Ron Paul to deliver farewell speech this week

Ok I admit I cried...a lot but I'm also happy because he is finally getting away from the crooked politicians. I think he was one of the most decent politicians in American history but I'm not sure if I can call him a politician, he always seemed more like an activist, a hero to me. He fought hard for the country and he earned his retirement. Thank you Dr. Paul for everything you've done. Now go fire up the college campuses, young people need you. I'll download this farewell speech and will listen to it again and again.

I sure wish he had someone that could step into his shoes and continue on, maybe a son would be nice.

...we all feel that, we all anticipate it. What will it be and will it be televised and discussed? Will it become public. Will there be those who pay homage and and thank Dr. Paul on the floor. Or will it just be giving him his time one last time?

We will see! I anticipate, and hope for, the kind of strong speech we have all been stirred by but with a new slant. I expect him in brutal terms to tell the Republican Party the only way they can save themselves, become again relevant, stand for the people. I expect him to also tell them how they must reach out to the real needs of the people whether those people are aware of the dismal trajectory we are on or not. I expect him to say that the time is ripe to become one people, not one party, for liberty.

After all, he is a Republican Congressman saying goodby to a Republican body. It should be interesting.

One little man. A lone voice. So much energy channeled against him. Ron Paul should be our President. He should have been elected in 2008, if not before. Our country, and the majority of our citizens are sick. No one wanted to hear the truth of reality. That made Ron Paul a faily unpopular potential leader. No drunk likes to hear the "last call" from the bartender. Obviously, the real reason for the calculated temperment towards Paul came down from way, way above...the goons that run and control the Federal Reserve were not about to have any of this Ron Paul. The willy nilly press gleefully plays along. They're owned by the same folks who have their snout in the Federal treasury up to the hilt. It was an easy game plan for them to discredit Ron Paul. Americans don't get it, and probably never will. Our government is run by outlaws. I still think Ron Paul could have overcome the media puppets with the right campaign team and strategy. People don't like being duped, the the shame of it is, they don't know their being duped. It looks like it'll stay that way for a while.

Dr. Paul's departure from congress in 1985 was a bitter pill for me to swallow back when I lived in Waco, Texas. Yep, the good doctor's constituency snaked up the Brazos river from the Texas gulf coast all the way to Waco back in the day. I had only just started paying attention to Dr. Paul in 1984 when he took on incumbent senator Phil Gramm, though I already knew my congressman from visits at his office in Galveston and San Marcos. So, when he left congress the following year, I was bummed.

Twelve years later, I was beyond ecstatic when Dr. Paul returned to congress in 1997. I was living in Washington state at the time, so I made plans to move back to Dr. Paul's district ... back HOME!

Then I discovered how grossly distorted Dr. Paul's district had become after the gerrymandering performed by Tom DeLay and his cronies. Talk about a gut-wrenching feeling. I still moved back to Texas, but not in Dr. Paul's district anymore ... though his service to our county and local communities is not forgotten, even by Democrats.

Somehow, though, I am not feeling the same dread I felt when Dr. Paul departed the swamp in D.C. all those years ago. I have so much more hope for our future than I have ever had, despite the dark days on the immediate horizon.

Thanks to all of you DP members and the community assembled under Manystrom's digital roof, I have real confidence in a greater awakening and a more honorable approach to self-governance.

I am REALLY, really looking forward to Dr. Paul's farewell speech because it signals a new beginning for all of us.

Only time will tell just what it is that Dr. Paul got started... and I am sure looking forward to what he does with his "free time."

In this case the "colleagues" are all traitors who have buried America in debt to a point of no return. We WILL continue traveling down the socialist/fascist path.

They have shown they can kick aside any hope of a fair election. That was proven beyond any doubt this year and now with Dr Paul gone from rhe "house of representatives" there's nobody left as the saying goes.

G-d bless you Dr Paul, in my mind at least you're president
