Seriously folks... this is VERY GOOD for Ron Paul... he is beating Thompson and Ghouiliani IN MICHIGAN and he didnt spend much in this state either....
The media CANNOT spin this vote as bad news for Ron Paul....
This establishes him as a MAJOR FRONT RUNNER ---

Here are the combined vote totals for IA, NH, and MI:
Romney - 443,139 Total Votes – 36.89%
McCain - 361,546 Total Votes – 30.10%
Huckabee - 207,308 Total Votes – 17.26%
Paul - 84,554 Total Votes – 7.04%
Giuliani - 50,925 Total Votes – 4.24%
Thompson - 49,198 Total Votes - 4.10%
Hunter - 4,567 Total Votes - 0.38%
Paul is in a solid fourth, increased his percentage lead over Giuliani by 300% in Michigan, and should stay in fourth through SC and NV, where Thompson and Giuliani will close the gap in each state. In other news, the latest CNN/Politico/LA Times California poll has Paul at 8%, with no candidate garnering more than 20% in the poll. The poll had a huge margin of error (6%), which makes Paul and four other candidates technically tied in the Golden State.

We are sending many RP delegates to our State Convention where we will choose 2 more NATIONAL delegates. not to mention we are still working on educating the current delegates who are going to MN in Sept.... Don't forget... not all the delegates will have their candidates in the race when Sept comes... those votes are not wasted yet.

While I agree it's illogical to call him a front runner because Romney is the one in front, but he's no longer a fringe candidate. Who he's beating in the primaries is only part of this, money is the other part. He has the money for a fight that Huckabee, McCain and Giuilani with his poor turnouts can't compete with. One or all of these guys will be gone soon and the race will be down to Romney and Paul.
Hillary has been consistently strong on the democrat side and that's good for us too, because if Paul wins the primary he can win against Hillary. Let them talk about their records on the war. Let her talk about her plans for social programs and have Paul point out that with what Comptroller General David Walker is trying to explain to the country, that isn't going to happen.
We have hard work ahead but our position is more hopeful than weak.

may husband was telling me about it earlier today. He said he read it here and that there was a link on it, but I don't know where it is at. He said that West Va. was tired of teh other states having so much control over the elections so they went ahead and sent their delegates.

I am pretty sure that what that is, is at the county level they elect delegates who go to the state convention and duke out who to send to the National Convention. I think they can only give a few, but 17 out of the 32 delegates selected to go to state are RP supporters.

This is just FRIGGIN NUTS!!! I have been listening to Fox while typing on dailypaul.com for 2 hours - NOT ONCE have they mentioned Ron Paul.... lots of Guiliani, Lots of Thompson (in fact two interviews) and not one mention of Ron Paul's name...

I just watched my DVRd after-election coverage on MSNBC. No mention of Ron Paul. At the end Chris Matthews says OK, Mitt Romney won, now about the other 5, Romney, McCain, Huckabee, Giuliani and Thompson. Unbelievable! Are they owned by Fox?
On CNN at least they showed Paul on their pie chart in 4th.
