Al Jazeera Iraq broadcast station was one of the early destroyed targets of the 2003 Iraq War
I didn't realize there were so many "pro Russian" activists on the site. For those of you who think Russia is some sort of beacon of freedom I have news for ya.
But that it stands up to US imperialism is a feather in anyone's cap.
because they are some more beacon of freedom and morality. They want their own empire. If I'm gonna be under someone's rule, I'd rather it be our government than Vladimir Putin...
Without a FORMER super power (as part of the USSR) doing so, nobody would.
Russia doesn't have 900 military bases in 130 countries like the Imperial US does. In the entire world it had just ONE miltary base anywhere, not part of the former USSR - that being in Syria.
Don't worry about Russia having its own empire. Its 900 military bases behind the US and has a lot of catching up to do.
I said Russia does not stand up to our imperialism because they are some bastion of freedom & morality.
They stand up because they want their own empire. I'm not debating the size of our own military, I'm just letting ya know that Russia does stand up, but they do so because they have their own agenda of empire. I don't think I'd like to be under the rule of Vladimir Putin...
Regardless of imagined motivation, I am far less concerned by Russia with ONE nonformer Soviet military base than I am with US having 900 of them.
In general when two competeing entities have a score of 900 to 1, I am more concerned, with the entity that has 900 than I am with the entity having 1. Call me funny that way.
The odds on us being ruled by Vladimir Putin any time soon are fairly small and not a concern to anyone except to those those who are irrational and hysterical.
And ANYONE who stands up to a superpower intent on bullying and pushing others around, as the US has shown itself to do, shows some morality and interest in freedom by opposing those acts by mere definition.
1.When you want world news - read RT
2.When you want Russia related news - read Al Jazeera
3. When you want to see CRAP - watch CNN/MSNBC/FOX/
ps: There is no diff between "liberal" or "conservative" news agency. They are all crap really getting their news from the same group
How much do they report on the offenses of their own government? Crickets....
All media is propaganda for an agenda.
Not a chance.
Romney would have had us fully commited with troops and weaponry to support Israel's ridiculous aggression.
than leave, Israel is overcovered in the news anyways. don't risk your lives for an overrated unimportant story. RT is only good for being a watchdog on American goverment policies anyways stick to that, i am sure that is what most watch it for in the first place.
there are some who speak with double tongue.
Israel had warned in advance to stay away from Hamas and its facilities. It had even dropped leaflets in English and Arabic.
Israel continues supplying Gaza with food, medicine and even food for the Gaza's animals.
RT is using Israeli military footage posted on line, but edited a bit. If you look closely, it was a surgical strike - dishes of other TV stations on the same roof were left intact. Israel even cut electricity to the building hours prior to the attack to force the employees to leave. But hey,.... Jews are not the main audience of RT, BBC or al-Jazeera.
By the way, see good reporting of an ARAB reporter from within Israel dodging Hamas rockets (she, of course, forgot to mention that a rocket landed in Israeli school yard.)
Don't you know that THE reason why Ron Paul was not nominated as the Republican nominee was because he REFUSED to kow-tow to the demands of being pro-israel?
You really think it was so much his economic policy? How many times have you heard those neocons said..."i like his economic policy but hsi foreign policy..."
IF Ron Paul dropped his FP agenda, then trust me he would be our President now.
I almost never post but I have to mention something that seems to be going on in the Liberty movement.
Everyone seems to have an opinion about Israel. Some think they are evil while others see them as being in the same boat as we are--at the whim of a growing government. Whatever is true about Israel, we know one thing for sure: Israel is not America. Her interests are not our own.
Perhaps I feel sympathy for the innocent Israelis who are frequently attacked by Hamas. Or perhaps I am appalled by the arrogant assertions of power that Israel wields over the people of Gaza. If we see the ancient squabbles going on in that area of the world as something that should affect U.S. foreign policy, we mistake. There should be a single policy--Peace between the U.S. and other nations. The one thing that ALL other nations should be confident about, which is that the U.S. will not be drawn into their wars. We will not make entangling alliances. We will not involve ourselves in arguments that we know little-to-nothing about.
