Something smells about the Petraeus scandal....

http://news.yahoo.com/feinstein-fbi-told-us-petraeus-1506501...

That Feinstein is a joke. This whole 'scandal' stinks to high heaven. All of this over a spy having sex with more than 1 woman? Don't tell James Bond.

Why does something tell me that the govt. has had the goods on Petraeus for years probably. This just pops up all of a sudden right after Benghazi?

Unless his girlfriend is an Iranian Spy, what's the problem? This is an issue between he and his wife. Why would he even volunteer up the info.? Why not just quietly step down? Oh...and I suppose this has nothing to do at all with his upcoming Senate hearings over Benghazi?

In the words of Ron Paul, "What's going on around here?"

I agree

And I'm really tired of these war criminals getting off with sexual misconduct.

We are the ones being screwed.

Indianapolis explosion, veterans day and this?

Could this be an explanation?

Kremlin's version of the story behind the "explosion." Rogue CIA drone seeks to target Defense targets was countermanded by US Airforce.

Intriguing explanation. There is something going on that the media is ignoring.

I would dare guess that Obama's bosses have told

Petraeus that he would need to lie, a lie in which he does not want to take part in since there might be evidence to the contrary that comes out after the fact. The best way to have deniability is to drop your position and hope that you do not get drawn in under oath. I dare say if they force him to testify his answers will be pleading the 5th and he could not do so in his position.

Rise of Another CIA Yes-Man [Morell, now acting CIA Director, 2012]

Burnishing an Image [of Super Yes-Man Morell]

However, you will get no indication of this troubling reality from the flattering, but thin, feature about Michael Morell, [Super Yes-Man Morell] “Mr. Insider Will Guide Petraeus at the CIA,” by Siobhan Gorman in the Wall Street Journal on Aug. 26. ...

In Tenet’s personal account of the CIA’s failures around 9/11 and the Iraq War, Morell – Tenet’s former executive assistant – ... Tenet puts Morell at the center of two key fiascoes: he “coordinated the CIA review” of Secretary of State Colin Powell’s infamous Feb. 5, 2003 address to the United Nations and he served as the regular CIA briefer to President George W. Bush. ...

So, Morell was there ... while Bush and his neoconservative inner circle were concocting intelligence to justify invading Iraq. Tenet credits Morell with suggesting to analysts that they prepare a report on the terrorist threat, which became the President’s Daily Brief that was handed to Bush on Aug. 6, 2001, at his ranch in Crawford, Texas. Bush brushed aside the warning with a reported comment to the CIA briefer, “all right, you’ve covered your ass,” and went off fishing. ...

Morell also was the CIA briefer with Bush in Florida on the morning of 9/11 when news arrived about the attacks on New York City’s Twin Towers. Later, Bush told Morell “that if we [the CIA] learned anything definitive about the attack, he wanted to be the first to know,” Tenet wrote...

Tenet also described Morell’s role in organizing the review of the
Morell, “intelligence” that went into Powell’s [Iraq War] speech, which let slip the dogs of war by presenting a thoroughly deceptive account of the Iraqi threat...

Well that's exactly what

Well that's exactly what happened. He was going to testify and now he's not. They would have to subpoena him and they don't have enough time to do that now.

Oh yes my precious, Gollum smells it.

Sam stinks, Master stinks, but we bears it. It's the only way through to the Black Gates.

Free includes debt-free!

He had to get out

before he would have to testify about what happen to that ambassador.

"We can see with our eyes, hear with our ears and feel with our touch, but we understand with our hearts."

He thinks himself a hero, falling on his sword for government.

Government will give him a medal to add to the fruit salad he used to wear to Congress.

Free includes debt-free!

I don't see how stepping down

I don't see how stepping down will keep him from testifying. Many non-military personnel are called to testify before Congress...not just the Ollie North types. Even Roger Clemens.

It Has been Reported

that Morell will be the one who will go to testify to congress.
