TSA arrest man for having a strange looking watch

OAKLAND, Calif. – A Southern California man was arrested at Oakland International Airport after security officers found him wearing an unusual watch they said could be used to make a timing device for a bomb, authorities said Friday.
Geoffrey McGann, 49, of Rancho Palos Verdes was taken into custody Thursday night after he tried to pass through airport security with an ornate watch that had switches, wires and fuses, according to Sgt. J.D. Nelson, a spokesman for the Alameda County Sheriff's Department.

..potentially dangerous

..potentially dangerous umbrella? They were banned at the RNC. I think the entire country is suffering from paranoid schizophrenia...

If they thought it was a bomb

Why didn't they just light a match under his ass and see if he bows up?

Funny story.

When you fly from Detroit to Amsterdam if you have so much as a Trim Nail Clipper - it will be confiscated.

But when you fly from Amsterdam to Detroit - well I accidently but my bartender's corkscrew in my carryon. I normally carry it in my checked luggage. A bartender's corkscrew, has in addition to the corkscrew itself, a folding blade nearly two inches long (longer than the blade on a box cutter), for cutting the plastic wrap around the cork.

When this was found they carefully unfolded the knife and APPROVED it. I was sure it was going to be taken.

Just very surprising how absurd TSA is compared to Security in Amsterdam.

So could my alarm clock.

Was probably a nice Rolex someone wanted - this way works better than stealing it from the little container you put your keys and such in.

Crazier and crazier.

The law cannot make a wicked person virtuous…God’s grace alone can accomplish such a thing.
