The Bible does not support Zionism (the geopolitical variety anyway)

My liberty friends, you will hear in heightened tones from your "Christian" friends and family that the bible mandates we " christian/ americans" must support the State of Israel. The bible does not endorse any geo-political entity. Please take time to watch and listen to this relatively short documentary and share it with those who are willing to consider that this long held assumption may in fact be a distortion of biblical truth, by those with narrow political and economic interests. This false mantra(meme) exits in many of my generation (50 and up) and is passed down to the next. Please watch> http://vimeo.com/29901084 Political Zionism is racism and "un-christian" because it requires one to show favoritism, which God does not do. **Then Peter began to speak: “I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism.....
**Acts 10:33-35

With all due respect

Either you've forgotten or have never read about the one olive tree spoken about in Romans or any other references to Jews and Gentiles in the New Testament. If you have a concordance (you can use it online for free, of course), you could look them up for it's way too much Scripture to post here.

By the way, I believe what you're looking for in the future already was fulfilled long ago. It happened "soon," just as Christ said it would, to the generation He was speaking to ("this generation"). One thing I am certain of -- Dispensational futurism is not biblical at all.

Now there is

Some truth!

Rom 9:27-29

27 Isaiah also cries out concerning Israel:

"Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea,
[[[[[[[[[[The remnant will be saved.]]]]]]]]]]]]
28 For He will finish the work and cut it short in righteousness,
Because the LORD will make a short work upon the earth."

29 And as Isaiah said before:

"Unless the LORD of Sabaoth had left us [[[a seed]]],
We would have become like Sodom,
And we would have been made like Gomorrah."

The only reason Israel was not destroyed was because of the seed. As the post above shows; seed=Jesus and Those who follow his doctrine=remnant.

I completely agree.

The Apostle Paul was part of that Israelite remnant that believed on Christ. To this day, there are tens of thousands of Israelite Christians. But, in Romans 11, Paul predicts that one day all of Israel will turn to Christ, not just a remnant, but, as a nation.

Romans 11:25-31
25For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. 26And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: 27For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins. 28As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes. 29For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. 30For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief: 31Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy.

Verse 28 is just as relevant today as it was when Paul wrote it. There has never been a fiercer enemy of Christianity than Jews. Jesus told his desciples that the world would hate them, but, it hated him before it hated them. This is especially true of Jews. They're the ones that had Him crucified and the first persecution against the Christan church was carried out by Jews, including the first martyrdom. But, verse 28 is saying that although the Jews are enemies to Christians because of the gospel of Christ, they're still beloved by God (although separated now by their unbelief) because God has still elected them (in other words, God still intends to turn them toward Him in the future).

Who is Israel?

Scripture does not contradict Scripture. "Not all who are descended from Israel are Israel."

The belief that the whole nation would one day be saved isn't biblical. Besides, we have no way of knowing who the physical descendants of Abraham are nor does it matter. It was always by faith alone in the one true God, not by blood.

"It is not as though God’s word had failed. For not all who are descended from Israel are Israel. Nor because they are his descendants are they all Abraham’s children. On the contrary, 'It is through Isaac that your offspring will be reckoned.'" (Romans 9:5-7)

I understand where you're coming from.

But, Romans 11:25,26 really can't get any plainer. Paul specifically said that when the fullness of the Gentiles are come in that all Israel will be saved. Romans 9:5-7 is making a comparison of Ismael and Isaac to unbelieving Jews and Christian Jews in the First century. Not everyone that descended from Abraham was physically Israel because it was through Isaac that his offspring was reckoned, not through Ismael, not through Isaac's other step-siblings, and not through Esau. It was the same way spiritually. Just because a person descended from Israel (Jacob) didn't make that person a part of the spiritual Israel (the body of Christ). However, that was the case then and is still the case today. But, Paul made it clear that that won't always be the case. Israel's restoration won't be because of their blood linkage to Abraham, but, because they repent nationally when Jesus returns. That's at least how I see it. Maybe you understand it differently.

The original Adamic covenant...

...took a bad turn through the fall, leading to the Abrahamic covenant of a particular nation being a priest nation to lead the Gentile nations to God, which also took a bad turn through Israel's rebellion and idolatry and exile, leading to the weight of the covenant resting on not a particular nation, but a Person, the suffering servant in Isaiah. And as He rose, and the Church rises in Him to new life, this will in turn lead to the uptick of Israel restored, and then finally the uptick of all things being restored as in Colossians. :) Nested covenants and priests, leading to the core Covenant and High Priest as the focal point. :)

Well-said.

It is not a contradiction to believe that one day the role of Israel as 'priest nation' to the Gentile nations will be fulfilled and to also have doubts regarding the current Israeli political leadership's motives and wisdom. There have been plenty of evil leaders of both Israel and Judah documented in the Bible, and God remaining true to fulfilling His covenants does not mean He endorses any particular leader's actions in Israel.

But I agree with you -- Israel's true golden age lies before us.

That's the wedge though.

Many completely reject the notion that God has any future whatsoever for the nation of Israel and therefore don't see the organizational return of the descendants of Abraham to Palestine as part if God's future plan. The Bible simply predicts Israel's dispersion and return. It doesn't say how they return, condone the methods they use to return, or condone any of the actions they and their leaders take after returning, it merely predicts that they would return to Palestine. Likewise, people like John Hagee who claim that God's hand is on Israel like it was before Jesus came to earth and that ethnic Jews are automatically God's people whether they believe on Jesus Christ or not are in error of the simple New Testament truth that when it comes to individuals, God no longer sees any distinction between Jew and Gentile.

Exactly.

.

we first need to define

we first need to define zionism. I think many here do not even know what it is. I will leave you with this...

Revalation chapter 2
9 I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.

There are two kinds of JEWS!!! SATANISTS AKA ILLUMINATI

The ones that Jesus fought off and then there are the true Jews of God. There are many interesting videos on youtube about this. Also a good link to find good info on this from a Christian minister: http://www.texemarrs.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&...

The Golden Rule Does Not Support Zionism

Most organized religions can be boiled down to basically the golden rule, just with different window dressings.

The solution is to no longer allow window dressings to get in the way of actually seeing and understanding what is necessary to usher in peace:
