'Peace is a powerful message.' Ron Paul

Awww he looks really happy today. :)

“It is not our part to master all the tides of the world, but to do what is in us for the succour of those years wherein we are set, uprooting the evil in the fields that we know, so that those who live after may have clean earth to till." -J.R.R. Tolkien

He's probably still riding the high from his farewell address

yesterday. It said it all!

November 6th 2012 I voted for Dr.Ron Paul
"We must remember, elections are short-term efforts. Revolutions are long-term projects." ~ Ron Paul

Aand he's on.

Oh, and to be "on topic", I'd say I like Game of Thrones better simply because it correlated to the nomination race so well, what with the backstabbing and secret dealings. Pretty damn close to it at least.

Bump for Katniss Everdeen

(Off topic for this post, On topic for Katniss) I've had the Hunger Games trilogy sitting on my shelf for almost a year now, given to me by my sister for my birthday or christmas, I can't remember.

I finally decided to take a break from all my non-fictions, with the election being over and all, and started the Hunger Games on Monday. It is now Thursday and I just started Mockingjay, the final book.

Excellent trilogy so far! Perhaps I'll actually see the movie now, haha. Uprisings, Rebellions, and a Revolution against a Tyrannical State? My kind of series!!!! :)

I'm glad you like them!

It took me a while to get to the Hunger Games books after I got them too, but once I did, it took me a couple of days to read the three of them. I couldn't put them down.

You'll like Mockingjay. It is the most libertarian and anti-war of the three. :)

The movie is pretty good and I recommend watching it if you are a HG fan, but the message really doesn't come through as much as it does in the book.

I love the symbolism of the mocking jay

As you know, the Jabber Jay being genetically modified as a government spying weapon was made to not be able to self reproduce. Nature found a way around the government intent and the Jabber Jay mated with the mocking bird resulting in the mocking jay.

So I love the symbolism of the Mocking Jay being inherently rebellious to the governments wishes or nefarious plans. Thus, Katniss was labeled the Mocking Jay because of her rebelliousness and personal victory over the Capital and it's tyranny.

Ron Paul is the ultimate Mocking Jay and is a symbol for us all. But, I feel we are all Mocking Jays as we have not fallen in line and we are all in our own ways trying to fight the tyranny and control rolling out before us.

Mocking Jay's

Unite lol

Katness Everdeen is this little snot nosed punk

who is gifted with possibly a bit more perspicuity than I gave her credit for.

Be brave, be brave, the Myan pilot needs no aeroplane.

I find that highly

I find that highly controversial.
