The Bible does not support Zionism (the geopolitical variety anyway)
Submitted by Steven of Virginia on Fri, 11/16/2012 - 20:40My liberty friends, you will hear in heightened tones from your "Christian" friends and family that the bible mandates we " christian/ americans" must support the State of Israel. The bible does not endorse any geo-political entity. Please take time to watch and listen to this relatively short documentary and share it with those who are willing to consider that this long held assumption may in fact be a distortion of biblical truth, by those with narrow political and economic interests. This false mantra(meme) exits in many of my generation (50 and up) and is passed down to the next. Please watch> http://vimeo.com/29901084 Political Zionism is racism and "un-christian" because it requires one to show favoritism, which God does not do. **Then Peter began to speak: “I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism.....

Schlomo Sands, and Israeli
Schlomo Sands, an Israeli Jew and professor, would disagree with you in his book, Invention of a People. Please cite your reference for your claims. Regardless, your claims don't justify Israeli apartheid or its continuing 45 year old illegal occupation and Jewish only colonization of the remaining 22 per cent of Palestine. And the Palestinians are very closely related to many of "the Jews."
Is he a geneticist.?
No he is not, so please explain the relevance of your statement.
Is he a linguist? Did he dispute the Hebrew meaning of the word "Ashkenaz"?
No he did not. So, then what's your point?
No one said anything about justifying anything.
I do have to ask you though why you care so much. Ron Paul says what is going on in that region is none of our business either way. Do you live in the region?
Do you not agree with Ron Paul?
Is he a geneticist?
Thought not. So, irrelevant.
Did he dispute the Hebrew meaning of the word "Ashkenaz"?

No one said anything about justifying anything.

he has said politically, it
he has said politically, it is none of the United States governments business. Now personally..he thinks it is a shame as to what is going on with the palestian people. AS a moral living human being everyone should feel for the pain, anguish and imprisonment these people have to go through every day of their lives..It should be up to the people..not the government to take care of the lesser..and that is Exactly what we are doing. it is our duty

The Bible may not support it
but the American taxpayers most certainly do, as least financially anyways. What a nation of cowards we are, to allow them to subjecate us to this rogue nuclear armed "state".

An accurate analysis by Philip Mauro
From his book 'The Gospel of the Kingdom'
-------------------------------------------
"WHO ARE THE "ALL ISRAEL" OF ROM. 11:26?
The "all Israel" of Rom. 11:26 is the whole body of God's redeemed people. It is composed of "the election" (which, as we have seen, has "obtained" what the natural Israel as a whole had "not obtained") with the addition thereto of believers from among the Gentiles. For the main purpose of this passage (Rom. IX-XI) and that also of chapter IV, and likewise of Galatians (chapters III and IV) is to make known that the real "Israel," the true "children of Abraham," who inherit the promises of God, are not the natural seed of Abraham but his spiritual seed.
Paul proves his doctrine, and at the same time exhibits the great difference between Abraham's natural seed and his spiritual, by citing the historical fact that "Abraham had TWO sons" (Gal. 4:22); and from the Old Testament records of the very different things that befell Ishmael and Isaac respectively, Paul deduces the great difference, in the purposes of God, between the unbelieving mass of the Israelitish people (answering to the son of the bondwoman) and the believing "remnant" (answering to the son of the free-woman). For those things, the apostle tells us, "are an allegory," the meaning of which he proceeds to explain (Gal. 4:21-31).

