NON CONCUPISCES

Thomas Woods

So when do we petition Jon Stewart to have Tom Woods on? The Judge is a lively guest but easily sidetracked because he has such a good time on the show. I really want to see a libertarian speaker of the caliber of Tom Woods debunk Jon's progressive fallacies for an audience of millions.

woods?

All woods had to do was raise money for Dr. Paul, and he couldn't even do that. He was too busy promoting himself, and that's why no one cares.

When did common sense become a super power? –Patrick F. Holman

oops....

Xdream, there are several bad apples in what Robert Wenzel calls "Ron Paul Inc." However, Thomas Woods is certainly not a bad apple. In fact, he its one of the strongest members of the liberty movement. He offers the virtual liberty classroom, provides his assistance to the Ron Paul Curriculum, has a daily podcast, writes a blog, fills in for peter Schiff on his radio show, contributes to the Ron Paul institute, Mises institute, writes great books, etc. Thomas Woods is one of my heros. If you are interested in Ron Paul, or the liberty movement, or the principles that are at the foundation of libertarianism, or Austrian economics, or central banking, or free markets, our civil liberties, I would strongly urge you to learn more about Thomas Woods and the countless, selfless contributions he has made and will continue to make to the liberty movement.

I'm sorry but you are going to have to provide sources for such allegations. From my diligent research, I've found Woods has more integrity than the entire Congress combined. Be careful on the DP and in life in general. I like how Chris Duane says, "Listen to All, Follow None."

But thanks for revisiting this post, as I always enjoy a good interview with the judge, telling it like it is.

Thomas Woods

Is an intellectual leader of the movement. One of the best read too.

He obviously didn't feel like working with people sabotaging the movement *benton*.

Great little closing line(s)

Great little closing line(s) there. XD

Also, yeah, it's sad that Stewart is a better source of news coverage than most of our news people.

When John Stewart questioned if poor people where very mobile

The Judge could have said, have you interviewed those crossing the border?

"Jon

i don't own the cameras or the microphones, if I did we'd still have Freedom Watch."

Candid moment from the judge. Video 3 minute 2:20.

"Only after a thorough investigation.."

isn't it ironic how the Stewart claims that the president and the white house deserves a thorough investigation into the whole CIA mess. This was the perfect time for the judge to bust out the NDAA bombshell. The white house has taken away our right to investigations or trials. So the president, who has taken the peoples' right to a trial, deserves an investigation? Completely illogical!

Thanks

.

Gotta love the Judge

What a laugh!

Best laugh ever

makes me crack up every time!

Open borders?!?

The judge has lost all of my respect. Maybe he doesn't see it as a problem coming from New Jersey, but in Southern California illegal immigration is out of control. People like the judge make me realize just how special and unique Ron Paul is, being right on ever single issue.

For shame judge, for shame.

Calm down

If you listen to Ron Paul the borders should be enforced.
but his answer was never filled with hate to his fellow mankind.

From Ron's Good-bye speech. I haven't read the whole thing but it all I could find.
"Why do we sacrifice so much getting needlessly involved in border disputes and civil strife around the world and ignore the root cause of the most deadly border in the world-the one between Mexico and the US?"

But coming and going aren't the issue.
The root cause of the deadly boarder isn't human!
Its "Prohibition" the war on Drugs.
Mexicans aren't coming here because no one is giving them jobs.
Hiring is the issue/and free stuff that is paid for by us the middle class worker.

Is is a sick persons fault that hospitals get paid full price plus for the emergency room or is that more government corruption.

I mean compassion is a great word. Look it up US has been great for years.. try to see it as a human from some else s view.

California isn't broke because of immigrants.. check the politicians and there donators you will find more money there

Think about it at some point didn't one of your family become the true hero. (unless he was native American)
A human who can't get enough to eat for his or her family.
Sets out on a journey to a land that doesn't even speak his language has to travel thru one of the most dangerous place in the world Mexico (the Police rob anyone that has money trying to cross into the USA ,some get caught be drug cartels made to do work growing marijuana or other labor things, then kill them so they can't tell).

personally I think the man that enures that for his family is a bigger HERO than someone that calls in a gunship or fly's a bomber,
that guy in the desert can't call in a medivac if he runs into trouble.

Humans we are all humans.

When Fox or the media make a big deal about ILLEGAL.. its to get you to take your eye off the real problem's.

OV

Just want what seems to be missing, Truth and Justice for ALL
What is fraud except creating “value” from nothing and passing it off as something?

Mmmmn no

I love the Judge but he's wrong on open borders. People should be able to emigrate legally like my family did, but criminals should not be allowed to pass.

It would be fine if your neighboring countries reciprocated, or if they also had the same constitution we did.

But I'm not pushing for one world government and open borders is just what the UN hopes will help their cause for it.

The judge loses your

The judge loses your "respect" merely because he has a different viewpoint than you on one issue?

You don't have any respect.

The Judge is against Nafta & Cafta

The Judge is against Nafta & Cafta, alot of immigration is the result of bogus trade agreements which drives immigration to the United States.

Have to disagree with you...

Like many planks of the liberty platform, the open border policy is at least highly inconvenient if not entirely untenable on a stand-alone basis if incorporated into our current societal framework. If you have a state that takes from some by force to give to others, then you should probably limit immigration as narrowly as possible to ensure that you are not merely attracting more recipients (ultimately, such an authoritarian state may have to limit emigration as well to prevent the exodus of net producers... another argument against closed borders). Moreover, if you engage in perpetual warfare and mass killing throughout the world, you would have to protect against the immigration of people who have been so radicalized that they only recourse they can seek is to enter the "belly of the beast" and bring about the greatest number of casualties possible.
On the other hand, if people were truly free and there were no magnets to attract those who seek to better lot, you would still allow the free flow of all of those who seek to better their lot by meeting the opportunities abounding in a free state with their willing to work.