We shouldn't be looking to subdue Israel, OR her enemies, OR anybody else in the world.
War or peace.
With war, eventually it will mean the utter devastation and destruction of the region, whether they be Jew, Muslim, Zorostrian, or whatever.
With peace, they all live in relative harmony.
Either way their futures are entirely dependent on each other. In Israel itself, the non-Jewish population is growing much faster than the Jewish population.
It's so sad they cannot see the path forward.
Netanyahu has an election to weasel into and Hamas sees the blockade of Gaza hasn't been in the news lately, and so it goes.
The way the children of the region are brainwashed almost from birth to hate each other - think of each other as less than human, worthless, dogs.....is a frightening prospect.
This is how the Nazis used to teach their children.
This is a test for the Israeli Iron Dome. Of course they will wipe out all the gains that have been made in the Gaza Strip... and weaken their forces. But, I'm looking at it as a test to see if the Dome is viable. This is in need before the attack on Iran... There always is another objective behind the smoke screens.

All must be well there now, have not heard much ;)
But Israel is something else.
It's unsurprising that Israel would destroy an RT affiliate, RT is one of very few networks with a presence in America that isn't towing the Zionist line.
“My attitude toward progress has passed from antagonism to boredom. I have long ceased to argue with people who prefer Thursday to Wednesday because it is Thursday.” - G.K. Chesterton
of course it was an accident.. just like the uss liberty.
of stirring up Russia. Warmongering *&%($#!
This is not Israelis.
This is the Israeli Government.
So it's actually another war we're fighting.
"Believe half of what you see, and none of what you hear." - Benjamin Franklin
The reason for the present belligerence towards Hamas is primarily the elections due on January 22 2013. This mindless hostility towards the Palestinians and any other "enemy" is fodder for the electioneering propaganda machine. The same dynamic is at work with regard to Iran. They must always have a bogeyman to frighten the people into their innate paranoia. Whatever the instrument the aim is always political power and to distract the people from their worsening social conditions.
Of course the Israeli people are mostly brainwashed like the American people to support these actions but they are nevertheless responsible for what their government is doing in their name. There is a minority there as there is in America who are aware of the duplicity of the leaders and disagree with their objectives.
Call them the remnant if you like. But they are the only ones who can claim they have no blood on their hands because they are the only ones who oppose the carnage vocally and by their actions. Many pay for it with imprisonment and even their lives. The same is increasingly true of America. Indeed Israel and America share many such similarities. Not surprising since Israel has such influence on American society through the media, entertainment, banking and corporate suasion on government.
"Jesus answered them: 'Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is a slave to sin. The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son remains forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.'" (John 8:34-36)

"One resists the invasion of armies; one does not resist the invasion of ideas" Victor Hugo
The Israelis are the scum of the earth.
Americans are currently the ones who export the most economic terrorism throughout the world. Americans have invaded more countries in the last few decades than perhaps all other nations combined. Americans are the ones killing people in other countries with drone strikes. Etc. Etc. Etc.
Or is it more accurately a corrupt government in America that is committing these crimes?
Judging a people group by the actions of their government is pure ignorance if you ask me. There's always going to be bad and good apples in any nationality. The goal is to keep the bad apples from taking power.
In addition to teaching us about liberty and freedom, Dr. Paul has also taught us about respect and decency. Those last two are attributes that many on this site could stand to grow in.
Spare me your righteous bullshit. The Israeli people support the genocide of the Palestinian people and the lunatics that run their government. How many time has Bibi been Prime Minister? Judging the Israeli people by their government is perfectly appropriate as it is a true representation of the hate that fills their hearts.
Americans do not support our foreign policy. It is shoved down our throats.
Dr Paul has taught us to call a spade a spade.
since RT exposes Israel--
it's hard to be awake; it's easier to dream--
