I was reading this older prediction regarding money, and wondering, how much should we be looking to raise for Ron Paul for real? I am asking sincerely, because we are talking about money. If we know how much, (or like how much the others have to spend) maybe we will all be on the same page with fund-raising. But if this is like a private number or something, then forget I asked. I'm in for the long haul. It is going to be a brokered convention, that I really believe. He has beat Rudy or Thompson in every state thus far. If he had been given the media attention they have ALL received he would have already blown all of them out of the water. Win or lose I support RP, his ideas are what makes this place a great country. Perhaps more money will do the trick. So far we haven't done bad for a "grassroots" campaign, hang in there guys. We have truth on our side.

PROVE IT TO ME - Prove to me, with MORE than fuzzy math - that we are STILL IN THIS - because so far what you say in your post does not convince me, not even 1%. And if you are asking this huge leap of faith from me - you need to give me MORE - because you are not a deity - you are a faceless poster - and maybe you have many lovely qualities, and are smart, etc. But for the sake of this argument, who are you? i am sorry if you are a person of some authority - i don't know you.

Yeah, when i read it back, i realized it was too harsh - i did have an intent - but it came off wrong. So i will say 'i am sorry' again here.
Let me just explain quick - today i talked to like 3 people who are losing steam - want to quit. And what i was trying to do is say, "people may need more than this" - honestly, i am really worried that people are going to give up for real. What you call a rant - i have heard from other people. I was actually attempting to get FACTS other than the bit about running out of money. In other words, if i play devil's advocate, IF you can get past the anger i set into it (with purpose, again) what do I SAY to my friends who want to quit? I know, i should not have to worry about that - but it is true - some people have weaker stomachs, you know? I was out there today in the cold - and i will keep going. But i also have a serious question:
How do we KNOW we will have results - and for example, do we have figures on return on investment with the slimjims? So, forgive me please, i was NOT trying to be that MEAN - i am not mean or angry - rather i just feel people are going to need more. And i also have to ask - WHEN will we start turning it around. I mean, if i could even tell my three friends when - i would feel better.

When i "go off" i usually put OP ED at the top, meaning "devil's advocate" - i realize not everyone thinks in newspaper terms. But you know, there is no nice and indeed no clinical way to refute that sentiment, is there - maybe that is the thing to understand. Another thing that is interesting to me - people tend to broaden these discussions to include the entire movement of taking back America, and truly, this is a long haul proposition. I find myself now contemplating the separation of these two concepts versus the intertwining of them. We seems to drift back and forth. Yet I think it is too late for such convergent / divergent thinking. I am hallucinating at this point.

Ricky, i had not seen this one, so i thank you for it. Maybe this is something that needs addressing - how to keep motivation in people who don't often tell you they are losing steam, when "faith" is not enough. I will say this, I was always a faithful person - i would not ride across the country on a Harley all alone unless i had faith. But some people would not do that. For some people, these articles are really necessary, and so i really appreciate a serious answer to my dilemma, and i am glad you guys TOLD me how horrible my post was! Thank you guys for being my friends on that note and special apology to SGP - i should have apologized to you by NAME the first time.

Please keep a cool head too guys, the site seems full of trolls tonight with the sole intent of damaging Ron Paul support. Some are even spreading lies like Ron's using our money to get re-elected into congress, and there's just no way he'd do that. Dr Paul's not that kind of guy, he's in this for us, not himself. There's really no other candidate that we can say that about. Please hold strong, friends! We really do have a shot, it's not hard to believe after the numbers in Michigan.
I'm expecting everything to go wild on 'Super Tuesday'
and am secretly hoping that TEXAS will be a swing State :) Here in Texas we feel a little frustrated only having our primary on March 4th. Give us the swing and we'll swing BIG for Dr. Paul!

I had my time of licking my wounds and feeling sorry for myself but that isn't going to save our country. Remember our founders and the battles they fought. The first order of business is to do whatever we have to do to get Dr. Ron Paul elected. I never was in the military but one of my bosses was a Cobra helicopter pilot in nam and he taught me to never give up no matter what the odds. Well to my Surprise he was right. I did many projects that I thought there was absolutely no way we would finish in time. Afterwards he would just laugh at me. I always finished on time.