Unlearning and self-teaching since 2008. Thanks, Dr. Paul!

Libertarian BLUE CARD solution to the border problem

How much reading and thinking have you done on the Blue Card?

I think the KEY to "getting it" is to understand that just like the "Drug War" is a govt created problem, so to is the issue of 'too many illegals'.

The next thing US citizens might like to know is this: There is no line. Often people say, get in line to enter the USA. There is no such line.

The beauty of the BLUE CARD is it solves the very problem that govt created in the first place.

The Blue Card is not a Green Card to citizenship. Its just a right of passage. Its a background check that one is not on the run, wanted for murder or theft and now has this ID to use inside the USA to live, work, and move about.

The interesting thing is its popularity. Americans living for years and years in Hong Kong and China enjoy something just like it. They are never required to enter as tourists and instead, keep their original citizenship. They do not have to "become" Hong Kongese or Chinese or Singaporean...to live and work there.

Yet here in the USA, if say an Italian guy came over on tourist visa, that visa is good for 6 months then they must leave. He can return for 3 months and then 3 months again. Finally the INS will stop and question why he is living mostly inside the USA. Does he have a job (tourist can't have one in USA). If he wants to be in the USA, this will force him to renounce his Italian citizenship and get a Green Card and then file for USA citizenship. America now has millions of these "reluctant Americans", people who did not want to do this but there was no other way.

You yourself may want to go live and work in Australia for as long as you like and still "be an American"... that is until the day that YOU decide to "be an Australian. Or you may be planning to move back to the USA or you may see no need to file tons of paperwork, hire immigration attorneys, and pay fee after fee in a long winded process that makes the DMV seem like "speedy service".

The world's governments OUGHT to all be adopting the BLUE CARD, that is if they believed in what they say. But instead, people are truly cattle to the National Farmer. And Farmers hate free ranging cows.

The beauty of the Blue Card is also its ability to regulate flow. The same number of people in Paraguay who want to go to say Peru, matches up the number of Blue Cards to be issued. If 9,000 seek Blue Cards to enter Peru from Paraguay, are there 9,000 seeking to go the other way? So there is a balancing. Not an over flow. Do you know how many USA citizens live and travel to Mexico? Its in the millions. The same can come here under a Blue Card system.

Again the Blue Card is a background check, an ID for use. It allows for the Free Flow of People, without people becoming a Flood or a drain.

Its time we all give it some thought. Imagine if lots of people in Indian and China wanted to get a Blue Card to live in the USA. Just what must China and India do to entice lots of Americans to travel there and get a Blue Card from them?

Give it some thought. Imagine it out. Imagine the incentives and pressures for peace such a free flowing immigration system would do in our balkanized world today.

Most of all think of what the human genome project is telling us. It is telling us that genetically, we are growing apart, not blending. This will make VDARE happy, but it should not. Sure , there is blending at the margins on Man's ethnic groups, but it too little and not enough. Imagine a balloon that is about to be Inflated. Now imagine the balloon with a big China ball and Indian ball and some smaller balls representing White Europeans, Hispanics, middle eastern Arabic, Persians, various African blacks, Eskimos, American Indians, etc. Mankind is dominated by two large ethnic groups, Chinese and Indians. Now as we inflate that balloon, all balloons grow bigger, but it is important to notice that they ALL GROW APART (yes except at some sides where blending does take place, but that is statistically insignificant.)

What is striking is that two ethnic races of Man grow even bigger than today and we all grow more and more apart. Other than those at VDARE, I think this is a dangerous and sad thing to happen. Hence, that is another reason why I like to encourage greater mixing via open borders and via the Blue Card system.

Yes..

My Italian family had to have a job, housing and a sponsor (since they could not speak the language) before they could apply for citizenship. There were no handouts.

If we remove the handouts for illegals, then more will come here for work, and not crime.

Ideally, open borders is a

Ideally, open borders is a good thing. Given the current state of entitlements/welfare benefits that illegal immigrants receive in California, it obviously wouldn't be a good thing. If all those benefits were thrown out magically, what exactly is wrong with open borders?

Exactly. There would be no

Exactly. There would be no mass influx of illegal immigrants if the Federal Government didn't a) give out free healthcare and education to any and all AND b)if there weren't so many federal regulations on working which creates a demand for cheap labor.

Regulations don't create demand for cheap labor,

markets do. Have you ever shopped around for a cheap lawn guy, plumber, or cleaning person?

I know plenty of immigrants. They do not clamor over the border for 'healthcare' and 'education'. They have no idea what 'healthcare' even means, understandably. It is a morphed-out, government created and controlled, nightmare based on good old fashioned health insurance. Neither are they concerned about education. They are not educated enough to realize the importance of education. They come here because this so happens to be the 'Rome' of the days of the Caesar. They want to proper. And they can make ten times the wages here as they do South of here. I am assuming we are all talking about Latin Americans.

The USgovt. is the plunderer of the world's people. Plundering is mostly covert now and mainly achieved by the trickery of central banking. We happened to be born in a place that prints the world's reserve currency.

It is completely understandable that folks like to live in 'Rome' and they are proud of it. But please don't be in denial about the origin of your relative world wealth.

Peace.

Yes they do

Canadians come here for 'health care'. There is a whole hospital in Lebanon NH devoted to Canadians who are on a waiting list in their own country or were denied the service..

I assumed the conversation was about

Latin Americans. Do they get free care? I have no idea about Canadians. It seems these arguments are always about the Native American immigrants.
