first reports were that 80 homes were damaged in the blast

from the debris.

that's 8-0.

You know,

it's funny, when I saw the headline on msn.com, which was something like "Authorities Baffled over Blast," or some such thing, my first thought was that it was a government operation. My mind went right to that, and that was before I heard that feds took over the investigation.

It is possible

that it was a drone strike. Our government is using drones around the world, it is only a matter of time before the enemies our government makes use them against us.

I think it's interesting that your first instinct is

To suggest that if it were a drone strike, it was done by an enemy of this country instead of what is arguably the more realistic proposition that this country has decided to use drones against their enemies here.

It wasn't my first intinct

I am suspicious of everything our government does, and potentially does behind our backs. I am just saying if we didn't have enemies around the world before we started bombing the shit out of civilians, we certainly do now, thanks to our 'good' government. But it wouldn't surprise me to find out someone in our beloved U.S. gov agencies somewhere 'accidentally' or even purposefully dropped a bomb on our own citizens.

. Didn't mean to suspect you of . . .

whatever it was.

Me too

Upvotes for everyone!

Except for myself, that's weird.

I was thinking the same thing--

we must keep up the pretense that "terrorists" in other countries are *our* enemies; *our* government would never/could never hurt *us*.

Shortest Route to an Answer

Find out who lived in these homes and who they knew.

If it was a gas explosion it

If it was a gas explosion it would:
A) If it were a furnace exploding, it wouldn't have blown out the house then burned it downe.

B) If it was a gas 'line' rupture, it would have leveled houses on the entire street like in the San Bernardino pipe rupture incident in California.

Good catch.

Video: 2 killed, 80 homes affected after massive explosion in Indianapolis - Has the long warned of “drone war” inside America actually begun?
11/13/12 Gordon Duff (PressTV) 11/12/12 (CNN) -- It must be a bomb... Many American military, some retired but some actively serving, have displayed clear signs of treasonous disloyalty and the willingness to, not only overthrow the civilian government but to stage terror attacks inside the United States in concert with foreign intelligence agencies. This is not conjecture. One such potential attack may well have happened yesterday, perhaps a “test run.” The report of this wild conspiracy theory came to me from a retired Air Force pilot who flew nuclear-armed F-111’s for a living.
He indicated that the mysterious explosions that took place in Indiana yesterday do not pass the “sniff test.” The retired Air Force colonel responds below, one with top security clearances and a career of special operations behind him.
This is his assessment:
There are two people dead and they will not release their names so far.
The damage area looks like about 4-6 500 pounders, MK-82 Low Drag hard bombs or two 2,000 pounders.
The wife also said that there is a Russian neighborhood and the Arab neighborhood earlier mentioned very near to the explosion.
Eighty homes were somehow affected, said Adam Collins, the deputy code enforcement director for the city, causing an estimated $3.6 million in damage. Most of these had minor damage, in the form of broken glass, torn-off siding or garage door damage, that didn't make their homes uninhabitable.
Another 31 suffered what Collins called "major damage" -- meaning, for most of them, it's still to be determined if they can be lived in again. Inspectors know for sure that five cannot, as they are "either gone or will require a demolition."

Ya know, if war breaks out here, this is how it's going

to look at first - until officials and the media admit there is an actual war underway.

Not that this is what that is, but don't be surprised...

I would be interested in who was living there.

Bump for discussion. What do we know about the victims?

when this story was on yahoo, i was purusing the comments

Those left by the people who claimed to live in that neighborhood, portrayed a picture that was eerily similiar to that of a bomb.

one person said he was a neighbor that lived on the street noted that there must have been an extreme amount of heat. his garage door became severely warped right after the blast and wondered what the catalyst was that could cause that kind of heat.
