the US would facilitate talks with the UN in the Conference on the Arms Trade Treaty, as long as it “operates under the rules of consensus decision-making. Consensus is needed to ensure the widest possible support for the Treaty and to avoid loopholes in the Treaty that can be exploited by those wishing to export arms irresponsibly.”

The Obama administration is in full support of the ATT. Both Susan Rice, US ambassador to the UN and Clinton said in a letter that they “strongly urge the United States to take a leadership role in pushing for a strong, verifiable Arms Trade Treaty.”

More than 150 countries are represented at the conference where the UN hopes to finalize the ATT that will legally bind all nations of the world to their rules and regulations on gun control and individual gun ownership.

They'll try to get the Senate to ratify that crock of crap

and I've heard that whoever votes for it can technically be arrested and put on trial for treason. Although they are trying to say the ATT only affects international trade of firearms, and doesn't infringe upon 2nd amendment rights, the devil is in the details and it puts undue restrictions upon firearm ownership within the country with the excuse of achieving the international goals. Rand Paul Writes:
"Disguised as an “International Arms Control Treaty” to fight against “terrorism,” “insurgency” and “international crime syndicates,” the UN’s Small Arms Treaty is in fact a massive, GLOBAL gun control scheme.
If passed by the UN and ratified by the U.S. Senate, the UN “Small Arms Treaty” would almost certainly FORCE the United States to:
*** Enact tougher licensing requirements, making law-abiding Americans cut through even more bureaucratic red tape just to own a firearm legally;
*** CONFISCATE and DESTROY ALL “unauthorized” civilian firearms (all firearms owned by the government are excluded, of course);
*** BAN the trade, sale and private ownership of ALL semi-automatic weapons;
*** Create an INTERNATIONAL gun registry, setting the stage for full-scale gun CONFISCATION.
I'm sure I don't have to tell you that this is NOT a fight we can afford to lose..."

Something we need to emphasize ...

... the federal government only has powers delegated to it by the Constitution. No treaty can grant new powers to the federal government. The 10th Amendment does not make any exception for treaties.

Who will enforce it?

Hillary Clinton should be

Hillary Clinton should be made to register as an agent of a foreign power. But she is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to lack of loyalty to this nation among many in the Administration.

She should

borrow her bodyguard's 9mm and go into the bathroom and do the honorable thing.

Someone correct me if I'm

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but this treaty only deals with countries trading weapons...NOT firearm sales within any country to it's citizens.

"We will not accept any treaty that infringes on the constitutional rights of our citizens to bear arms," he said.

"U.S. officials have acknowledged privately that the treaty under discussion would have no effect on domestic gun sales and ownership because it would apply only to exports."...

I think the whole gist of the treaty is the US exports 40% of the worlds firearms with many other countries produce the other 60%. They are all agreeing not to sell to certain countries under certain conditions (terrorism, etc)

It begins this nation upon a new path.

First pass this. Desensitize. Then pass that.

Our nation was built of a Republic. We were supposed to embrace and spread freedom throughout the world, not curtail it.
