Will Hostess be Obama's next bailout?
Submitted by fonzdrew on Sun, 11/18/2012 - 04:52A new White House petition wants President Obama to nationalize the "Twinkie industry," saving the popular junk food from possible extinction.
"We the undersigned, hereby request Barack Obama to immediately Nationalize the Twinkie industry and prevent our nation from losing her sweet creamy center," a petition on the White House "We the People" website requests.

Lord have mercy!
People are getting stranger by the day! How ridiculous! Then again, the White House is known to do stupid things! Guess it depends on how much Mr. Obama likes his Twinkies! That would make Michelle, the food police, very, very angry! LOL!
Hostess would be insane to
Hostess would be insane to ask for a bailout.
GM's bailout resulted in 100% loss for GM. Just check out their stock quote: http://www.google.com/finance?cid=14194 That's because the "new GM" is a completely separate company than the "old GM." It was a fleecing, not a bailout, and the proceeds went to their friends.
The new GM = General Motors COMPANY
The old GM = General Motors CORPORATION
Named quite similarly, but two different companies. Named in such a way to help convince Americans that GM was saved by big gov when it was actually destroyed by big gov. Even the new GM's website itself explains a little of this: http://www.gm.com/company/investors/FAQs.html (last question at the bottom).

Really?
Quite an ignorant statement. Hostess is on the auction block tomorrow morning and they are done. But Little Debbie or some other snack food maker will purchase the "brand" hoho or twinkie or King Don or whatever. So, you will still get twinkies it will just be another company making them. When you purchase a brand you get the exact recipe. I expect Proctor and Gamble to buy these brand products from Hostess.
Did you know that 95% of egg rolls that you buy in stores or at chinese restaraunts are all made by the Schwan's food company? They also own and make a huge majority of frozen pizza's....many different name brands...FYI
It's possible, but Hostess
It's possible, but Hostess has a couple things going against it
1) while its big, its not big enough
2) second and most important, it isn't a bank.

What about
The auto industry, they aren't banks, and they got bailed out. Nothing would surprise me, but I do think its unlikely they will get bailed out.
But once they take over
But once they take over health care, they won't allow you to eat any of their products!
I don't think so
There used to be many varieties of "twinky", which I guess being a military brat, traveling around, you see simular products labled under different corporations.. like take Maynoaise,, Here in CA, Unliever BEST Foods, is AKA Hellman's in the south.
Dolly Madison, Little Debbies, Krispy Cremes, I think twinky is goin' down.. others will come out with there versions, and noe will "be the same". But let's face it, few admot they eat GMP frankenfood with Hostess was all about sugar and enriched flour.. highly processed, it's losing on the market as people become more health conscience.. They have a place in history, not the NWO.

The United States has enough of these already.
Oh yes...
Please bail out hostess! To creamy to fail! ;)
Lol
Good one. I use to love Ho Ho's, or as they called them during Christmas, Ho Ho Ho's.
Another bailout!
That is all we need! The unions put them out of business, an want us to take over flipping the bill! Outrages!
Hostess
went bankrupt numerous times in the past decade, so it was not just the unions, but bad management as well.

Ya
6 different Presidents in 8 years, that's crazy. I think between bad management, the high pay do to unions, and people eating healthier things (organics), it shouldn't be surprising that they are going under.
