How We Got Screwed by Non-Voters, Libertarians, and “Principled” Conservatives

http://politicaloutcast.com/2012/11/how-we-got-screwed-by-no...
Even after reading this crap, Im still glad I didnt vote for Romney or Obama!

If it were not for Libertarians and people voting third-party on some mutation of a principle, then there would not currently be as big a perception that conservatism and Libertarianism is so wildly unpopular when the other option is socialism.

At this point I would like to extend a hearty congratulations to Libertarians and non-voting conservatives: my friends, you’ve contributed to your Libertarian and conservative dreams now having no chance of ever being realized.

If Chris Graham and the GOP

If Chris Graham and the GOP elitist did not want Obama to win, then they should not have nominated Obama's reflection as the candidate to run against Obama.

What did they expect the outcome would be of an election between Obama and a Republican reflection of Obama? - duh

It is the unprincipled, debt loving, constitution trampling, socialist, spendthrifts with no principles like Chris Graham and the GOP elite and neoconseratives that are to blame for this loss. Yet they blame the "principled conservatives" - the ones who rejected Obama completely in all his forms including the twin image of Obama wearing a Republican label.

Let it not be said that we did nothing.-Ron Paul
Stand up for what you believe in, even if you stand alone.-Sophia Magdalena Scholl

STEEL the nomination for a candidate nobody wants. (And that was

NEVER any secret.)

DITCH, ABUSE and INSULT the only potential nominee that brought young and excited voters in. (And that would be Ron Paul of course).

And then wonder why you lost.

Go figure.

Hey RNC: Can you say "short sighted arrogance"?

I KNEW you could.

So how has voting for neocons

So how has voting for neocons been working out for you? But in your twisted mind somehow it's everyone elses fault who knows better then to vote for those idiots... Sigh!

Liberty lovers who think taking over the GOP is the answer are just too lazy to put in the hard work to build a real party on real principle without all the GOP and LP baggage and stigmas...

A political party is a political party.

"Baggage" is irrelevant. Besides, if we tried to build another version of the LP, we'd end up bickering over that and end up creating three or four small, factional parties while the two major parties with the gulp of the media continue corralling the ihnorant masses to the polls.

Yea right thats why

Yea right thats why republicans lost again...Sigh!

Baggage is NOT why Republicans lost again.

Republicans lost again because the Republican establishment forced a liberal Republican on the electorate, thereby driving down Conservative turnout. Plus, Romney let Obama set the tempo, mainly because he didn't know how to defend the free market. Take the Lilly Ledbetter Act for instance. Obama gave women the impression that Romney would repeal it which would then open here door to massive discrimination agains women. Romney ran from he issue because he didn't know how to counter that. If he supported the LLA, then he in essence would be showing Conservatives that there really is no difference between him and Obama. If he opposed it, it would be political suicide.

An articulate, knowledgeable, fiscal Conservative would know to explain how laws like the LLA actually hurt women by causing male employers to avoid hiring women for fear of being hit with a lawsuit. It may help some women currently in the workforce, but, it indirectly keeps unemployed women and future women out of the professional workforce. "Baggage" is irrelevant if the Republican Party will learn Economics 101.

What a joke the republican

What a joke the republican party has had 30+ years to learn economics 101 they can't because they refuse to do so they have been compromised and corrupted.

When I first started telling people about Ron Paul back in 2007 (well actually in the 80's) but I digress people were all excited till they found out he was a republican and then they didn't care if I told them he was really a libertarian they shut down right then and there. So Yes the baggage is keeping millions for getting on the liberty bandwagon because it's trying to use the republican banner which is tainted beyond repair!

Jesse Ventura and Ross Perot proved a new party could be formed but did no follow up, its just nobody wants to do any heavy lifting it would take to do so. They want to ride the coattails of a corupted tainted baggage laden republican party and in case you haven't noticed IT AIN'T working!

The republican party is on the ropes there is no saving it but go ahead ride it off the cliff keep doing the same thing over and over and hoping for different results... You may get a few more election cycles out of it for congress if the economy lasts that long but the party is over now your just shewing last nights drunks out of the house and picking up the half full beer bottles and drink glasses to try and clean it up but it will never be viable again!

Do you know why people don't like the Republican Party?

It's not because of the GOP's foreign policy. If that were it, they wouldn't vote for Democrats. It's not because the GOP has gotten more liberal. If that were the case they wouldn't vote for Democrats. It's not because of the drug war, if that were the case, they wouldn't vote for Democrats.

The "baggage" that most people associate with the Republican Party is the stereotype that Republicans want to give rich people a tax cut, want to cut regulation on Wall Street, want to cut and eventually end anti-trust laws, want free trade so, corporation execs can ship "our" jobs overseas, want to cut regulations on business, want to let people fend for themselves in acquiring healthcare, want to rely on private charity to feed, clothe, and house the poor, want to repeal anti- drscrimination laws so, people in the private sector can go back to discriminating against minorities and women if they want to, and last but, not least, want to make abortion illegal in most cases.

Ron Paul wanted to do all of the above. The problem with the Republican Party is not the "baggage" that Democrats and "moderate" Independents associate with it, it's that the GOP refuses to actually carry through with the things they're accused of standing for.

Did you even read what he wrote?

Just sayen, sounds like he is on your side of things to me.

Apparently it is you who did

Apparently it is you who did not read what was said:

"At this point I would like to extend a hearty congratulations to Libertarians and non-voting conservatives: my friends, you’ve contributed to your Libertarian and conservative dreams now having no chance of ever being realized."

My bad

I made a reading mistake. You're right.

With GOP candidates like Romney

there is no point to having a GOP, so who cares if they lost.

It's been amazing to me how many 'blamers' have come out of the

woodwork since this election fiasco--

it's hard to be awake; it's easier to dream--

Guarantee none of the sheep

Guarantee none of the sheep spitting their venom at the Liberty voters have never investigated the FED or any of the other things Dr Paul speaks about
