I Think Everyone Should Watch This Again...

...especially now that the election is over and everyone has cooled down. I re-watched it and picked up on a lot of things that I missed the first time.

When a Choir Becomes Cacophony

An interview is a reality. A place in time. Often worth re-visiting which is all Viper said.

I applaud the majority of posters who do not post the same things over and over because that shows they are open to new discoveries. Those who see a title and subject and due to prior fixations label it "evil or bad" to the extent that they cover their ears eventually become redundant. By their own admonition, they have nothing else to say...eventually nobody listens. The similarly un-liberated in thought may chime in with the same things they have said before. Post election, this is not the time to be fixated as a pebble in cement.

Thank you Viper. It IS interesting to re-visit. I have been thinking a lot lately about "choirs" which can be very enjoyable to belong to and, yet, the cacophony which usually results when there is no growth. I even looked up the meaning of "cacophony"

1. harsh discordance of sound; dissonance: a cacophony of hoots, cackles, and wails.
2.a discordant and meaningless mixture of sounds: the cacophony produced by city traffic at midday.
3.Music . frequent use of discords of a harshness and relationship difficult to understand.

Very Strange Down-Votes...

....for agreeing with Viper saying that he/she watched a video a second time and got more out of it and was encouraging others to do so?

....for supporting him/her because one poster took issue (cacophony) with the video being posted and was riled by its content?

.....for saying that it is great to be in agreement (choir being people in agreement) but it might be the time to suspend judgement ( ie re-watch Rand's fatal moment in time past) on all candidates and people in office...parties and party strategies...in order to re-check our own thinking just to make sure we are not in error?

......doesn't everyone want to continuously get new information so they are not saying the same things over and over??

I am truly at a loss. I have no idea what I said to offend anyone. And, in asking, I am certainly open to being told.

Don't Know If You Mean My Post or Your Video

I had not seen the video recently and was glad you posted it. I had never posted my comment before.

If you mean my comment:
Did you not see that I was supporting your article and condemning the comment that you called "barf" because I felt it was someone in an anti-Rand choir who wasn't even willing to consider what your post was about and the reason you posted it.

Sorry if you felt attacked by me...I was doing the opposite...supporting you.

LOL...I know I am sometimes clear as mud. It is what I have to work with and I try to communicate clearly, but sometimes fail miserably!

No Offense Taken...

...I did however get something totally different out of your post then you intended. Sorry... However I do not think this is revisiting old times and a dark moment in Rand Paul's career. He talks about all that he did for his father with years of campaigning and knocking on doors to help him in his congressional races. I meant it more as a tribute so people could see how close he really is to his dad, not as much as remembering the endorsement.

I barfffffed...

When he said "my endorsement means different things to different people"...True, but not for Real Ron Paul Supporters, RAND!
This simply shows how much he ISN'T like his father...No integrity, not principled...not consistent (except in his lack of inconsistency....)

this barf of yours must of

this barf of yours must of made you shut the video off obviously. You must have missed the best part.

Thanks for posting this

I hadn't heard it before. Just 2 points:

1. If Rand had waited until Romney had actually gotten the nomination, I wouldn't have had a problem with it. But he jumped the gun by at least 2 months which needlessly offended his father's supporters, and it possibly damaged RP's campaign.

2. If Romney had attained the nomination fairly, again, I'd have no problem with Rand's strategy. But Rand knows very well that Romney "won" by cheating his father, right up to the rules changes at the RNC. He went on to campaign for the guy who stole the nomination from HIS OWN FATHER.

Sorry, but when you keep the facts in mind, Rand's explanation just doesn't hold up. I hope he continues to do some good in the senate, but I'd never trust him enough to support him as a presidential candidate. He did that to himself.

I agree 100%

Rand endorsed Mittens way too soon.

If Mittens had won fair and square, I might have thought about voting for him.

But things being as they are, I voted GJ. (or "none of the above")

He jumped the gun because

He jumped the gun because they told him that Ron was not going to be elected. They chose Romney.

Could be

But as a new Republican who signed the loyalty oath to become a national delegate FOR RP, Rand's endorsement woke me up, and I don't think I was aloine.. I watched Ron Paul ast like he had no loyalty oath and thought I could do what Ron Paul did.. but Rand woke me up. I was like WTF? And then I saw the GOP fully intended to cut Ron Paul delegates for the loyalty oaths.. so to me.. what Rand did was wakr up those of us who signed loyalty oaths, and by doing that, he spared delegates for Ron Paul who would have been outted thinking they could do what Ron Paul does, endorse who HE likes, not who the party forces him to vote.

It's funny that I get down

It's funny that I get down voted for speaking the truth. We're not going to get anywhere if we aren't willing to hear the truth.

They could destroy Rand in the senate if did not not endorse Romney. Use your heads people!

Not referring to you Granger.

I don't think it's funny

I up vote and agree with you frequently (((((Unknownuser))))))

Those of us who are willing to hear and speak the truth will always get downvoted by those who loathe and fear the truth.

Just remember Unknownuser, Ron Paul is a huge learning curve from constitutional law, GOP, what is the federal reserve bank, sound money, Bill of Rights, just for starters. Some of us are years ahead and still we know we have a ton to learn.. so, those who are eager and willing to hear and speak the truth, are on your side, even when the votes don't show it..

least we forget, I believe I am the most downvoted member of DP at this time, and all it tells me is we have a lot of work in front of us. Good work. :))

Granger

Guess what. My local party is changing and I am helping it! It's awesome!

I thought I was the most down

I thought I was the most down voted! For a while I was getting paranoid...is someone following me? Could it be that I have my very own troll?

Then you get used to it. It only stings for a minute. Besides, I'm not here to,be popular. Just trying to work out some ideas.

Nah.... The Granger's got you beaten in a landslide.

Then again, she's been here longer than you have. Both of you are intelligent people who are strong in your convictions. I enjoy reading your posts and comments and usually agree with both of you on most things. Others who down vote you, imo, are either young and inexperienced or just haven't thought things through yet.

But, yeah, The Granger's got you beat. LOL

I Agree With Most Of What Granger Posts Too...
