The only good thing that Israel has done

so far is bomb RT. Too bad they can't send a few planes our way and take out the RT HQ in this country while their at it.

"Open air concentration camp" . . . Gaza

And the majority of Americans just ignore. . . or worse, keep on allowing OUR politicians to send weapons & money, that is OUR tax money, to the aggressors. Why?!? How much longer can this go on???

Gaza is a Ghetto

When the Jews dug tunnels to smuggle food and weapons into the Warsaw Ghetto during WW2, it was an act of justified resistance by the oppressed.

I could care less what

I could care less what happens to israel or palestine. If they were both wiped off the face of the earth I don't see how that would effect me in the least. We need to tend to our own business and let them settle their own affairs. That said, anyone who fires rockets at another people should not be surprised if they shoot back.

We have a hand in it - reason to care

Those are US weapons being fired by Israel purchased with US funds. We have a hand in everything Israel does, that is why I care.

Otherwise, I agree with your sentiment. No need to get involved in the conflict of others... unless of course the goal is to sell hardware.

I care.

Libertarianism isn't about not caring. I care about others and their liberty. I care so much that I actively advocate keeping the government out of their affairs. The last thing that will bring about peace is their involvement!

That goes both ways.

In fact, it's quite omnidirectional, right?

Israeli PM Yitzhak Rabin gave his life for peace

"We who have fought against you, the Palestinians, we say to you today, in a loud and a clear voice, enough of blood and tears ... enough!" - Israeli PM Yitzhak Rabin, Oslo Accords, 1994.

PM Rabin was assassinated by right wing Israelis on November 4, 1995.

Blessed are the peacemakers... but they never seem to live very long. It is disturbing that the call for violence wins so often.

I am not for or against

I am not for or against Israel. I do not care about any "biblical" claims to the land nor am I a religious person by any means. I do however think it is extremely hypocritical for anyone in the United States to talk badly about Israel protecting the land they conquered. Consider this... Israel conquered the land they inhabit much the same way that the US conquered the native americans who lived here before us. Now ask yourself this question...if the native Americans were to start firing rockets from their reservations onto US soil do you not think that there would be repercussions? Maybe the answer is for the Israelis to allow the Palestinians to build casinos?

"It does not take a majority to prevail, but an irate tireless few keen on setting the brushfire of freedom in the minds of men." - Samuel Adams

America was invaded 100s of years ago.

Palestine was stolen, under false pretext, and dirty dealing in 1946.
Time and change make the difference.

Whoa? What?

Israel isn't going to say okay, reclaiming our native country that he Romans destroyed was wrong, we're gonna dismantle our government and let Jodan, Lebanon, Egypt, and the Palistinians divide or fight over this land, we're packing our bags and moving back to Europe.

Gaza is a different issue. Gaza was taken from Egypt in war in the late 1960s just like California was taken from Mexico through war. Maybe it was wrong, but, the point is Israel owns Gaza the way we own California. I think their blockade of Gaza is despicable. The Gazans were better off before the Israeli withdrawal in '05. But, until their is new political leadership in Israel willing to negotiate with Hamas, Gaza and even Israel will be nothing but one massive, sad bloodbath.

What you are missing is that

after WW2 the land of Palestine was flooded with people who had no "right" to be there....European "Jews". These people are Jews in name only, the are not Semites. It was the Zionist cause that stole Palestine, and have waged an on going and systematic genocide against the Arab population ever since. The "State" of Israel didn't exist until 1946, so Gaza was never theirs in the first place.

Whether or not you believe Jews = Hebrews

is irrelevant to whether or not they had a right to be there. Palestine wasn't like the nation of Egypt or Turkey. It was a colony first of the Turks, then of the British. The Jews lawfully migrated to Palestine in accordance to Ottoman and British law. The native Arabs had no say in the matter. They were a subjugated people at the mercy of Turkey and later Britain. The way I see it, when the Brits pulled out, it was open season for both Jews and Arabs. If the Arabs and their neighbors could organize an Arab-run country in Palestine and subjugate the Jews to their rule and their laws, so be it. But, if the Jews could hold their own, carve out their own country in Palestine (which btw, was not anybody's country at the time), and defend themselves against their neighbors' attempts to subjugate them, then the Jews deserved to rule Palestine.

That is pure collectivist thinking.

You imagine that the populace today is responsible for the crimes of the early American empire. The voting public that elects monsters is responsible for crimes of the government today, in both Israel and the U.S.
The many who do not vote for warmongers, who indeed work to end the rule of violence and tyranny, are not responsible for wars just because they reside within the borders of evil governments.

But, imagine if the Native Amerindians were as large

a minority as blacks or Hispanics, but, no more integrated into American society than tribal Indians today. Then imagine there were constant border disputes between them and state and federal governments. Now imagine the Native Liberation Army carried out terrorist attacks on land they believed should be part of their tribes, killing U.S. women and children and continually stirred up Indian resentment against paleface occupation and past atrocities the way Indian radicals did in the late 1800s.

Actually, that scenario HAS happened in this country. It was just a long, long time ago and our government reacted just like Israel is reacting today. The big difference though is the Palistinians aren't anywhere near as outnumbered as the Indians were even two hundred years ago and don't have to worry about dying off from smallpox. Plus, there's the international factor. Israel is surrounded by the Palestinians' ethnic and religious brethren. So, the Palestinians are not likely to come out of this as badly as the Native Americans in the United States.

fair enough

...but then they musn't use the west to do their dirty work on Iran. If they don't do this then sure let them carry on with what they doing.

If "they" send Gaza back to the middle ages,

where will Israel go? It was Palestine until 1946.

I think

it is all about Iran.

The zionist in the U.S. and Israel want to further weaken Iran.

And, Israel wants to make sure that they cover the back door...Hamas and the side door...Syria and Lebanon, before they launch a cyber attack on the U.S. and blame Iran.

usa is Israel's itch with a B

Gaza War Could Pave the Way for Israeli Attack on Iran

Air strikes are escalating and Israel seems to be on the verge of sending a ground invasion force into Gaza Strip. All eyes are on Gaza, but perhaps not Benjamin Netanyahu’s eyes, which remain squarely on Iran.

yep...

they can say that the rockets that are being launched into Israel are Iranian...or that Iran is pushing the butttons. I would not put anyhting past nut-n-yahoo...the man is a psycho.
