Obama Unilaterally Gives Cybersecurity Powers to the Military

Washington Post: President Obama has signed a secret directive that effectively enables the military to act more aggressively to thwart cyberattacks on the nation’s web of government and private computer networks.

Presidential Policy Directive 20 establishes a broad and strict set of standards to guide the operations of federal agencies in confronting threats in cyberspace, according to several U.S. officials who have seen the classified document and are not authorized to speak on the record. The president signed it in mid-October.

The new directive is the most extensive White House effort to date to wrestle with what constitutes an “offensive” and a “defensive” action in the rapidly evolving world of cyberwar and cyberterrorism, where an attack can be launched in milliseconds by unknown assailants utilizing a circuitous route. For the first time, the directive explicitly makes a distinction between network defense and cyber-operations to guide officials charged with making often-rapid decisions when confronted with threats.

Now More than Ever

it's clear that these 'directives' and 'executive orders' are not about protecting the people of the United States, but about elimination of threats to the gunvernment, preservation of that gunvernment, and control of anything or anyone that would threaten its' existence.

We have, IMHO, reached a watershed.

When the Internet suddenly goes dark

... Then you will see the next massive false-flag "terrorist" strike occur. Truth activists must prepare by becoming pamphleteers and reduce our dependence on the electronic lifestyle. Time to get an old printing press and become the media.

That's good the group at the BOSTON FEDERAL RESERVE

will have to wrestle with the Generals.

BOSTON -- Hundreds of thought leaders from government, academia and the tech industry joined together at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston to discuss the new agenda of the Advanced Cyber Security Center.

I just saw "cyber security" and "Federal Reserve Bank of Boston" and had to pass it along. What a fitting venue for their meeting.

Ok, so he's a self-proclaimed

Ok, so he's a self-proclaimed dictator; do whatever he wants with no Congressional oversight. And then I believe a lot of this is propaganda. As soon as I got to "Alexander has put a particularly high priority on defending the nation’s private-sector computer systems that control critical functions such as making trains run, electricity flow and water pure"....my first thought was this is probably what's going to happen when the collapse comes and they are still covering up the truth. Let's use another excuse to feed the masses when it does come. Can't help thinking that.

Rule by edict and proclaimation

is DICTATORSHIP. Keep your so called national health care, I know its just forced purchase of Insurance. A real long shot from anything to do with health care. Since when is the profits of an Insurance company health care. Insurance is just another parasite.
Now a military take over of our communications WTF. Goverment giving itself permission to spy on its citizens, evil vile criminal.

Try telling

that to the goofballs that prop this jerk up. I have said to alot of them in a sarcastic tone...."yeah, he really took on those evil insurance companies, by forcing everyone to buy insurance! lol Hell I could 'provide' everyone with insurance if I forced them at gunpoint to buy it." They usually just get that glazed look in their eyes and mumble "whatever".

While I tell everyone and anyone who will listen

I lead by example if they follow or not thats up to them and honestly I dont care.

My final answer is NO!

I wonder if this is somehow connected with all of the firings

of Generals.. Maybe they wouldn't play ball?

All hail King

All hail King Obama...directives and executive orders are beyond the scope of presedential powers...anything with a military application is an implied power of congress....but then who am I kidding? They pay no attention to that thing called the constitution.

You are tellin' the wicked truth!

What was it that Ron Paul stated in his farewell speech?...oh yea, "...the Constitution has failed...".