...and so on.
^ Great!
This is a great summary of the Bible's teaching on Israel.
"Be a listener only, keep within yourself, and endeavor to establish with yourself the habit of silence, especially on politics." -Thomas Jefferson
Ashkenazim
The vast majority of people who today identify themselves as Jews are known as Ashkenazim, according to their own heritage. Check your bible, Gen 10:2 and 1 Chronicles 1:6. Ashkenazim are descendants of Japheth, not Shem.
In other words they are not Semites. The Palestinians are the true Semites, along with the people of the Arabian peninsula. Today's Palestinians are the descendants of the original Christian community. They are the real Semites and many of them became followers of Islam. Their descendants are the ones being targeted by political Zionism today.
Sadly the anti-Christ has hijacked a large segment of the American Christian community. This also fulfills Biblical prophecy. This puts an interesting twist on the question of antisemitism. Christian Zionism is anti-Semitic.
The Bible is a great book. In the Gospel of Matthew Jesus says
"Blessed are the peacemakers, they shall be called sons of God". I don't see a lot of peacemaking coming out of modern Zionism. The only time I recall Jesus resorting to violence is when He removed the money changers from the temple.
Maybe they are back?
Do you know what the WORD Ashkenaz means?
It is the Hebrew word for "German" or "Norse" (northmen). That's the long and the short of it.
So, I need to ask you, how could Ashkenaz of the Old Testament, when the 12 tribes were together in (and out of) Egypt and Israel possibly be the same people who call themselves Ashkenaz today?
It's impossible because you cannot be in Egypt or the Levant and in northern europe or the caucusus at the same time. It is a descriptive adjective not a race. If you knew anything, you'd know this. That's what the word actually MEANS: German.
In other words, those same Jews, descendant of the 12 tribes, after the diaspora under the Romans, moved east, west, north and south. Those who ended up in the north of the Roman empire were referred to as Ashkenaz, completely different from the Ashkenaz of the Old Testament.
It's called History. Get some.
I cannot believe the nonsense and utter ignorance that is posted by some people here who call themselves Ron Paul supporters..
Let's say the bible did
Let's say the bible did support Zionism. Would that make an ounce of difference as to whether Israel is today in the right or in the wrong?
my point exactly! pointless to talk abt relegion coz
the issue has NOTHING to do with religion. It is about land, politics and power.
In simpler analogy, imagine the British and UN gave away California to Mexico. We we say NO WAY JOSE, but the UN and British replied:
"Shut your mouth and know your roles! This is part of historic mexico bla bla bla. You armed resistance (Second Amendment) is equal to TERRORISM. You should not own a gun. You should not defend your property or fight for your rights."
Think guys...
My view on Bible and Zionism
1) Genesis 12:3 "And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed."
This was a promise from God to Abraham.
2) Abraham had both Isaac and Ishmael as his descendants. The Israelis tribe came from Isaac and the Arabs came from Ishmael. You can argue Ishmael was not "official" but in the promise, God did not say "I bless the descendant of Isaac". In fact Isaac is no where mentioned.
3) What is happening in Palestine today has NOTHING to do with religion. It is about LAND.
4) Majority of Israelis are atheist. Majority of them came from Europe. Throughout the ages, Jews were butchered by European Christians. WHERE did these Jews fled? Some went to America, some went to Muslim land of northern africa, some went to arabia and majority went to Ottoman provinces in Europe.
5) The Palestinian in Palestine are descendant from the Israeli tribes of ancient time. Y-dna analysis confirm this. Why it is so hard to accept that they converted from Judaism to Islam? The Africans who came to America converted to Christianity after hundreds of years.
6) It was an evil act when the British gave away Palestine land to European Jews in order to kiss and makeup. Why didnt they give European land to European Jews?
Israeli Jews, athiest or not are descendant from the 12 tribes..
...as well, so demonstrates Y-DNA data. Regardless of whether they are atheist or not, or their families came from Poland, or Azerbaijan or Spain or whereever.
You cannot refute the hard scientific data.
Palestineans may also be descendent from from the same 12 tribes as you say. Hooray for them.
It doesn't change the DNA of Israeli Jews or what that DNA says regarding their heritage.
???
DNA data? Please provide a link to the data you speak of. Thanks.
Sorry I don't work for you.
Look it up yourself.
My refusal to be your slave does not change the hard facts and data which are quite publicly available.
Nor does it empower continued ignorance for any reason or justification.
That figures.
If you can't provide a link, then what you're saying could be, and likely is, garbage.
Yeah, you're right.
Since I can't prove the sun will rise tomorrow, it wont.
Or since you have failed to enslave me to do your work for you, and you are to lazy to do it yourself with readily available public information, that justifies ignorance of science.
And you call yourself a Ron Paul supporter? Nice.
One doesn't need...
...a link to show the sun will rise. What you've said, however, requires a link. What I've seen from the Internet search is a biased claim with no backup of evidence supporting their claim. So I was hoping you had a link that proves it. You apparently don't or you'd provide one.
BTW, that's "too," not "to," for future reference.
Your feelings on the matter....
don't change the facts, linked or unlinked.
"Facts"...
..what "facts". You still have not provided any...
"Always vote for principle, though you may vote alone, and you may cherish the sweetest reflection that your vote is never lost." -John Quincy Adams
Sez you.
The facts stand on their own and speak for themselves irrespective of you or me.
Ipse dixit?
Ipse dixit?

It's not a matter of faith...
..if the scientific facts are readily available and independently verifiable, but the people asking for them are too lazy to find it for themselves.
The flaw in your ipse dixit assertion is you assume I am asking anyone to trust me. Quite the opposite, I have been stressing that people VERIFY FOR THEMSELVES, but they refuse to out of both laze and the fear or knowledge that they will realize they are wrong.
Nice try though! But that's not an Ipse Dixit fallacy. It's quite the opposite of one.
That's rich. You assert
That's rich. You assert something yet the burden is on us to disprove it. You committed another one in your response by the way. You're supporting your ipse dixit with an ipse dixit that its verified, again without evidence.
Ventura 2012
Oh there is evidence. Tons of it..
Easily accessible by anyone, even you.
My failure to provide it to you does not mean that it does not exist.
My failure, for example, to provide and explain the Principia Mathematica in a discussion about gravity, for example, does not mean that the underlying scientific proof of gravity doesn't exist. It just means I haven't provided it for you.
Same thing here. It's right at your fingertips, but you refuse to find out FOR YOURSELF. It's easily verifiable.
Ipse dixit would mean I want you to rely on me as the authority. I DO NOT. I specifically want you to FIND OUT FOR YOURSELF, to avail yourself of information that is seconds away with almost zero effort. That's the polar opposite of Ipse dixit.
