Mitch McConnell is a Big Loser

WASHINGTON, Nov 12 (Reuters) - U.S. Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell set two top goals for the 2012 election: a Republican takeover of the Senate and the defeat of President Barack Obama.

He achieved neither.

Starting in January, he will be up against a president he tried and failed to bring down, with a Senate minority weaker by two.

"We all had a bad day," said Josh Holmes, chief of staff of McConnell's personal Senate office.

While there is no sign of any immediate threat to his job as minority leader, McConnell is facing intensified criticism from the right, which has seen him for some time as too "establishment."

McConnell blocked much of Obama's agenda the past two years, including his call to increase taxes on the wealthiest Americans. But some conservatives complained that he was not sufficiently hardline. They were outraged, for example, when he compromised with Obama and agreed to increase the debt limit in 2011 and extend a payroll tax cut.

Ditch the Mitch

I remember when he went to extreme measures to keep Rand from becoming a senator in Kentucky. It was very ugly. Many attacks against Rand Paul by Mitch he backed Tray Grayson . Mitch was nasty towards Rand. Now Rand sings Cumabya with Mitch.I could never figure out whats up with that.I do not trust Rand after that.

Money talks and dogs bark

Rand does not sing Cumabya with mitch

Good work, Miguel. This story was written like this is 'new' news. It is not. McConnell was a loser from the get-go.

I need to reign in you "down-with-them-all" RP types.

At the Tampa convention, in the Ron Paul tribute video, McConnell did lend his face and name into that work that the whole delegation watched. So, I wouldn't be so adament to replace him, especially if a liberty candidate means the election of a Democrat.

Are you freaking kidding? Mc

Are you freaking kidding? Mc Connell went all out against Rand Paul and only backed him at the bitter end when he had won the nomination. He is no friend to our candidates and is a snake. Every one of these neocons that we can replace with one of our people is a major victory.

So yes, down with them all. If they are for the patriot act, the Fed, the TSA, wireless tapping, drones, indefinite detainment, and all the GOP shenaningans...we don't need em!

I think you need a kick in the ass if you think you're going

to pass off McConnell as anything but a neocon piece of shit.

If McConnell was drowning after falling out of my boat, I'd use the oar to push his ass away from safety. If by some chance , you were along and decided to jump in and save him.. both of you would pay hell trying to get back to my boat.

Just saying.

get on board or get rolled over.

"The two weakest arguments for any issue on the House floor are moral and constitutional"
Ron Paul

Any Ron Paul Republicans in Kentucky

Any Ron Paul Republicans in Kentucky that could primary mitch mcConnel?

You have asked a Very Relavent Question. The Answer Is ...

... That is why he hired Jesse Benton. To Stop a grassroots primary run.

A coralary is that McConnel will also need Rand Paul for cover and that will give Rand a small bit of more power in the Senate for the next two years.

So allthough he 100 pct deserves to be primaried the tactical political answer could be that he is more valuable to us as Senate Majority leader and Rand Pauls friend from Kentucky.

The GOP Senate got Slaughtered this past tuesday

The GOP Senate got Slaughtered this past tuesday, Alot of mainstream Republicans are holding mitch mcConnell to blame. The U.S. Senate is even more in the minority.
